I’m going to be putting all four of my blogs - Ellie, Tao, Rowena, and Galen - on a semi-hiatus until sometime toward the end-ish of January due to school starting back, an upcoming trip, and my mental health (this). I’ll be around, but probably very slow.

Note
can I ask how you did your flipping posts?
Tumblr media
Its called a CSS Card Flip Animation. There are a lot of tutorials out there, but the one I used was by David Walsh. I’m not confident enough to give a full tutorial, but the basics of how I did it are under the cut and I will probably post the full theme code on NoodleHelps eventually.
Basically the best way I can explain it is that the “front” of your card is the picture and the “back” is the posts.
You’re going to want the get the CSS and paste that above  as with anything you create.
/* entire container, keeps perspective */.flip-container { perspective: 1000px;} /* flip the pane when hovered */ .flip-container:hover .flipper, .flip-container.hover .flipper { transform: rotateY(180deg); }
.flip-container, .front, .back { width: 320px; height: 480px;}
/* flip speed goes here */.flipper { transition: 0.6s; transform-style: preserve-3d;
position: relative;}
/* hide back of pane during swap */.front, .back { backface-visibility: hidden;
position: absolute; top: 0; left: 0;}
/* front pane, placed above back */.front { z-index: 2; /* for firefox 31 */ transform: rotateY(0deg);}
/* back, initially hidden pane */.back { transform: rotateY(180deg);}
The HTML part is only a little bit tricker. Start with the code I have below, and post that right before your posts (which is probably div id=“posts” or something).
Now you literally just insert whatever you want the front of your card to be. Mine is an image, but you could also use text or whatever. Now paste in the code below, this closes the FRONT of the card and then opens the back.
Now scroll to RIGHT BELOW your posts and put in these three close tags.
Now if its being stupid, that’s probably because tumblr doesn’t like you to copy and paste code and messes with the parenthesis, so you probably shouldn’t copy and paste directly from me, go to the blog I linked instead and find the code that matches mine.

There’s something all together not quite right about the stranger - if she was stronger, like Professor X there wouldn’t be this problem she thinks bitterly - and Ellie resists the urge to back away slowly, knowing that it won’t gain her anything. “Do you bite?”

“Which came first, the phoenix or the flame?”         “Hmm … What do you think, Harry?” said Luna, looking thoughtful.         “What? Isn’t there just a password?”          “Oh no, you’ve got to answer a question,” said Luna.          “What if you get it wrong?”          “Well, you have to wait for somebody who gets it right,“ said Luna. “That way you learn, you see?”          “Yeah … Trouble is, we can’t really afford to wait for anyone else, Luna.”          “No, I see what you mean,” said Luna seriously. “Well then, I think the answer is that a circle has no beginning.“          “Well reasoned,” said the voice, and the door swung open.
