Black Manta, Aquaman’s archnemesis, and one of my favorite supervillains!!! To my knowledge there is NO other character in comics that looks anything like this. I think he looks fantastic, especially drawn here by Ivan Reis! I’ll be doing a full character spotlight on him at some point...

When you look at it this way, one wonders how The Avengers could EVER beat the Justice League.

So now that I’ve got a couple of things posted as a sort of soft beginning I’d like to state that this blog is set up so I can bring you character spotlights, book reviews, news about upcoming things DC is working on, recommendations, and many more things. I’ll also just simply be talking about how I feel (good and bad) about certain things throughout DC’s history. And of coarse, I’ll be more than happy to make fun of Marvel any chance I get. I got a LOT of memes and I’m not afraid to use ‘em!

The Scarecrow (Dr. Jonathan Crane) is my favorite Batman villain. I guess because of the scarecrow costume and the overall tone of stories he’s in I always associated him with Halloween, my favorite holiday. The love all things Halloween and I’ve always found that Scarecrow stories give off a kind of feel to them that transports me into a world not unlike Tim Burton’s Sleepy Hollow (my favorite horror film).

I want to start this whole thing off with the original seven members of the Justice League. (from left to right): Green Lantern Hal Jordan, The Flash (Barry Allen), Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and Martian Manhunter.
