I am kinda disappointed with this update story. All of my issues with it can simply be boiled to simply "Needed more time to cook"

Like this story could have good, dare I say"Peak fiction", if they made into special episode or something. We could have really dug down into fire spirit character, and have him change (the least bit) to try to be a better guardian since he has been neglectful lately. We could further explore the mines along its creatures, and learn about agar-agar cookie (having the twist be that she works for DE at the end instead being revealed at the beginning).

I still do like the story, but man, it doesn't make me optimistic for millennial tree story.

I think it would be neat if Fire Spirit and Agar Agar became friends after the events of Fire Spirit's quest. I mean, Fire Spirit is basically an endless source of food for Agar Agar. He doesn't seem to get drained as easily by her feeding on him (probably because of the dragon pearl thing he has), and she likes the warmth of fire magic, so it would only make sense for her to stay near him in the future.

Idk, I just find it cute to think about. Fire Spirit and his adopted sister that eats his magic to survive. What a mental image. Wind Archer will not be pleased.
