➸ a/n: this was meant to be short,,,but clearly idk what drabbles are and im an inconsistent pos lol. but any who, hope u enjoy this and it’s not too crappy.

She should’ve known better than to let herself fall for someone like Jaehyun. In fact, when she met the boy and eventually befriended him, she made a promise to herself to never fall under his charm. 

She knew his reputation, she knew his type. The type that didn’t fall in love, or had actual relationships–at least not the committed type ones. He wasn’t  a one woman or man kind of guy. He did what and who he pleased without a care of anyone’s feelings but his own. It was just who he was. 

Granted, yeah he slept around and didn’t do commitment, he was still a decent guy. Which is how he managed to get under ________’s skin. 

For some reason, even though he knew she wanted nothing to do with him in the sense that he’d initially approached her for–he still stuck around. Which was weird considering he didn’t have female friends–which was a whole different story in itself. 

But ________ accepted his friendship, and gave him hers in return as long as he knew where they stood. 

Somewhere along the line though, she truly got to know him on a deeper, personal level. She came to know his quirks, likes and dislikes. The things that made him happy, and things that made him unhappy. She got to witness a whole new different side of him she never knew existed, and it was then that she slowly but surely fell for him. 

Which was a big, huge, colossal mistake. 

As one of Jaehyun’s few and closest friends, she got to witness first hand a lot of his pursuits–he was mostly never unsuccessful. So it kind of sucked major balls. 

Here she was, helplessly in love with him, while he was completely oblivious to her true feelings and carried on with his–well for better lack of words, ‘fuck boy’ lifestyle. 

Sure, it had been a while since she actually heard about Jaehyun hooking up with someone, but everyone goes through dry spells, even the almighty hot and coveted Jaehyun. It was only a matter of time though, before one of her friends came with brand new gossip revolving around her best friend’s recent hot hook up. 

Enough was enough, she thought. Moping around over some asshat did her no good, she deserved better than this–than him. 

________ wasn’t one to go out to parties and get shit faced, but she was kind of nursing a broken heart at the moment and she needed a distraction. So, when Johnny invited her to some random house party, she said yes. 

She was stupid to think Jaehyun wouldn’t be there, but there he was, right smack in the middle of the kitchen drinking from a red plastic cup, a smirk on his face. 

She tried to avoid running into him, and for the most part she was successful. That’s until she kind of lost count of how many drinks she’d had, then suddenly found herself drinking shots with Johnny, everyone crowding around them and cheering them on. 

Jaehyun, not one to miss out on the fun, neared the garage where there was a commotion going on 

“Alright, we’re doing shots!” he exclaimed. 

__________ whipped around, nearly choking. She’d completely forgotten Jaehyun was here. 

“________?” he questioned completely shocked to see her at one of these things, and taking shots none the less. 

“Uh, hey Jae” she giggled wiping her lips. 

“What are you doing here?” he asked still confused. He wasn’t sure he was too happy to see her here. There were a lot of assholes, and well–she was a good looking girl. 

“Johnny invited me” she stated as if it were obvious. “Oh, oh! I love this song! Dance with me Seo!” she exclaimed turning to Johnny who only grinned like a doofus and nodded. 

Ignoring Jaehyun–something she’s being doing a lot of recently, she pulled on Johnny’s hand and dragged him inside to where the music was blaring. 

“________!” exclaimed jogging after them. 

It was no use though, the music was too loud and they were already at the center of the living room dancing along with a crowd of drunk and sweaty people.  

Something in Jaehyun’s gut twisted as he watched how Johnny’s hands were tight on ________’s hips, and her hands were around his neck, a bright happy and carefree smile on her face. 

He’s not sure why, but with clenched fists, he walks up to them and grabs ________’s hand. He pulls her away, kind of gruffly, and drags her out through the front door. 

“Hey, Jaehyun!” she exclaims angrily, “what the hell? Let go! For fuck’s sake, LET. ME. GO!” she yells. Jaehyun drops her hand and turns to glare at her. 

“What the hell is wrong with you?” Jaehyun exclaims, “and why have you been avoiding me? Now suddenly you’re a–what a party goer?” he asks in annoyance. 

“What the hell is wrong with you? Why are you all up in my ass? Go find someone to pass the time with, go do what you usually do at these things and leave me alone!” she yells. 

“Why are you here with Johnny?” he asks, “I don’t like it” he states as if it matters somehow. 

“Johnny is my friend, you’re not my only friend Jaehyun. If you don’t like it, too bad, deal with it!” she exclaims. “Just like how I deal with your stupid endless hook ups” she mumbles, but Jaehyun doesn’t hear her. 

“I don’t want to fall in love!” Jaehyun tells her loudly, and ________ looks at him like he’s gone mad. “Not at all” he continues, “but at some point you smiled and I was like holy shit. I blew it” he exhales defeatedly. 

“What are you even saying, Jaehyun?” ________ asks not wanting to hope that what he was saying was true. 

“I’m saying that I’m kind of in love with you damn it, and I don’t want you to go back in there to Johnny. I want you to come home with me right now, so that I can tuck you into bed and make sure you’re safe tonight. And then I can call you tomorrow and ask you out on a proper date” he groans rubbing his hand over his face. 

“If this is all a great big joke just to get me to go home, I swear I’ll shove my foot so far up your ass Jung Jaehyun” ________ threatens. 

“I hope you remember all of this tomorrow, I really don’t feel like confessing to you again” Jaehyun grumbles. 

“I hope I don’t so that you have to confess all over again. Buy me flowers, you dick” she says with a giggle.

Prompt: Jaehyun reaction where a member looks like he's getting a little too close to his girl Jaehyun, I feel like he would be a very protective boyfriend. It doesn't mean that he gives absolutely no freedom and ban u from interacting with the other members. He would most likely even encourage u to come join them whenever they hang out cuz who wouldn't want their gf and bestfriends to get along right? But being his careful and protective self, he would always keep an eye on u out of habit. Normal conversation would be fine of course but whenever u guys get too close he will definitely do something about it.
