Before everyone losses their shit, I will like to urge everyone to talk a deep breath and focus on the following:

1: This cannot go into immediate effect.

2: There is still many issues that WILL be addressed by the Congress, Supreme Court, and many other government officials have a current say in the false comments, stolen idenities, denial of public hearings, and many other issues that the FCC did not address.

3: CALL. YOUR. OFFICALS. Do NOT give up, just because the vote has passed, don’t you DARE stop. Make this shit go front-page, make some NOISE.

Did you know that in Scotland red butterflies were once believed to be a witch in disguise?

Shiganshina, although barely registering as even a speck on the most meticulous of maps, was pretty well enough known in the right kind of crowd. Great bustling cities might have a handful of legitimate witches amongst the hordes of charlatans and pretenders, but it was a lucky thing in the countryside to have a reliable crone even three days ride away. For such a small village to have two good witches to its name cemented Shiganshina pretty securely on the radar of any theurgist worth half their salt, and with such a title and reputation came power in more than just the arcane sense.

Levi’s last two visits to Shiganshina had been brief and distracted to say the least. He was barely conscious the first time, and the second time he’d been too focused on his singular mission to meet Eren. So having accepted Carla’s unsettlingly ominous invitation to visit the family, Levi was fully prepared for some heavy scrutiny and awkward dinner conversation. Trying to impress the parents was never an easy task, but that was so regardless of the magical capabilities of the parents in question. He figured he’d sat through enough stately dinners at Lord’s houses with Erwin to know how to make half a good impression. He’d just never counted on how similar that likeness would turn out to be.

“My father is the village doctor. His name is Grisha, but everyone calls him ‘Sir’ or ‘Doctor Jaeger’ round here,” Eren said. Levi was getting a crash-course in all the necessary background information he would need to prepare himself for the meeting. It felt like a military debriefing, or at least he thought so. Eren just seemed thrilled to be home and showing Levi around the place he grew up. “He’s pretty easy going, you really don’t have to worry about him. He mostly lets my mother do all the talking.”

“Your mother,” Levi echoed uneasily. “Right.”

today is Nov. 15. the FCC, under chairman Ajit Pai, will not listen to the public despite millions of comments in support of net neutrality. They are going to try their hardest to kill net neutrality, which in turn will kill the internet, which in turn will help eradicate democracy. it won’t just affect Americans, it has the potential to affect the entire internet, something we ALL use daily. you can bet your ass other countries will see america doing this, and use it as an excuse to do it in their own countries.

this is what buying a plan without net neutrality looks like there:

you have to pay MORE for features you’re already guaranteed to have under net neutrality. and in america, you already know how expensive everything is.

democrats AND republicans both want net neutrality. advocacy groups in touch with congress have said that if your members of congress receive calls from you, they are more encouraged and more likely to take action to stop Pai’s plan to gut net neutrality. after Nov. 22, it will be MUCH HARDER to convince your member of congress.

Imagine paying $40 extra a month for Tumblr

That’s what is going to happen if we let Ajit Pai, the FCC chairman, go through with repealing Title II (AKA Net Neutrality).

Simply put, without Net Neutrality, Internet Service Providers like Comcast, Verizon, and AT&T will be able to “bundle” websites much like cable ON TOP OF paying for internet connection. “Want access to Netflix AND Tumblr? Get the Entertainment Package! $40 a month. What about Amazon and Ebay? Add an extra $20 a month to get the Shopping Package.”

Not only will they be able to bundle websites and charge more, they will also be able to censor and block websites that they don’t agree with entirely.

THIS WILL BE THE END OF INTERNET AS WE KNOW IT.

For business owners, it will be even worse. Ex: Comcast will ask Amazon to pay high fees to be available in a low-cost package, fees that websites like Poshmark or Etsy will not be able to pay. Therefore, only Fortune 500’s will be available to web users at a low cost. Say goodbye to Etsy (unless you’re willing to shell out $70 a month for the “All-Inclusive” package).
