“Just because I left doesn’t mean that you aren’t worth something,” it wasn’t really an answer to the question. Dylan wasn’t a liar in terms of how she saw things or felt them. She hadn’t left for any specific reason, sometimes she just felt like her time was up and had to find somewhere new to be. “You are worth something. You are beautiful and interesting and so fucking hot, Nev. That’s why I want to get a drink with you. We’re both here and I just feel like we should make the most of it.” Dylan was selfish in that way, she would think she was being kind when she was actually making things worse.
“I am worth something. I don’t need anyone to tell me that.” Although Nevaeh came across as someone with a wallflower type personality, she did love herself. She wanted the best for herself. She had learned to think highly of herself. The dark-haired femme looked at the other, narrowing her eyes on Dylan as compliments came her way, but decided to take them with a pinch of salt. “Fine. Whatever. I’ll go drinking with you.” Nev answered. “But you can buy my drink. It’s the least you can do.”

She hesitated although not because she had nothing to say. Dylan could make something out of nothing, talk for hours if invited to do so. “Right, so you’re super pissed with me,” she ran her tongue over her bottom lip as she stood there. She probably should have felt ashamed of herself or at least regretful but in all honesty, she’d do it all again. As if she was thinking about something deep to say, the cogs in her brain working, she took a long pause and let out a small sigh. “Just wondering, you know, for science,” she paused, “Is this whole mad thing going to last til like the end of the day or the week or be more like a life long grudge thing? Just so I know when we can get a drink.”
"I am pissed at you.” Nevaeh answered, deciding to be honest with the brunette. “I’m more pissed that I wasn’t worth a minute of your time to simply reach out. I didn’t expect you to come back. I just wanted to know you were okay.” That’s what had Nevaeh worried. The not knowing if Dylan was alive, or if something had happened to her. Nevaeh didn’t care about people she liked, and having something and nothing was hard for her to deal with at the time. “Why do you want to get a drink with me? You could get a drink with anyone around here. Your options are limitless.”

She didn’t take it personally. It was hard for her to take anything personally because she always had invisible walls up, even when she was open, she was shut down. “You didn’t have to worry about me. See, I’m fine,” she breezed as if it would suddenly change the direction of the conversation. She didn’t apologise, it was one of her fatal flaws along with stubbornness. “Come on, it’s been fucking forever. You can’t still be upset with me. We should go out, get a drink, laugh about the old times.”
“I see that your fine now. It would have been nice to know that when I was worried sick about you. You could have give me one second of your time and sent a text.” Nevaeh held grudges with others. If she felt like someone had wronged her in the past, so held it against them. Nevaeh didn’t expect Dylan to apologise. She knew the other well enough to know that wasn’t something she did. “Don’t tell me how I should feel towards you. You don’t get to walk back into my life and decide where you fit back into it. Go and get drinks with someone else.”

blue eyed the drink suspiciously for only a moment before deciding she didn’t care. she was bored. “yeah, i’ll take it.” her fingers wrapped around the glass, bringing it to her lips quickly. “honestly, even if you had it would be more entertaining than the rest of this evening, you know?”
Nevaeh looked at the other and nodded her head. “I heard that a little bit of drama went down. I think the blonde chick and one of the birthday boys had a little bit of drama with one another earlier,” the dark-haired girl began. “I think his cake got ruined and then he was sick on her? I didn’t get the full details. I was here and still missed out on all the fucking fun,” she scoffed.

She looked at Nevaeh and ignored the stuttering. Dylan wasn’t cold hearted but she often found herself lacking in the empathy department. She left people suddenly and without reason, the dark pit in her unquenchable it seemed. “Going to school, what are you doing here?” she asks with a tinge of entertainment presuming she knew the answer was the same. “Are you going to stand there or give me a nice to see you hug, Nev?” It was as if nothing had even happened for her.
Nevaeh was surprised to see Dylan again. It had been a long time since she had last seen the other femme and she didn’t know how to react. Dylan had actually been her first crush way back when she was figuring out who she was. “Figuring myself out. Figuring out which direction I want my life going in,” she answered, eyes not leaving Dylan’s face. “You don’t deserve a hug. You probably won’t be here long. You have a thing about just leaving people behind.” She muttered. “No text. No calls. You just went without a word. Do you know how much I worried about you?” She asked, crossing her arms over her chest.

