WHEN boredom kicked in, nora often found herself wandering aimlessly around the ship, which is how she’d seemed to end up near the design stage -- a place she wouldn’t frequent on a normal day. she was going to just walk on by until she heard the other speak up. offering him a shrug, nora stepped in the direction he was beckoning her. “ ooh, i like it -- did you do this? ”

            finally  ,  jae  was  no  longer  dealing  with  a  thick  fog  when  it  came  to  his  designing  .  he’s  been  in  the  student  lounge  for  the  better  part  of  seven  hours  ,  sketching  and  re - sketching  before  moving  to  the  design  stage—  cutting  apart  and  sewing  together  fabric  while  pricking  himself  in  the  finger  with  pins  .  jae  proudly  steps  back  from  his  creation  ,  head  tilting  as  he  spots  a  familiar  face  .  ‘  hey  ,  come  look  at  this  ,  ’  his  hand  waves  them  over  and  motions  towards  the  mannequin  in  front  of  him  .  ‘  what  do  you  think  ?  ’

“ at risk of sounding like a self-proclaimed fat kid -- i would very much like to join you for food. ” nora spoke with a delicate smile. “ where are we going? ”

“ i mean, i can judge you because it’s a free country, but i get what you’re saying. ” she spoke in a teasing tone. “ i honestly don’t think anyone has ever suggested that costume to me before, but i will definitely keep it in mind for next year! ”

IN the middle of one of the emptying classrooms , asher stands among a group of first year fashion students giggling . “ ow , ” as one of them puts another needle in the back to hold it , the dress pinned over his sports kit , “ what ? do i look like cinderella ? let me see ! ”

“ honestly i’m still surprised you’re letting those first years stab you repeatedly. ” she spoke in a teasing tone as she glanced at the other. “ not exactly cinderella, but close i guess? ”
