spotlight: SAGA
Our spotlight for today is on NH's first and only original group as of now, SAGA. Dubbed the "Queens of Girl Crush" they have made their mark as one of the best selling, most acclaimed and popular girl groups in K-Pop history.
Their debut as NH's first girl group was highly theorized on and anticipated. The group went through many different lineup changes while NH tried to make sure their first group would be the best it could. NH wanted a group that was versatile talent and concept wise, though they. They were met with pretty fast success that they have sustained with frequent releases and promotions. In more recent years the girls have begun to shift to more solo ventures, but remain close and supportive of one another. Rumors have been spreading that some or all of the girls plan to depart from NH, but none have been confirmed. Their last comeback was in May 2022, and fans are desperate for another release from the international superstars.
MEMBERS
Kim Mia aka "Mia": Leader, Main Vocalist, Lead Dancer
Born 1995 in Toronto, Canada
Rumored to be related to an executive at NH, but that has never been confirmed or denied
She had the longest training person (6 years), highly anticipated debut. She was called "Mini-Hwa" pre-debut because of her vocal skills.
The first member release solo music, starting with Happy in 2020.
Has been publicly dating NOON's Jaewon since June 2023.
Known in the fandom as the "dad" of SAGA, since she shows her love in more quiet and subtle ways. She is very protective and supportive of the other members.
Lee Soyeon aka "Soul": Lead Rapper, Sub Vocalist, Visual
Born 1996 in Daegu, South Korea
Has gone on multiple health related hiatuses
Well known actor and model, established her own clothing brand "RE:Born" in 2021 under NoHarm
Known in the fandom as the "mom" of SAGA. When they lived in the dorms she would often cook and clean for the members. "Without Soul, our dorm would look like a boy group" - Angel (Vlive, 2017)
Bae Eunji aka "Jiji": Main Dancer, Vocalist, Rapper, Center
Born 1996 in Seoul, South Korea
Often leads group dance practice sessions and is known to be very strict.
Has a background in theater, started doing musicals in 2020 under her birth name "Bae Eunji"
She is a part of the group's sub-unit, So Far, with Angel
Voted as the most unlike her on stage persona (she's shy and introverted off stage)
Kittikhun Wattayachit aka "Luna": Main Rapper, Producer
Born 1997 in Bangkok, Thailand
Her debut marked her as NH's first and only non-Korean idol.
Since 2019 she has written on all of SAGA's albums and is a well known writing for other groups/artists.
Almost left Next Hit & SAGA after not being paid for the songwriting and producing she began participating in for SAGA in 2018. She has since negotiated with NH and paid for all of her previous writing credits.
She is the most private about her personal life. The members did not meet her family members until 5 years after the group's debut when they had a concert in Thailand.
Kim Soomin aka "Angel": Lead Vocalist, Maknae
Born 1997 in Seoul, South Korea
She was not in the original lineup of SAGA (as shown in the original pre-release song, 4 Walls), but was added right before debut after only 6 months of training.
Before debut she was a child actor and starred in many commercials and had small roles in dramas.
She is a part of the group's sub-unit, So Far, with Jiji.
She has a large presence in variety shows, and hosts her own radio show.
She is the most social member (voted by members), but also the most tardy. As a rookie, the group had a rule that you had to pay 500 won for every minute they were late to practice, Angel had to pay 30,000 won over six months.

senior spotlight: HWA
We will be starting off our spotlight series with the unofficial queen of NH: HWA. She has been with NH since the beginning and was the focus of much of their early history, so let's get to know her. This was originally going to be...much longer--but to save all some time I've cut it down to just some key highlight moments of Hwa's career. For a look at all of the title tracks the queen has released so far: check out this playlist! They are in chronological order and unless stated otherwise in this post, you can assume they were released at the same time as the IRL release date. Also, I've just listed title tracks, you can freely assume that any b-sides released with title track are included in Hwa's release!