After her morning run, a series of events that she repeated each day to get her prepared for whatever came next, it seemed inevitable she’d bump into one of her classmates. Running up the stairs to the floor they were staying on, she tugged her headphones off. The person in front of her familiar although it takes her a few seconds to allow her brain to catch up with what was going on. No awkwardness or remorse on her end, “Oh, Nev,” her gaze trailed, “Looking good. Long time no see.”
Nevaeh’s heart dropped as soon as she heard a voice that she recognized from her past. The brunette turned around to look at Dylan and felt her heart sink as the voice from the other matched the face she was expecting to see. “ Oh my god ,” she said, feeling sick and nauseous all of a sudden. “W-what are you doing here?”

if there’s one thing auggie was it was confident. so he winked in her direction about to respond when she spoke again. “ well now i think you’re just trying to hurt my feelings. ” he pouted playfully. arms crossing as he shot her a look. “ what are you into her or something ? or are you always this complimentary ? ”
“ I’m not into her, she’s gorgeous but no,”. Delilah looked like how Nev wished she did. She wasn’t necessarily jealous of the blonde , she simply envied how attractive she was, but not in a negatively way. She had told the blonde-haired femme that she found her good looking before. “ I think I’m just overly nice? Is that a bad thing?”

that was the thing with the rules of this party. they are required to kiss either one of the birthday boys. required. so, pretty much, if you didn’t want to do that (although she was sure they wouldn’t be checking), this wasn’t the party for you… that’s insane. olivia simply nodded her head. they were currently at the party and the other had no date — she wasn’t going to push it any further, simply because she didn’t know what to say. “ did you get anything for valentine’s day? ”
Nevaeh liked the idea of celebrating valentine’s day with friends and other students but thought the rules were whack. Some people who did like each other a lot couldn’t even go together because of the whole one person, one date rule. “ I didn’t do anything for it, i’m not seeing anyone, or don’t have the hots for anyone right now,” Nevaeh answered the blonde as a small laugh escaped through her parted lips. “Why did you? Did anyone get you something nice?”

“ that’s true. ” olivia doubted there were people literally searching the party for those who were either out of dress code, without a date, or didn’t give their mandatory kiss. she thought it was kiss or hug but she was learning that it was just a kiss. “ ah, i understand. ” seeing as a date was required to get in, olivia could say that she was lucky enough that she didn’t have to ask. “ i’m sure nobody would say no to you! ” and she wasn’t aware of just how many people were seeing someone in the program. " the fact that dates are required is a little ridiculous. “
Nevaeh hadn’t bothered with the mandatory kiss. She wasn’t interested in kissing any of the guys being celebrated, and wasn’t going to kiss another guy for the sake of it. The only time she had kissed a guy was during New Years Eve and that was only because it was a dare. “Maybe not, but I was too nervous to ask anyone,” she confessed. “I’m confident, but not enough to have my ego knocked down,”.

with a new drink in hand, manon spotted a face she hadn’t seen in a hot minute and immediately wanted to fix that. “bonjour, i am. are you?” the night had been quite tame for manon overall. she was pretty pleased with that considering how wild things could have been. “have you had one of the specialty birthday cocktails? i wasn’t sure if i’d like it but it’s grown on me.”
nevaeh smiled at manon, knowing it had been a while since the two of them last spoke to one another. “ it’s been okay, yeah ... i love music and drinking , the whole bring a date thing , or kiss one of them people being celebrated was a little uncomfortable , but thankfully i haven’t had to do either at the moment , so that’s always a positive,” she chuckled. “ what flavour is it ? i don’t think i have , i’ve been boring and on lemonade so far..”

“Well it’s a good thing you’re pretty.” Lu didn’t love the fact she showed up stag to a Valentine’s day birthday party, but Nevaeh was certainly making it more bearable. Dancing was much better than drinking alone and the compliments were a pleasant bonus. “How did you know stroking my ego was the way to my heart? I didn’t peg you to be such a flirt. ” Swaying her hips to the beat of the music, she pulls her roommate closer. “You should see me without any outfit on. Then you’d really be impressed.” Her brows raise up suggestively to Nev, matching her energy. “Never say never. I would pay good money to see it.”
“I only flirt with the hot girls, ” nevaeh answered as a smirk spread across her lips. nevaeh didn’t flirt with every girl she came into contact with , and only flirted with some of the girls if she knew the other weren’t going to get upset with her about it. nevaeh continued to dance to the music raising her eyebrows suggestively. “ don’t tease me Lu , we’re sharing a room remember,” she teased back, continuing to move in time to the music. “ don’t make me become a simp for you or whatever,”.

