2600 Milestone!

Last milestone I said hopefully it won’t be long before the next, and nearly six months to the day and almost 100m xp later I’m making this post. I’m so much happier with where I’m at now compared to 2500. It won’t be long now until max. The final stretch is coming up!

2500 Milestone

Final progress update for the night. I hit this while getting 94 construction, which will probably be the next 99. Hopefully it won’t be long before I see the next hundred.

13/27: Herblore

Lucky number 13! Very happy to have Herblore finally at 99. Like smithing, I used to cheapest way to level this up because I don’t like spending on skills. Many prismatic lamps got used along the way. Many.

Eventually I’ll get this to 120, but I am not looking forward to it.

Treasure Hunter got me to my first billion gp yesterday. Rainbow scythe tokens were selling for around 170m each at the time and I was super fortunate to get it finally on the 5x multiplier. Here are some other captures of funny TH rewards I got in the process.

12/27: Smithing

My first 99 of 2018! I’ve been working on this one for a loooong time but I didn’t get serious about it until a few months ago. I probably could have gotten it sooner, but I’m really cheap and used corrupted ore the whole way.

Here’s to seeing great things come out of this year and hopefully the first achievement of many to come!

Life Upd8.

I got that job I posted about two months ago (and I can’t believe I haven’t posted in that long…) and I'm having a blast. It weird actually enjoying going to work after the roughly estimated six jobs I’ve had since I’ve been of working age. I’ve worked for massive, global companies and small companies, but there’s nothing better than a small-time private workplace where you actually look your boss in the eye and he sees you as an equal to the other 6 of your coworkers. The level of respect and friendship among everyone just leads to such a good energy every day. I’ve come a pretty good way skill-wise as well. Computer assembly was never too hard to begin with, but now I can really churn those goodboys out at a pretty good rate. I’ve also gotten really good at soldering circuit boards, something I had no experience and was pretty heavy handed with when I first began. I’m going to start doing less of assembly and soldering soon to pursue other things like writing documents and code for the company, so hopefully that will go well too.

I’ve been really distracted from RS lately by a ton of other games, but I’m about 1.5m xp from another nice 99 post. I’m really excited to get it, but I’ve been playing the crap out of Assassin’s Creed Origins lately, Overwatch (per usual unfortunately), and even Pocket Camp haha. A friend has even gotten me into F2P EVE Online also? Some of my close friends have also recently graduated from college and I’ve been enjoying their company before they move away from me.

tl;dr: Got the job, life is great, and I play too many games

Interviewed early today for a small company that my friend works at to build computers and design/maintain a website because they need to expand a little. I did graphic design work for their logo a few years ago and we’re all really cool with each other already, so I’m hoping to hear back next week and potentially do a temp thing early in the morning before I go in for my current job. I’ve never done web design.... but like here we go anyway. The boss is happy to work with me on it. If I can talk him in to a decent enough wage to keep me afloat, I’ll happily go full-time. Fingers crossed.

I just technically finished my training period at the job I currently have and I feel kinda bad for potentially skipping out in a few weeks, but I’d be happier doing this kind of work until maybe I can find something to actually do with my degree. I’ve met a bunch of really fun and interesting people in the four weeks I’ve been there and I made sure to have a way to keep in contact with the ones I like.

So here’s to the future. Anyone who sees, send this small Appalachian boy some fall-time good luck vibes.