EARLY LIFE & WATERFALL
Yoo EunHwa was born January 12th, 1991 in Seoul, South Korea. Her mother was a popular news anchor, which gave her an introduction to the entertainment industry and living as a public figure. She began singing and writing music early on in her childhood as her father was a notable classical pianist. She has gone on record saying that he "inspired me to take music seriously and wholeheartedly, to commit myself to writing and learning." Her uncle worked as a Senior Director of Marketing at Waterfall Entertainment, where she would become a trainee at the age of 15. She trained for 2 years before releasing her debut EP Lost and Found, and the title track "Lost Child (미아)" on June 23rd, 2008 under the pseudonym Hwa. The song had a dark tone that would seem foreign to future fans of Hwa, but showed her vocal talent and genre versatility. This would be her only release under Waterfall Entertainment as the company would dissolve by the end of the year.
GOOD DAY
After the dissolvement of Waterfall, Hwa was personally offered a contract with the brand new company Next Hit Entertainment by founder and CEO, Nam Dohyun. The two knew each other from Waterfall and had similar mindsets on the creative direction of her music, which had been a main point of contention between her and Waterfall. REAL: her second EP, released October of the same year. It peaked at #2 in Korea, and title track "Good Day" became a national phenomena, debut at #1. On the surprise success of the song Hwa has said in later interviews "everyone at NH, including me, was shocked. In the studio, we tend to focus on making the best songs we can and if people like them, all the better. At the time, I was focusing on my own performance. I think my mom was the one to tell me it was #1. I was never really focused on that part of it." In the same interview, Hwa also revealed that the success of the track allowed for NH to upgrade their headquarters from the one story office space they had been renting, into their own fully-fledge building. "We all (SAGA) owe our success to 'Good Day'" said SAGA's Gigi in a 2020 video marking the song's 10th anniversary.
NATION'S LITTLE SISTER
After cementing herself as a wholesome and girl-next-door idol star with her early work, Hwa was dubbed the "Nation's Little Sister" early on in her career. Her cute concepts and down to earth personality on and off stage has capture the heart not just of her loyal fans, but the Korean general public. She is one of the best selling and most awarded soloists in South Korean history. She often fought against the title, starting with her 2014 album Chat-Shire and the song "twenty three" which detailed the anxieties and pressures of aging into an adult. Two years later in 2016, in her collaboration with G-Dragon, "Palette", she speaks of being much more secure in herself as an adult woman singing "I like it, I'm 25" and "I got this, I'm truly fine." While the public may see her as "the little sister" she has shown herself as a mature and sophisticated artist.
SONGWRITING
Starting with "Alone in the Room" from her 2011 EP Real+ Hwa has been credited written over seventy songs so far in her musical career. With her second album, Last Fantasy in 2011, she took much more creative control over her music. Since Last Fantasy, nearly all of her albums have been mostly written by Hwa herself. In 2018, she won Lyricist of the Year at the Gaon Chart Music Awards. On songwriting she has said that: "its important to me, as an artist that I write my own music. People can say what they want about my singing, performances, or concepts. Those are joys to do and I'm proud of all that I've done in my career. I appreciate all of the hard work that my team does to make sure I look good. But, criticism about my writing I take very seriously. Even almost 15 years since my debut, I'm still learning and growing when it comes writing and producing, and I will continue to grow that muscle.
COLLABORATIONS
After making a name for herself early in her career, Hwa has become a frequent collaborator with a variety of artists. One of her most notable was the title track of her 2015 album, "Palette" and featured G-Dragon. In 2021, she released the track "31", with artist CHEESE. Both songs touch on aging, transitioning from girlhood to womanhood. Other popular collaborations include: SoulMate (ZICO, featuring Crush, 2018), Sing in the Green (with Yerin, 2022)
DATING SCANDAL
Hwa's career remained mainly safe and non-scandalous, until (one day after of the release of her collaboration with Jay Park "Ganadara") Dispatch claimed that her and the rap artist were dating and had been for years. NH immediately denied the claims, but Dispatch released secret photos of the star seemingly with Jay Park at a resort. Two days after the photos were released to the public, Hwa came out with a personal statement denying having ever been a relationship with Park, but confirming that she was in a relationship and that she was engaged. She did not release the name of her fiancé, as he is a private citizen, and asked for fans and "media outlets" to respect their privacy. No other information on when the two plan on getting married has been released. Fans theorize that the lack of music as of recent may be due to her focusing on her family and personal life.

