8K posts
Was once a blog dedicated to ranting about random shit or raving about my fandoms. Now it's mostly about the 1930s-grade resurgence of antisemitism. If you're here because of Danny Phantom or Ben 10 content, you should still find them with their tags or "lightposting". As for me, I'm a 30 year old(b.'94) Israeli studying env-eng abroad, with a passion for writing and giving my opinions on anything and everything.

Between "Jews are white oppressors so it's impossible to commit systemic violence against them, only individualized violence" and "by any means necessary" and "when people in the Middle East say 'Jews' they really mean 'Israelis', it's a cultural thing" and "Palestinians don't owe anyone the distinction between Zionists and Jews" and "intersectionality means this is everyone's fight", you get a narrative where it's okay for anyone to hurt any Jew in any way they'd like.

I'm sorry to keep harping on this but I was just talking to my wife and like.
She pointed out that there is something DEEPLY ironic about the "Zios are colonizers!" shit that is thrown around when like.
'Antizionists' are coming into Jewish spaces and going to Jews and demanding that we perform our culture, our language, the way they want us to. They come to us demanding purity. They come to us demanding that we be Jews in the way that they think Jews should be, and when we do not do that, they tell us that we are wrong.
When Jews are Zionists. And we say what that means to us. And we explain our culture, our history, our connection. 'Antizionists' tell us "No, you are wrong. No, I know your culture and your people and your history better- no, that is not your history. Your history is what I say it is, not what you say it is. Your words mean what I say they mean, not what you say they mean. You will be a Jew the way I say you should, or you should die."
Telling a people, an ethnic group, a tribe. That you know them better than they do, and not only that! YOU get to dictate their language, history, personal feelings, how they talk about themselves, what words they use, how they are allowed to present themselves...
That is some actual colonizer shit if I've ever heard it.

My hot take is that telling Jews they don't have a right to live somewhere because they are Jews is anti-semitic.
Crazy concept, I know

Honestly we need to start talking about Hamas(et al) tactics in the terms of an abusive relationship more often
Psychological warfare? Check.
Boundary pushing until what's inconceivable and intolerable to any other person/country is just our flavor of normal? Check.
Trauma exploitation to get a reaction they can weaponize? Check.
Geopolitical DARVO? Check.
Gaslighting with lies so absurd yet persistent that it's become clear the goal isn't to prove THEIR narrative, but make everyone else question ours, until peer/international pressure decrees we can no longer trust our own perception? CHECK.
Holding dead bodies hostage should count as a war crime.
It isn't common knowledge: Judaism calls for burial within 24 hours, otherwise as soon as possible. To allow a soul to pass, the dead must be buried specifically (From dust to dust). Until then, the dead is disgraced- which is why one of the worst, cruelest punishments given in the Tanakh was an improper burial.
Jews treat proper burial not only as a cultural custom, but also as a religious obligation! Even criminals, sinners and those who were executed, must be buried respectfully (And yes, that does mean Israel buries terrorist bodies too, making sure to carefully document and keep track of them in case they're recalled).
It is both forbidden to house the dead ("Thou shalt in any wise bury him that day" (Deuteronomy 21:23), and demanded that they be buried as soon as possible, as determined by Maimonides in his interpretation of Sanhedrin law (The council of judges appointed by god to advise Moses, for those who are unfamiliar).
For many years now terrorist organizations have been abducting dead bodies to trade for prisoners or whatever else they want. Note, they've been abducting the ALREADY DEAD corpses to stash out of Israel's reach, paying them much disrespect as a way to both taunt and pressure Jews. Even now... Many civilian corpses are still in Hamas hands.
It's been MONTHS. Months of families wondering if their loved ones could be alive, wishing they could at least bury them otherwise. Months of Hamas rejoicing in their ability to deny Jews what we consider basic respect. It's especially cruel knowing the context, knowing Hamas is doing it specifically because they hate Jews, spitting in our faces.
It's a hate crime, one often overlooked and excused by Goyim. It shouldn't be smoothed over, or minimized in face of the "bigger picture".
Taking hostages in itself is a Grave breach of the Geneva Conventions and a war crime, as is rape. Lesser known is the fact that the Geneva Conventions also demand a honorable burial: "Parties to the conflict shall ensure that the dead are honorably interred, if possible according to the rites of the religion to which they belonged, that their graves are respected" (article 17, article 130)
It is already a violation, and should be considered a war crime.

Being concerned about Donald Trump twisting a legitimate executive order illegally and for his own benefit is very reasonable.
But if you catch yourself thinking:
I don’t want Trump to enforce the legal rights of Jewish students because it might lead to leftist backlash…
You’ve gotta stop yourself:
You cannot ask other Jews (especially, in this case, children and young adults) to settle for fewer rights because you are afraid of backlash.
We’ve been over this. We’ve all heard the sad stories of pre-WWII antizionist Jews convinced the Zionists were going to get them all killed by speaking up. But we know that the Zionists did not secretly cause the Holocaust. The antisemites did.
Jews asserting their rights does not cause antisemitism. Antisemites cause antisemitism.
Please, fight the problem at its source.

