                     HE  DOESN’T  MISS  THE  WAY  she  has  to  force  a  smile  on  her  features  ,  as  is  the  way  her  relief  isn’t  as  genuine.  nonetheless  ,  elowyn  seems  to  keep  her  emotions  pretty  in  check  by  their  revelation  and  ty  inhales  deeply.  ‘’  you  know  how  i  am  ,  with  …  ’’  he  waves  vaguely  ,  but  is  honestly  trying  to  buy  time  to  strengthen  his  lie  ,  ‘’  …  updating  people  on  my  life.  my  love  life  specifically.  what  if  it  fails  ?  then  i  would  have  to  tell  everyone  ,  again  …  ’’  somewhat  unsatisfied  with  the  outcome  of  the  conversation  ,  they  turn  their  face  away  and  look  down.  ‘’  do  you  love  someone  ,  elowyn  ?  ’’

          “ sure, sure, yeah it is very difficult to keep people informed of what’s going on in your life. ”  it was pretty hypocritical of her, truly, given how locked up she was with her life, her emotions and basically her everything. brow raised in slight confusion at his question, unsure why he’d ask her anything like that.  “ no. ”  she said, a little too quickly, too easy to not have to think about it.  “ no, i don’t love anyone... that kind of thing is just not for me.”  and quick to try and change the topic of conversation away from her.  “ so are you going to to me about who you’re seeing? ”

      ❝ oh. huh. i suppose you’re right. sure….. alright, but if it ends up with the house on fire then you’re going to have to pay for everything out of your own pocket. ❞ it’s a warning - not a real one, since he doesn’t think hana is capable still. ❝ i… oops, i didn’t mean to do that. maybe tone down the imagination then, hmm? ❞ he jests, pressing a quick kiss to her cheek before pulling away to fix himself a snack. ❝ sounds perfect. is there anything else i should be aware of for my dinner? ❞  

          “ that only seems fair, i can’t really argue with that. ”  laugh escaped from her lips, knowing she was far from capable of that... at least not on purpose.  “ i’ll try and do that then, i’m sure turning down the imagination is easier than people realise. ”  lips twisted slightly in thought, leaning against the counter with her hand in her chin.  “ uhm... if you could not be so charming during the dinner, that would be great. a little less chance of her falling in love with you. ”

she came to a sudden stop, taking a step back. the middle of the street wasn't exactly the place she wanted to do this, no, but it seemed as good a place as any. besides, she didn't think she was getting him into the nearest coffee shop any time soon. daisy swallowed, the words hard to force from her mouth. " i'm pregnant. " short and sweet. fingers danced together, nerves threatening to eat her from the inside out.

as much as it had angered freddie that she broke up with him, he couldn't disagree that she was better off. nevertheless, he wouldn't make it easy for her to talk to him with his wounded pride. gritting his teeth, he came to a halt and whirled around to face her. " what? what's so fucking important that you had to actually come talk to me? "
