Hello boys and girls
It's 3.09 Singapore time and I look like an idiot now blogging away. I'm too excited to sleep (besides, my hair is wet). So I thought, why not start a blog on my investment journey?
The truth is I started a couple of months ago. But really, nothing to ride home about. I don't think I knew what I was doing. Here's a brief report on my past trades.
Tumblr media
I funded a total of $8994 to this account. So I'm currently at a loss of about 13%. OUCH.
I blame UP Fintech for this... AND my stupidity for trading a company that was (is) under a crackdown by the Chinese government. I don't know where the light at the end of the tunnel is for this one... but I guess I will be holding to the whopping 324 shares... DUH. And sell calls. More on that later.
Now on to Palantir. Now, I TRIED to understand this company. But to be frank, it's still a mystical creature to me. Well, I guess that has to be if what I heard about them is true. Apparently, these guys are into some crazy spying intelligence business, and the US government is one of their clients. Ooohh... spicy. Well, I sort of regret on this one too... because I found out more about their fundamentals and they're not that stellar currently. Ok ROI for PLTR...
So far I've made $125 from selling 1 PUT and 1 CALL PLTR option. My total investment PLTR is $2200. So that puts my ROI so far to be 5.7%... AND this is totally not the right way to calculate ROI. Considering that I did this in 2 months, maybe we can consider the ROI to be 34%? And that's crazy ROI. The share price has dipped from 22 to 20.9, but I'm not concerned as this looks to be a sideways market to me.
Okay and it's probably bed time now (3.30), but let me just talk about my weekend... because I had so many big brain moments. Those OMI folks... I mean, aggressive marketing aside, these people know their stuff. I learnt so much more from them than the VI folks... but truth to be told, maybe I wouldn't have understood OMI so much without learning from the VI first.
More about these 2 prominent investing education programmes next time. Ta ta!
