it's been . . . how long since duncan won action ?? he stopped counting the days at this point ; all he did now was sit behind a register and read comic books all day until someone decided they wanted to pop their head into the store . all over every magazine , every news outlet , was duncan trueheart! the season two winner of total drama . cody didn't even compete that season , he hardly even wanted to go on for the aftermath show , but he couldn't help but admit that there was a twinge of sadness in not being with his season one crew .

cody flips through the pages of his comic ‒ spider-man , who would've thought !! ‒ and he barely catches the jingle that sounds when a customer walks through the glass door . he sighs and closes the comic book , adjusts his binder under his grey hoodie so it was no longer bunched up in the back , and stands up with a sigh . ❝ welcome , if you have any questions ‒ ❞ his eyes finally focus on the body in the building with him and he smiles so wide that the corners of his eyes crinkle . he quickly leans over the counter , stretching out a hand and grasping at the air for the bag of food the other man was holding . ❝ duncan !! took you long enough !! i'm starving , dude . ❞
