"Mostly as a television viewer-- unless something is chasing me." He laughed at his joke (a bad habit of his, really). It was nice talking to someone from home every once in awhile. As much as he loved the company of his companion, Tanner, it was nice to mix things up every now and again. He nodded understandingly, he knew how the war changed the High Council, how it made murder and mass genocide feel so acceptable. Of course he didn't agree--genocide of any race, malicious or not, was never the right answer.

"My biggest regret," the Inquisitor said, "Was allowing it to happen. I didn't try hard enough to prevent the end" Of course that wasn't really his fault. He tried the best that he could to convince the Lord President they were taking the wrong course of action but it was a lost cause. "We could have done many things..." he had even suggested sticking all of Skaro in a traversable wormhole that would put them in another universe's timeline but admittedly even that wasn't a great idea.

"You can rest assure that I will." Ithaca replied quickly. "Of course it is. The ending is always the most important part of any book that we read. So prehaps one of these days I will get around into finishing The Great Gatsby. " As much as she would love to finish any particular book, people would always ruin it not only to her but, to others as well. That was part of the reason why she didn’t finish it. Not only was is boring but, people ruined it with the ending. Ithaca knew that one must always worked their hardest in order to achieve thier goals but, for people like them, everything was easily taken away; friends, family, campanions, and unforunately thier home. Wars had been the biggest factor in this but, it was also because of the Time Lord curse. If someone traveled with them or was by their side….well it was dangerous.  However, Ithaca had learned to push herself forward no matter how hard it was to continue on. Just like the human race, the pain would fade away with time but, the memories would always remain.  Although it was still clear in her eyes, that she was still grieving over the loss over everything and everyone that she had ever known.

Ithaca sat back in the chair and kept a steady gaze on him as he spoke again. “The Marathoner? As a televison viewer or a runner?” She couldn’t help but, to laugh over this for a moment. She had heard some strange names but, this one was….different. “Neither was I.” She said quietly. There was never a moment that went by when she didn’t think about thier home and what transpaired during the Last War. “Sometimes a war can change people either for the best or for the worse and you should not be ashamed for what you did. I wasn’t. Infact I left when I realized that what I saw in the Untempered Schism all those years ago was coming true. Yes, I have begun to regret leaving and sometimes I wonder what could of been done to save everyone without committing genocide.”

"Of course," he pulled out the few bills that were left in his wallet and placed them on the counter, "Is that enough?" He could have sworn he brought money with him when he landed but now he was beginning to doubt his memory.

"Disappearances?" He finished the drink in front of him, "When did this start?" He didn't usually bother getting involved with other people's problems but this had caught his attention.

"Ah, sorry to hear that," Joe answered. "But you’ll still have to pay for that drink… I know, rough town. Believe me I’d love to open a tab for you, but can only do that with folks who been here a few times."

He gave a small shrug. “Ah, you know, the stuff’s been all over the news. Crime rates up, disappearances… all that nonsense.”

"I was in distress-- I ran out of chips." He pointed over the the couch where a new bag of chips sat, "It's okay-- I found more?

"Should I be concerned that you sound surprised?"

         ”I’m here because you sent me a message! I know now that you’re not really in distress, you’re just watching television. Again.”

"I was going to comment on the money missing from my wallet." He kicked his feet slowly from the bar stool and furrowed his brow, "What sort of usual things do you get?"

"What is? I mean, anymore than the usual type of ‘odd’ around here?”

He groaned and closed his eyes tightly, "Sure." Part of him was a bit curious but the rest of him was thoroughly annoyed-- not at here per-say, but by the simple fact that he was not watching the movies in his Netflix list, "What is it?"

"…. Sorry about that, but I had to sing out loud for this song. It is my favorite." Dreamer looked at him with blinking her odd eyes. "…. Would like to listen?"
