In the game Jedi Academy, when a character falls a distance, they have a short little gasp or yell. It's mostly the same for every avatar.. except if you play as Luke. Then you get this OMG-dramatic-unforgettable scream that is amazingly and laughably over the top.

Imagine being the empire, spending 15ish years building the Super Kill Death Laser 9,000,000 instead of doing reasonable infrastructure projects or expanding your effective military, and then it gets blown up by a random fucking dirt farmer from assfuck nowhere within like a couple days of coming online because Director "Serve Cunt at All Costs" Krennic couldn't be bothered to double check his situationship's blueprints

they really gave us a female lead in a star wars movie & made her kind and good and angry and powerful and complex & then spent the next 2 movies revolving almost her entire storyline around a white male war criminal who abused her, abused her friends, abused her family. all the while validating all the people who romanticized gaslighting and torture. for fan service lmao

Idk man. I just feel like the Acolyte had great writing for those willing to see and explore it. So it frustrates me when people say the writers were incompetent or didn’t care about what they were doing just because some people didn’t like it. Especially when the writers involved are coming from theater, tv, etc. and have different cultural backgrounds and experiences. That translates into different styles of storytelling. There is more than one way of telling a story.

I know it would be a challenge for me to pull off. So I definitely appreciate what they created.
