FINAL POSTERS

I made sure the colours were vibrant and added even more halftone to emphasise the distressed feeling. Red was used to evoke emotion, with alarming, dangerous connotations. Chaos is enforced by the haphazard orientation of elements, and brokenness with the main type being skimmed and sliced into shards. The boxes are a prominent motif, appealing to the notion of sorting things into boxes / organising them. I thought this was also reminiscent of error boxes and malfunctions with technology which was a visual cue for the audience’s understanding, but also contrasted nicely with the humanity of the message. They’re quite harsh, cut and dry shapes; no nonsense. «Sort it out. »

added more chaos 😈
The “by” box now flickers and disappears, sending the text resting on it flying. Furthermore, this is a catalyst to the “how”, “can” and “in” boxes flickering as they come in contact with the flying text. This will help lead into the second poster animation.

1-on-1 FEEDBACK
fix composition on poster 2 - so close but not there yet - triangular layout with elements getting larger/closer to viewer as we follow along
don't have to make poster 2 much quieter than poster 1
if I make halftone on poster 1 more prominent, may not need outline !
manually added shake to text, but can use jitter effect
TOO MANY LAYERS

it's more vibrant on indesign - some colours are lil muddy here ew can touch up so they're brighter anyway
it's more vibrant on indesign - some colours are lil muddy here ew can touch up so they're brighter anyway
let's try put into illustrator shall we
a little better
still dull but it's this website
I like the green but I don't love the green. I think it has great visual impact and it's pretty clean. It helps to brings about connotations to money and how our funds should be properly managed as to provide sufficient (mental) healthcare for kiwis. Kind of four square adjacent though.. And think the red colour scheme would be effective too, especially on some nice paper. Seems a bit corporate ?
visual pun with the "out" breaking down and veering away but mayb not worth sacrificing a legible statement.
warm red is giving lego aw man

Notes from Peer + Formative Feedback + 1-1
cut up text + halftone makes the pair look cohesive
stretched text should be removed or exaggerated
cut up text in the second poster is working well - more cut up text in first poster
more texture in second poster to connect to the first poster
check margins
more colour exploration
my own critiques:
yeah check margins + aligning elements
explore more options outside of default typefaces ?
i like colour and i like illustration so let's look at that more.
1-1 feedback
we have the problem, but what's the solution ? could include a call to action - i.e "sort it out", "manage our funds", "do something about it"
research on how to address the broken/under-pressure (mental) health system
experiment with going back to solid type - half-tone may be unneeded.
more visual rest for the second poster ?
emphasis on "CRISIS"
better cropping ?

✧˖°. a r t i s t m o d e l s ✧˖°.
A lot of super cool effects here and effective use of planes/panels/lines. At times, the visuals look 3D, successfully suggesting they exist in beyond the screen - even with the pixel visuals.