The rhetoric that it's all just zionist psyops being antisemitic to give antizionists a bad name is odd. Like you're just telling on yourselves. You just snitched on yourself! You are telling the world that it is easy for a psyop to infiltrate your group and then start to spread their extremist ideas.
You've going "yeah we've been infiltrated by psyops before but we prommy no other psyops have infiltrated us"

"Aljamal told the hostages that “Hamas was going to ensure that the United States, as well as Jews and Israelis, are hated everywhere and that Hamas in Gaza was coordinating with its allies, including its allies in the media and on college campuses, to foment hatred against Israel and Jews,” the complaint said."
Literally every conspiracy theory I've seen surrounding (((zionists))) trying to control the narrative surrounding Israel and Palestine is exactly what hamas and its allies are trying to do. It's laughable at this point. It's like they're children who farted and tried to blame it on someone else by going "whoever smelt it dealt it"

The act of promising to send back a person's corpse and then switching it out with an unidentified person as an act of psychological torture is something I've only seen from my worst cases as a forensic scientist.
I've seen it from organized crime outfits, typically Russian mob and cartels, and from serial killers. This reminds me more of the latter rather than the former as the outfits tend to behave in a certain manner and abide by various rules. Serial killers, however, often delight in the psychological torture of their victims, victims' family, and community.
There's a number of cases I've been brought in on to help ID corpses that were not who the killer said they were. Causing pain and anguish for the families and community to their delight.
In this instance, making a big show of returning these hostages and then pulling the rug out from underneath Israel and the greater Jewish community only serves one purpose; to cause psychological and emotional harm. And make no mistake, the people justifying Hamas and their actions up until this moment and beyond are acting like every True Crime Serial Killer Girlie that has come up to me in my career to try and justify the actions of people like Dahmer, Gacy, Gein, and so on. "They're just misunderstood." "What did you think they would do? They had a rough life. It's not their fault they did these things." "They're just fighting back against the system that made them this way." All of this is to take the onus of responsibility off of the serial killer, just as all these anti-Israel activists take the onus off of Hamas and its violent terrorism. And just like a True Crime Girlie coming up to me with their binder full of notes about why their serial killer blorbo is good, your opinion that Hamas is somehow justified in their action is worth nothing. You've presented yourself as lacking the moral and ethical stand point that condemns such actions as taking families hostage, promising to return them, and then pulling a "switcheroo" last minute to be cruel. You're not good people, and no amount of mental gymnastics to somehow blame Israel for this will make you a good person. And if somehow you're a fellow Jew? Well, I think you've burned every bridge with the community as of this moment.

New flag for the Druze Suwayda Military Council in Southern Syria.
The resemblance to the flag of the Kurdish Syrian Democratic Forces is purposeful- they have expressed their willingness to coordinate with the SDF in persuit of a unified Syria that is decentralized, secular, safe, and democratic.
Israel is also backing (with air strikes) their decision not to allow any HTS militants into the region.
There’s also a new Israeli plan spearheaded by Druze in the Golan that will strengthen economic ties between the Golan and Druze controlled Syria by creating a system for Syrian Druze to enter the Golan for work.

I am literally begging Queer people on this site to realize the Holocaust was not about them
Yes gay and trans people were also targeted, we're denying that, but it was because homosexuality and transgenderism was seen as something caused by the Jews
The holocaust was about the Jews. Please stop pretending like it wasn't

Life hack for buying high quality leather goods when you know nothing about leather:
Ask the vendor (online or in person) questions about the leather they use:
How was it tanned? (Chrome, Vegetable, Combination- tanning transforms raw flesh into durable leather) How many oz is it? (leather thickness is typically measured in oz) What can you tell me about the grain and finish on the leather? (the grain is determined by what layers of the skin make up the leather, poor quality cuts are often disguised with heavy acrylic finishes)
If their leather is shitty, they'll feed you some fluff about it being "high quality italian made" leather.
If they are selling quality goods, they'll be thrilled to answer your questions precisely and probably with more detail than you asked for in the first place.
You'll be surprised at how affordable some high quality goods can be on Etsy. Some people just really love quality leather goods and want their products to be accessible to as many people as possible.

The fact that Hamas put the remains and/or body of a Gazan woman as a ploy to only further torture the Bibas family and their Jewish and Israeli brethren is yet another proof out of an infinite amount that
HAMAS DOES NOT CARE FOR ARABS IN PA TERITORY.
