It’s been months since Prism Entertainment announced that the male duo MIN2US would be debuting in a new boy group with three other members by the end of the year. Yet, fans have grown impatient over the lack of updates on Prism Entertainment’s part, and fuel has only added more to the flame over insider reports that the entertainment company might be debuting a new girl group instead.

Sources tell us that, “[a new girl group] has been in the works for a while now. It’s been nearly ten years since QUEEN debuted, so a junior girl group debuting is only natural at this point.”

Despite these claims, no information has been revealed about any female trainees under the agency that could potentially be debuting within the coming months.

PRISM ENTERTAINMENT ANNOUNCES DEBUT PLANS AFTER THE FINALE OF ‘THE NOBILITY’

It’s only been a couple of weeks since our favorite show THE NOBILITY: A PRISM SURVIVAL SHOW aired its finale episode, which achieved the highest ratings yet for the television show. Ten trainees---five male, and five female---were crowned the winners of the show, and would respectively debut in DUKE and DUCHESS by the end of the year.

DUKE and DUCHESS were announced to be the official junior groups to seniors KING and QUEEN under the same company, joining the ranks with PRINCESS in rounding out Prism Entertainment’s umbrella of artists known collectively as the MONARCHY.

During the final eighth episode of the show, MC Cho Seungwoo revealed that DUKE and DUCHESS would be debuting around the same time with the shared goal of actively collaborating with each other, unlike KING and QUEEN who only interact with one another in name. Fans can expect many collaborative stages and even sub-units between the two groups, but for now, each will focus on their respective activities to establish their names individually first before working closely with other.

When asked what the exact debut plans for the two groups are at the press conference held after the show, CEO Im Gyeongsu responded, “[We] are still finalizing everything. Fans have showed so much love in the past two months of the show’s airing, so we don’t want to rush anything. As quickly as the members want to meet their fans, we all have agreed that we want their debuts to be as perfect as possible to live up to expectations.”

Nothing has been confirmed over which group will debut first, yet many speculate that both groups will have special appearances at this year’s Mnet Asian Music Awards as Mnet was the broadcasting channel that THE NOBILITY aired on.

[BREAKING] MIN2US TO DEBUT IN NEW PRISM/GALAXY BOY GROUP

Talks of preparation for the new joint group co-managed by both Prism Entertainment and Galaxy Records have been on the quiet side these past couple of weeks (especially after that whole ‘trainee’ fiasco), but news has finally reached NETIBUZZ! on some important information regarding the boy group.

Although it’s barely been a month since MIN2US—Prism’s new duo consisting of ex-Player members Minho and Venus—has debuted, officials have shared with us that the two celebrities have been confirmed in joining the company’s next big project.

“It was in talks for a while,” sources stated. “We initially didn’t want to include the two because the fans loved them so much as MIN2US, but [they] missed being in a group so much that we wanted to take [their] thoughts into consideration. It was a lot of back and forth for a long time, but we finally decided that it’d be a good decision to have two seniors in the industry leading the other members in the team once they debut.

“There are plans to promote MIN2US in the future, but our main priority now is establishing the new boy group. Regardless, we hope both teams will receive all your love and support.”

Along with Minho and Venus, two trainees from Prism Entertainment and one trainee from Galaxy Records finalize the line-up.

POTENTIAL NEW PRISM/GALAXY BOY GROUP MEMBERS SPOTTED AT KING’S CONCERT?

A lot of rumors have been spreading around over who the MIN2US members will soon be re-debuting with, and with Prism Entertainment and its subsidiaries’ notorious secrecy over their trainees, fans can’t help but speculate.

A Knight (fan of KING) recently posted on their SNS account the above picture from a recent KING concert in Seoul, claiming that the boys photographed were actually Prism Entertainment trainees. The user noted that “they were seated altogether, all dressed in a weirdly suspicious way. I think they wanted to not draw attention to themselves, but because of how they were grouped together, you couldn’t help but notice them.”

Prism Entertainment still has yet to release any more information regarding their new boy group, slated to debut by the end of this year.
