goemon’s facial features didn’t flinch at the hermit persona’s reply.     “   as slow witted as usual …   ”     he removed the kiseru from his lips and breathed the tobacco smoke on their face. necronomicon was not exactly someone he took very seriously when all this grimoire did when they were not being useful in the metaverse was to tease the rest and throw out snarky comments.     “   as intellectual as you might be, that will also slow you down when you aren’t able to analyse all the information and knowledge fast enough. for example, in a matter of life or death, one second is all it takes to determine an outcome between the two.   ”

the emperor persona knew what he was implying, but he left it at that. if necronomicon was as clever as they always bragged about being, surely they would be able to see where he was going with this … eventually. it was hard for goemon to respect a child who bragged like a snobby know - it - all rather than being a decent character with the knowledge they had. surely he’d be able to get along with the other persona more often if they weren’t so snarky all the time, which was just exhausting to deal with.
