Pokedex update

I started filtering out Manmade/Fossil/Legendary pokemon as unavailable

Fossil resurrection tech doesn't exist yet so they just aren't there

and legendarys are kinda region locked and I don't want them to be available for a long list of reasons I am sure you can understand

but manmade pokemon have been hard because what do I count as man made? Pokemon lore is so unclear on when man made pokemon were made Like take Grimer for example, first showed up at the industrial revolution with more sludge appearing? and my region plays at the cusp of it, so I guess the first few Grimers would have appeared by now?

would they even be counted by the people as pokemon at that point? would people know about them?

Like Cursola was easy: Corral reefs dying started in the 1950 but my region plays in 1870 so they don't exist yet

but others?

also like half the pokemon that look and feel man made just never confirm they *are* which makes placing them so much harder

after I get through this hassle I will filter out all the Ice pokemon as "yes they exist but why in the world would they be in a desert region"

Some Character Info:

Vepar Ceto, the terror of the seven seas, is an eccentric person, even among demons. Being incredibly knowledgeable in the sciences and secrets of the universe, he is a valued member of the Court of Paimon. Serving as the Court Doctor, Vepar often has to lecture the other demons, being reckless with their dying bodies. A dying star isn't something to be taken lightly. Vepar searches along with the rest of the Court of Paimon for the uncrowned King of Hell.

Vepar is a side character and minor antagonist from my high fantasy story "Starburst".

Pronouns: He/She/Any

Age: Demon equivalent of a 47 year-old

Height: 2,95m

Status: Alive

Some Characteristics and Lore:

Vepar is a person many would describe as strange, which is a feat in of itself, seeing how eccentric demonkind as a whole is. They take an interest in biology and medicine, making them a much needed doctor in the demon world. The Fall from Grace is a brutal process, especially hard on the body, putting you into a slowly dying state. Having been so used to immortality, many demons struggle adjusting. But now their bodies rot, and Vepar is one of the few who can slow down the process and ease any ailments. Taking care of dying stars is quite the handful.

Besides her vast knowledge in biology and medicine, they also have connections to the sleeping horrors of the universe. Having tended to these eldritch beings during their time in heaven as a cherub, they've befriended many of them, the cosmic kraken even being a Ceto family pet. Despite them being one of the older Fallen Angels, they've yet to study all of the cosmic horrors Cosmo had unleashed on the world. Most of their free-time goes to studying these creatures.

Pokeballs

As [still need to name the region god damn it] plays roughly at the same time as Hisui Pokeballs are still rare

Only police and rich people carry them

meaning that most people only have their partner-Pokémon with them at all times and the classic 6 Pokémon teams are rare

People have herds of Wooloo and Dubwool and have a dog partner-pokemon

Cowboys lead big groups of Tauros through the desert with their ride Pokémon etc

A Pokémon can also just get lost from their trainer or get stolen or leave if it feels like it

Rayas Luxray and Tauros used to have a pokeball at their respective old trainer, tho Raya broke them after stealing them, her Wooloo got lost from it's herd.

Backstory under the cut

Madaline Reeves was a completely normal teenager, living on a farm in fuck-all-nowhere, Illinois. Yearning to get into the fashion industry and applying to colleges, she visits Chicago for her 17th birthday. After a series of misfortunes and an encounter with a local branch of A.I.M. she gets bonded to a sample of the Venom symbiote the organization has been experimenting on. Surprisingly, they are a perfect match and the symbiote, taking control of the body, rips the place apart and brings Madaline back to her hotel, retreating into the body.

Convinced that it was all a nightmare, maybe influenced by the symbiote, Madaline channels the glimpses she got from the symbiote into her fashion concepts, till A.I.M. comes knocking wanting the Symbiote back. Now fully aware that the symbiote is real, Madaline asks for their name, being a Venom sample it doesn't have one. A.I.M. unsuccessfully tries to get the sample back over the entirety of their stay, losing the trail when Madaline comes back home to her parents farm.

A acceptance letter to her dream college awaits her in the mail there, Madaline questions if she really wants to go back to Chicago after having seen the abyss lurking under the surface of "the big city" dream she had all her life. Her parents unaware of what happen keep encouraging her to follow her dream, yet it was footage of Spider-Man and a nearby farm getting raided (by A.I.M.) that pushes her back on track. The residue of Venoms feelings for Spider-Man and her own admiration for a boy her age going to save the day every day and another family getting hurt on her behalf rising her anger towards the organization.

Juggling college and superheroing are hard at first, but she gets the hang of it and her symbiote and her grow together. Taking down A.I.M. turns out harder than expected, and she keeps getting pulled deeper and deeper into the criminal underbelly of the city, and their anger grows.

They end up dubbing themselves "Abyss" because if people are going down this path and hurting others, they will make sure that choice looks back at them again and again through them
