OMG I haven't seen a lot of people mention that the idea behind iwtv is that they all love eachother. Claudia did love lestat, and she did love louis but it gets complicated because of that love! She hates that she was so betrayed by the 2 of them and hates that she still loves them. Lestat clearly loves louis and Claudia. Even though in the books lestat has a lot of love interests, it's always louis. And louis clearly loves Claudia and weaponizes his love for lestat. We never hear him say "I love you l" to lestat which is part of the reason louis and him fought when Claudia came back to take louis. The tragedy is the love of a vampire.

Can we please appreciate Odysseus being a silent stalker in the shadows, taking out suitors with his bow, not deigning to speak to them as he takes them out one by one
until some of them go "we have to strike him in the darkness too! we know the halls of this palace! the odds can be tilted!"
and Odysseus, built this palace with his very hands, has to step out of the shadows like "are you this fucking stupid"
