Ripped (ript) adj.- a slang adjective used to describe human musculature that is well-defined, particularly the abdominal muscles. The adjective may derive from the sense that weight-lifting tears the muscle tissue for re-building, or from the rippled appearance of muscle.

So I'm OBESE???
Paleo Challenge number 3 starts next week!
Of course I started again on Monday to get a head start on healthy eating.
We're making it legit this time and we are all getting our stats calculated by this Bod Pod thing at the Sports Facilities Complex near here. Basically it's human sized capsule that you sit in and it tells you exactly how much of you is fat. No points involved. Whoever loses the most fat in 4 weeks wins.
And my results?
33.9% of me is FAT. Ok no problem. I didn't think anything of it. I have a big ass. My new hubby calls me Kim K. So it's probably above average fat wise.
When I got back to the office, some sites are saying that if you are over 33% in body fat then you are OBESE.
Are you kidding me? Take a look at my pics, I wouldn't call me OBESE.
I mean I feel 10 lbs over my ideal weight but I fit into a size 4 or 6 jean.
But these are medical related sitesand not Vogue magazine saying I'm fat. It's the medical community.
Maybe I just don't see it. I have been off paleo for months (although eating good 80% of the time) and I did gain WEIGHT (and muscle) so maybe I did just gain more fat.
Well in 4 weeks and 8 weeks time I'll let you know how my results shake out.

Hate my body on Paleo and Cfit
I love Crossfit. I love that I can do pullups now and I am stronger and I love everyone at my box. They are the best people.
What I don't love is that I no longer fit into any of my jeans. I only have 2 or 3 pair left that I can still wiggle into. My loose jeans are now tight.
Before you tell me that's great and I am beastly now, wait....I did gain muscle. I drink protein after every workout, I am eating paleo, I am building muscle.
But I am ALSO still fat! I don't think my body will ever go into it's Ketosis state where my fat ass will just magically melt off. We're almost 3 weeks into our new paleo challenge. I'm doing well. I had a cheat day on my bday where I had polenta, beans, and cake (the only non paleo foods I indulged in that day). So I didn't break the bank.
I don't think my body responds to paleo. I think I look the same in my abs and my ass has gotten bigger. Yes there is muscle but my ass is still jiggly fat.
What do I do? I threw away my scale. I have no idea how much I weigh. I just know my coach tells me I should still be able to fit into my jeans and I should be losing fat. I SHOULD. but i'm not.
Argh so frustrating. Can anyone share with me their progress pics? (Women only, I know men can put on muscle lose fat easily) or their stories? I have been doing crossfit for a year now and eating paleo off and on during the year.
I'm trying to break the cycle of bad body image and thinking but it's hard. I feel stronger but I still look the same. Shrug. Maybe i'm just having a bad day.
