The Garmin Nuvi is one of the best GPS based navigation devices that provide the most reliable and efficient directions while navigating through the terrains. These devices are much advanced already but still, the maps on these devices need to be updated from time to time so that it renders the exact navigational directions to the users.

First of all what you need to do is just take off your Nuvi device from your vehicle and open your computer system, either a laptop or a desktop.
Now, connect your Garmin Nuvi device to the computer system through the USB cable provided with it.
Make sure that the Garmin device is switched on already.
It is very essential to note that the user is required to have the Garmin Express software installed on the computer system. If you don’t have one, then you will have to download the Garmin Express software from the official portal at www.garmin.com and install the Express software on it.
Now, having the Nuvi device connected to the computer system, open and launch the Garmin Express software on your computer system and select the device from the List of devices.
The Garmin Nuvi device will be shown at the top, click your device model from the list and it will show the corresponding due updates on it.
Click “Yes download and install updates” button to get the update process going
