Are you seriously asking us to install separate Chrome extensions for every feature? That's completely ridiculous? Extensions bloat Chrome. I keep them to a minimum. And now features outright don't work on xkit and I'm prompted to install individual extensions for them?? Is this seriously the case? Why can't features be toggleable in one extension?
Only Old Blue and Outbox have been moved to their own addons, and they have been moved because:
Palettes for Tumblr was designed from the start to allow custom palette creation, which it needs its own options page for managing.
Outbox for Tumblr does an extremely specific job and can best do this via a WebExtension API which XKit otherwise doesn't use (as well as also needing its own options page for displaying/managing saved items).
Integrating these two back into XKit without losing any features would be incredibly difficult and would only reduce "bloat" in your browser toolbar.
I guess Filtering+ for Tumblr also deserves an honourable mention, but it doesn't do anything that XKit ever allowed you to do; it adds right-click controls for Tumblr's own filtering system, which also uses a WebExtension API which XKit has absolutely no use for otherwise.

Not sure where best to ask this, but should I deinstall New XKit and only use XKit Rewritten? Or do they need to be used together in order to work?
You can use any combination of the two that fits you. XKit Rewritten is a completely separate extension which does not make any features in New XKit magically work again, nor does it rely on New XKit to work itself. The two do not conflict, either.
If you have reasons to keep New XKit installed, keep it installed. Tumblr isn't done updating the web experience, so features that only run on legacy-powered pages like Mass+ and Go-to-Dash remain exclusive to New XKit for now.

So— when i try to cut post it continues to post another post with the one i wanna reply to. How do I get that to stop???
Use Trim Reblogs in XKit Rewritten instead. As I understand it, Editable Reblogs failing to cut posts primarily (if not exclusively) happens on NPF posts anyway.

Hi! There used to be a feature I thought was from xkit where you could see the tags on posts people reblogged from you right on the activity page. Is that entirely gone now since the activity page update? I checked through my xkit extension quickly but couldn't find anything.
This was “Retags”, and yes, it hasn’t been updated for the new dashboard.
However, Tumblr plans to support tags on notifications itself - the API already returns them, so it’s just a matter of Tumblr building a display for them now.

Hi! I have no idea if this is an issue that xkit can fix but I can't seem to hide my main icon on my side blogs. I have "show author's portrait" off but it's not working. My main blog's icon shows up no matter what. I'm sorry if this isn't something that's related but google wasn't helping. Thanks either way!
Tumblr will always show group blogs’ author portraits to group members regardless of this setting. If this setting is off, other users won’t see your author portraits, but you will.

Hi! Do you plan on adding a toggle (or something) to return Titles back to posts? Right now Titles on posts that are reblogged via editable reblog she one part of the post rather than staying a Title. It’s a huge bummer and super annoying. Thanks!
Post titles, going forward, are not meaningfully separate from post content. This isn’t something we can do anything about - it’s how Tumblr’s new post format works.

Ever since TumblrSavior stopped working with the new dashboard, I currently use Blacklist to block posts on my dash while still keeping the post (so I can see what it was blocked for). This lets me view the post if I want, or leave it blocked (eg. useful for spoilers, depending on who is reblogging them). It seems like you don't intend to support Blacklist in the future? I'm wondering why. Tumblr block completely blocks the keyword everywhere, so you can't know the post exists - very different.
Tumblr’s post content filtering doesn’t completely hide posts - it puts them behind a “This post has filtered content” screen with the filtered word/phrase and a “View post” button, just like tag filtering puts posts behind a “This post has filtered tags” screen.
The only time Tumblr will entirely hide posts from you is if you have a post’s author blocked.

Psst. Add these lines to your Adblock/ublock filter to get rid of that bloodied-up man video at the top of your dashboard:

I've noticed that my in-dash notifications are gone, so I never find out if people are engaging with my posts at all. Was that an xkit thing, or a tumblr thing? I could reply to posts directly by clicking a little reply button on the notification in the scroll, and I feel like that was definitely xkit. Is all that gone now, or has my tumblr just gotten messed up?
In-dash notifications (notes between posts, and live pop-up notes) were a Tumblr feature. The reply button on them that created a new post was an XKit feature, One-Click Reply, which hasn’t been updated for the new dashboard yet. However, the actual activity page currently hasn’t received a facelift, so One-Click Reply will still work there.

i was just wondering, does the tag replacer work without causing blogs to be flagged as spam now, or is that still an issue?
Tag Replacer currently doesn’t work at all - it hasn’t been updated for the new dashboard yet. But when it comes back, we have to assume the risk is still there.

https://imgur.com/a/I6hTj3F here’s the tag view
Huh! I’ve never seen a tagged page like that. Here’s what https://www.tumblr.com/tagged/pokemon looks like for me:
Tumblr media
I genuinely don’t know what to ask here to help figure out why your tagged pages look so different. Maybe you’ve been opted into a feature test? You may want to ask Tumblr support about this; feel free to link to this post or send my screenshot for comparison if you do!

so /tagged/whatever has gotten the utterly unreadable mosaic layout, is there a way to get it to display the posts in full, in reverse chronolgical order, as a list, as it has been previously?
On tagged pages, you can switch between grid and list view with these buttons, underneath the Follow/Unfollow button:

Do you know why this view no longer works? tumblr(.)com/dashboard/blog/blogname/postnumber
It’s been changed to tumblr.com/blog/view/blogname/postID.

Note
for some reason i can no longer see people's urls if it's a thread. they posts/responses are divided by thin grey lines and don't show any urls even the OPs
This is a default “feature” of Tumblr Savior. If you have a GitHub account, or are willing to create one, you may want to tell its creator that you found this confusing here.

Using "/page/(Number)" on the Likes page doesn't seem to work anymore. Is there anyway still to access really old likes with XKit?
No. This is something Tumblr would have to build.
