Thanksgivingstuck meetup!

posting the info for the traditional Thanksgiving meetup in advance!

Btw the theme this year is ugly sweaters. If you don’t want to dress with the theme you don’t have to but I think it’d be cute, and also you might want to bring something just in case it gets cold.

Date: November 28th

Time: 12 pm-6:30 pm

Location:  Sunset park, just like last year.

The rules are the same as the page rules always were, regardless of whether you actually follow them, but please try to respect your surroundings in general. Please seal your paint if you have any and if you havent but are comfortable with it, I’ll bring some baby powder just in case.

It’s a potluck, so if you have food you’d like to share, please do!! That being said, if you’d rather buy food there, there is a 7/11, McDonalds, & Taco Bell in the vacinity.

we are meeting in the part of the park I circled, near a parking lot and a set of bathrooms that you will most likely be able to see us at.

Asking Anonymously

Nevadastuck has made the executive decision to take away the ability to send messages anonymously. Some of the recent messages we have received are topics and concerns are items that frankly do not need to be made public. This is not a place to perpetuate negative behaviors towards individuals and create problems within the Homestuck community. Just to address a few:

1) The admins do have lives outside of this Tumblr blog. We check it as often as we can, but it is a shared space. If there is a time sensitive question you have, please direct it to our Facebook page (CLICK), as we receive mobile alerts.  

2) If you are unable to read our character typing quirks, feel free to reach out. Nevadastuck has fun embracing our favorite Homestuck characters and presenting our information in canon quirk. Although, we will gladly send you the information quirk-free on an individual basis.

3) We understand that the Homestuck fandom is passionate and bizarre. We strictly enforce our rules at all our events to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all. That being said, we cannot control how individuals act outside our jurisdiction. It is the convention’s responsibility, not Nevadastuck’s, to enforce their rules and put an stop to any actions that are unfit. Halloween at Opportunity Village:  Homestuck Takeover

THIS EVENT IS NOT HOSTED OR ENDORSED BY OPPORTUNITY VILLAGE OR ITS ASSOCIATES. THIS EVENT COSTS MONEY TO ATTEND, AND THE PROCEEDS WILL BE GOING TO THE OPPORTUNITY VILLAGE CHARITY. 🎃 🎃 🎃 🎃 🎃 🎃 Alright. Who here is excited for Halloween this year? I am for sure, and I thought it would be a good idea to have a Homestuck meetup over at Opportunity Village during their “HallOVeen” event. This will be on October 24th at the Opportunity Village Magical Forest located on Oakey and Torrey Pines. The park opens at 5:30pm, and we will more than likely stay until it closes at 10. Since this is a Homestuck meetup, you are more than welcome to cosplay as your favorite character. Heck, you can even go as a Homestuck character wearing a costume if you want. I personally am going as Vampire!Dave, complete with fangs. If not, you can just wear a regular costume, or even just go as yourself and wear regular clothes. The choice is yours!! Gray paint and horns ARE allowed. However, you NEED TO SEAL YOUR PAINT. I can’t stress enough about how important this is. This event is open to the public, and whatever paint you get on stuff will make a mess, and we will most likely get yelled at. So yes, you can go all out and wear as much paint as you want, but just be careful and seal that stuff like your life depended on it. ATTENDING THIS EVENT COSTS MONEY, and let me tell you why. Opportunity Village is a local charity that helps people with mental disabilities. They supply jobs, medical care, supplies, and homes for people that can’t because of their condition. So not only are you paying to have fun, but you’re also donating to a good cause. The prices for the event changes every year, and they haven’t posted anything yet. I will let you all know when they announce the prices, but I’m telling you first hand that its cheap to get in. This is not a potluck, so please don’t bring any food unless if its for yourself; like a lunchbox or something. They have food there, but again, it costs money. For those of you who are Vegan or Vegetarian (i.e myself), they have options there, but its limited. Just a warning. If you can’t attend this event for any reason such as financial problems, transportation, scheduling conflicts, then nevadastuckblog is currently in the process of planning a FREE meetup, most likely around the 17th of October. Details of that will be given in due time. Hope you guys can make it!!

Greetings Nevadastuck, To begin, I would like to thank everyone who showed up, and attempted to show up, to our first gathering. As some of you may know, due to inclement weather (specifically a sandstorm) we had to relocate indoors and eventually cancel. We apologize deeply, since I did not anticipate the weather to be nearly as horrendous as predicted. Despite this, we still managed to have some laughs and some good times.
