The idea behind this is actually really silly because I just asked myself what if the Famous AnHane card was with Akito and Toya and this is what my brain conceived.

I wanted to make it simple and quick but in the end I got sick and overworked soooo yeah imagine me like Internet Explorer.

As for this piece, I thought that Lalum and Nini differences in attitudes while having the same (game) role reminded me of Ranka Lee and Sheryl Nome from Macross Frontier so I tried to make a nod to their duets.

I also think it would have been really nice to see them interact in canon, but unfortunately that's not possible. So either FEH or AU it is.

My piece for the Star Rail RNG Zine by @bycmykae featuring Yukong and Blade.

The fun story of this piece is that I rolled Yukong 3 times! But decided to try to get another character and so I got Blade. Who is actually one of my least liked HSR characters (sorry Blade fans). That's the beauty of the RNG, right?

Anyway I though that the common element between the two of them is how they had everything they wanted in life in the past but ended painfully losing a lot. And since the theme was dreams I interpreted it as dreams of something that's lost. The kind of dreams that are both comforting and devastating. Where you meet the loved ones you can't see anymore and when you realize it's just a dream you start crying, you know.

You may have noticed but in order to make it more dream-like, in a sense, the upside-down character is mirrored in each version. So in Yukong version Blade isn't just reversed but also mirrored, while in Blade version it's Yukong. So the two versions are in reality slightly different.

That said, I tried to focus less on line work for this piece. I don't dislike how the lines look, but the overall illustration is... not to my taste I guess. Oh, well.
