It's so easy to #kisskissfallinlove with this series 💋💋😍!!!  Where to even begin? It was the first shojo I'd ever seen that took all of the typical tropes and turned them upside down on their heads.  The manga is so beautiful... and it’s complete! I wish they would finally give us a season 2 and finish this heart-wrenching and heart-warming story!  In the meantime, we hope you enjoy our cover of Sakura Kiss! Happy Birthday to our lead singer @regemmzz !!! We all wish we could return to simpler times... maybe that's why everything nowadays seems to be a remake.

The studios can do whatever they want to our favortie characters. Turn them to live action, change the way they look (most specifically making them shinier for some reason?) It's okay though, because in our minds, nothing beats a classic.

Lots of you have been asking if any of us in the band actually SPEAK Japanese. Excellent question!

Our lead singer @regemmzz studied Japanese for several years and lived in Tokyo for 5 months where at the peak of her studies she became conversational/intermediate. Whenever we do a cover, we work hard to make sure we have a strong understanding of the lyrics, both the pronunciation of the Japanese and the meaning behind the words.

Here is a little sneak peak of our process for when break down the lyrics for a new song! The Kanji, Romaji, and English are all very important to our process!

Mob Pyscho 100 is a relatively new anime, but its fanbase has grown like Mob's powers. The manga and anime deals with dark themes of immortality, sinfulness, and the fear of unlimited power in the wrong hands. Underneath all that though are the themes of adolescence and an in depth study of the desperate desire us humans have to fit in... As those of us in the band navigate through our twenties, it felt like a natural selection for our next cover.

One of ours is The Hare Hare Yukai from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya... but recently we’ve been loving the Chika op!!!

Wahh! Otaku Ongaku is 1 year old! We don't know exactly when we first started making anime covers together, but we know it all started last summer.

Since starting, we've had over 90K streams on Spotify, recorded three singles, and have performed at Anime NYC!

Here is to the future! May our drills pierce the heavens!

We’ve been re-reading the Inuyasha manga! It really reminds us of why we fell in love with anime and manga in the first place. Excellent storytelling, beautifully displayed.
