•Matthew is incredibly gentle and patient as a caregiver. He has a calm, grounding presence that helps Alfred feel safe and protected when he regresses

•Alfred regresses mostly to cope with stress or overstimulation. It’s not always obvious at first, but Matthew has learned to spot the subtle signs : fidgeting with his hoodie strings, becoming quieter, or clinging to Kumajirou more than usual

•Matthew never forces Alfred to talk about his regression; he just silently offers a warm blanket, a juice box, and a soft "You wanna cuddle, mon ours* ?" ( *my bear )

•Morning time usually starts with cartoons and dinosaur-shaped pancakes. Matthew lets Alfred wear his oversized maple-leaf hoodie that’s practically a blanket on him

•Nap time involves quiet lullabies, Matthew brushing Alfred’s hair softly with his fingers, and a warm cup of chamomile tea (with honey, no caffeine !)

•Alfred loves story time, especially if it’s superhero comics being read aloud in dramatic voices. Matthew obliges, even if he rolls his eyes affectionately

•They build pillow forts and make it a "Canada-America Embassy of Fluff and Snacks !"

•Alfred adores coloring books and stickers. Matthew keeps a special box of glitter gel pens just for these moments

•On particularly little days, Alfred has a plushie he names "Captain Teddy" and insists Matthew salutes him. Matthew plays along — "Oui, Captain !"

•If Alfred has nightmares or flashbacks, Matthew is always there with a soft glow lamp, a hushed voice, and bear hugs

•Sometimes, Alfred is ashamed or embarrassed about regressing, he worries he’s "too much" or "not mature enough" . Matthew always reassures him gently :

- "Even heroes need rest, Alfie. You’re safe with me"

•When Matthew senses Alfred starting to feel overwhelmed again, he might softly hum French lullabies or offer a gentle "Come sit with me, mon petit chou*" ( *my little sweetheart)

•They have a "Little Days Box" : full of small surprises like stickers, pop-its, superhero band-aids, and glittery play dough. Matthew only brings it out when Alfred is having a particularly hard day

•On quiet evenings, they sit under a shared weighted blanket, watching clouds or snow fall outside, drinking warm milk. Alfred dozes off halfway, his hand in Matthew’s, drooling slightly. Matthew just smiles and tucks him in

Lola Regression Headcanons

Hii!! Ehm sorry if ur req are closed but can you do regression headcanon of my kitty (it's a genuine req sorry if you don't accept :<) (her name is Lola and she's very silly >w<) here's pic of her !!

•Favorite Little Space Spot : A big, squishy blanket nest. Preferably on a soft couch or bed with a warm patch of sunlight. She’ll knead it like it’s her life’s mission before flopping down with a dramatic sigh

•Comfort Item : A plushie that’s way too big for her—probably shaped like a fish or a tiny mouse. She carries it around by the scruff like it’s her baby

•Little Age Vibe : Around 3-4 in pet regression terms. She’s verbal in her own chirpy way, very expressive, and loves attention when she’s in that space

•Favorite Activities : Chasing crinkly balls, pouncing on invisible things, and making biscuits on anything remotely soft. She might also enjoy being read to or having lullabies played for her while she dozes off

•Regression Snacks : A tiny bowl of milk (warm, of course), or soft kitty treats. Bonus points if they’re hand-fed with lots of cooing and praise

•Affirmations she likes to hear : “Good baby” “You’re safe” , “Such a sweet little girl” . She thrives on gentle voices and will nuzzle or blink slowly in response

•Caregiver Moments : She might climb into a lap and immediately start purring, requesting head pats while making tiny bleps. She also demands to be swaddled like a baby burrito sometimes

•Regression Quirk : When overstimulated or needing to regress, she hides in boxes or under furniture with just her little face poking out

If Lola could watch cartoons :

•Top favorite : Bluey. She LOVES how playful and imaginative it is. Every time the intro plays, she perks up and gets all wiggly. She thinks Bingo is her soul sibling

Puffin Rock : calming and cute, perfect for when she’s in a sleepy baby mood

Gabby’s Dollhouse , she stares intently during the songs and gets excited when the kitty characters pop up

Tom and Jerry , she’s obsessed with the chaos. Every chase scene = pure joy

•Watching style : flopped sideways, paws tucked under her chest, tail twitching with excitement. Occasionally tries to “boop” the screen when a character moves too fast. Definitely chirps at them