“ i mean, i doubt they’re keeping track of who’s going with who. ” olivia shook her head, a smile on her face. “ and if they haven’t thrown you out yet, they’re probably not going to, so congratulations. ” she let out a small laugh. this was probably something she would’ve done had she said no — throw on her clothes and tell people that her date was coming later when, in reality, it was just her. “ but i’m shocked. you being too shy to ask any of the girls? who’d say no to you? ” she let out a laugh.
“ i was hoping they were cool with it , I think everyone seems to occupied to actually care, ” she giggled. Nevaeh liked listening to music and having a dance so this event was totally up her alley, besides the bringing a date part. She was a little shy sometimes, afraid of rejection. “ i don’t know , a lot of the girls are seeing someone and i don’t want to assume they’d go with me,” she shrugged. “i’d want to be confident someone would say yes because they like me , and not out of pity,”.

“You don’t sound like a bitch. Whiny though? A little.” She smiles to she she meant the comment in jest. Certainly not as drunk as her roommate, Lu still had a drink or two in her system and was feeling more sociable than usual. She was more of a lightweight than she would ever admit so she liked to go slow and steady. “It’s a dumb rule and Valentine’s day is overrated anyway. You don’t need a date.” The two weren’t exactly friends but Lu knew it was important to have a good rapport with Nevaeh as they shared a space together. “I’m choosing to believe you mean that because I look amazing in red. You look good too.” She couldn’t deny how charmed she was by the earnestness. Lu’s quick to grab the other’s hand. "Let’s go before you start begging on your knees.”
“I mean I can’t change some traits about me ,” she answers the dark-haired femme back, lips curling into a small smirk as the words escaped her mouth. Nevaeh liked the idea of turning up with someone, but dating wasn’t something she was looking for. She simply liked the idea of being close enough to someone to ask them to go with her. “What wouldn’t you look good in? I seem you suiting a range of colours,” Nev answered, feeling the other take her hand. Nevaeh pulled the two of them towards where the dance floor was and giggled. “I wouldn’t beg for no-one,” she confirmed, smirk spreading across her lips. “Not my style at all.”

olivia let out a small laugh. “ that’s good. ” she nodded her head. “ the hotel is minutes away from my house if you take a car, so i’ve been going back and forth between the hotel and home, just to see my family for a little while. ” she moved a strand of hair from her face. “ i think the whole program knows who my date is by now, unless they’ve been living under a rock. who’d you come with? ”
“ i hear rumours about everyone one all the time, sometimes they are true, and sometimes they are far off, ” she chuckled. she went a little shy as the blonde asked who she had turned up with . “ no-one , ” she answered. “ i was too shy to ask any of the girls, and wasn’t interesting in any of the guys, ”. Nevaeh would have came with Lawson if Beau hadn’t go there first. He was her best friend. “ I haven’t been thrown out so far, so far i’m doing so good,”.

word got around quickly once the party was announced. olivia was in a state of shock when she received that text from him because they had only talked at the birthday party of bodhi when he messaged her. “ it’s been good. everything has been great. ” she nodded her head, holding her hands up. “ you can call off the rescue party — he’s behaved himself and i am still alive. ” she joked, letting out a small laugh. “ it has, hasn’t it? how have you been? ”
“ that’s good , i’m glad things have been to crazy for you, ” she chuckled. Nevaeh didn’t really talk shit about people who she didn’t know , she had simply heard rumours about the whole ordeal that went down between the texts shared between the two of them. “ i’ve been good,” she answered back, smiling at the femme opposite her. “ been travelling around london , it’s nice being in a country where I don’t have to learn the language,” she giggled.

Nevaeh didn’t know what was wrong with her one minute she was having a good time and listening to the music, and the next minute she was watching all these couples and friends hang out and felt a little lonely. It wasn’t as if Nevaeh didn’t have friends at interchange, but she felt like a little bit of an outsider. Her eyes welled up as she got a little emotional about it all, before quickly rubbing her eyes as she saw someone approaching. “Enjoying your night so far?” She asked, trying to make casual conversation with someone so she wasn’t sitting alone all night.

Nevaeh walked over towards Bluebell was beverage’s in her hand. “Hey! ,” she called out to the femme near her. “Do you fancy another drink? I got given two and I’m a lightweight, so it might be easier for me to pass one on,” she giggled. The brunette sipped on the red wine that she had been given and held out the other. “I promise I haven’t spiked it or anything,”.
