I have this beautiful long curio/senecio radicans that lived all summer on my porch railing. I didn’t want to cut it and could not find something to hold it up; so I made something tonight.

Nights in the low 20’s spook me. Even with ample cold frame space; I’m not down to risk it, aside from the leeks and some bigger pansies. Half of these seedlings have been outside since 3/17. It’s fun to see them all in one place.

In February, I built some cold frames that are easy to use, store and disassemble. I really value the covered space this time of the year. These have been holding seedlings to harden off for the last two weeks.

Kalanchoe gastonis-bonnieri. A sinister looking plant. Commonly known as ‘Mother of Millions’ and it is easy to see why.