Note
What are your rules regarding playing two faces from the same group?
we currently don't have any restriction on that! if it becomes an issue with certain members claiming most members of an irl group this may be amended, but for now (and with our current character cap being 4) i don't have a set rule there.

after a quick poll of our discord members, i can announce we will be opening: DECEMBER 24TH (a little christmas eve gift to all of us--or just a sunday gift to those that don't celebrate). i know that holidays can be hectic for a lot of us, so don't fret: buzz reserves will last for a week & can be extended for three more days if you don't get your profiles done in time. this site buzz has been a true delight to me--but i'm more than ready to get the site going, i hope everyone else is too!
this will be perfect timing for our first event which i'll go ahead and tease is a NEW YEARS PARTY, an annual tradition that will be touched more on once we're open and the event is released.
for the remaining days of our site buzz i'll be releasing some spotlights posts for our senior artists: hwa, saga, & noon. they've been touched on a bit, but these will go into more important moments of their history and more of their discographies! i wonder who your characters will stan (or anti!). our first spotlight will be for the incomparable: hwa, to be released later tonight!
once again thanks so much for all of the support on the site so far. it's been wonderful getting to know our members so far and i'm glad at least a few people like this little passion project of mine. next hit has plenty in store in the future so, please, if you have yet--join us in on the fun!

trainee code of conduct
since i can't get enough of the in site lore, under the cut we have the trainee code of conduct/contract that all of our characters would have read and signed before their first day of training. being caught not adhering to these guidelines will result in punishment, and in excess or extreme cases termination of their trainee contract. please keep them in mind while building your muse and writing their activities! as the roleplay progresses we may venture into punishing characters for blatant disrespecting of the rules and expectations laid out in this code. also, this is a living document that may be edited or added to as issues (ic) arise.
basically: follow these to keep your muse safe & progressing, break them to add some extra spice!
GENERAL CONDUCT
While still private citizens, trainees should conduct themselves in a respectful and mature manner while under NH. Behave appropriately in all aspects of life, but especially while studying under and representing NH.
Drug use is expressly banned and any trainee found consuming illegal drugs will have their contracts terminated. Alcohol use is permitted for trainees , but should never be done on NH property (including the dorms) and trainees are still expected to act responsibility and maturely.
All information shared with trainees should remain confidential unless stated otherwise. Trainees should keep their status as a trainee private from the public unless NH has the trainee go public (via survival shows or other public shows). Trainees are required to private all personal social media accounts and should never share their trainee status on anything but official NH accounts. Sharing or discussing non-public information with media or people outside of NH is grounds for immediate termination.
SCHEDULE
Trainees are expected to train from the hours of 5pm - 11pm Monday-Saturday. They are given every Sunday off, unless there is a special schedule that requires them. Trainees are expected to be on time to all of the following lessons:
5:00 PM - 5:10 PM: Check-in at NH and opening meeting (includes announcements) 5:15 PM - 5:55 PM: Workout Warm-Up/Free Gym Time 6:00 PM - 7:25 PM: Lesson #1 (Idols: Vocal/Rap, Actors: Vocals/Musical Performance, Models: Design, Producers: Engineering) 7:30 PM - 7:55 PM: Lesson #2 (All: Media Training) 8:00 PM - 8:25 PM: Dinner 8:30 PM - 9:55 PM: Lesson #3 (Idols: Dance, Actors: Acting, Models: Modeling, Producers: Songwriting) 10 PM - 10:50 PM: Lesson #4 (Idols: Variety/Performance, Actors: Writing/Directing, Models: Marketing, Producers: Dance/Choreography) 10:50 PM - 11 PM: Ending meeting/clean-up 11 PM - 12 AM: Free Practice (Coaches leave and trainees allowed to go home, but encouraged to practice if needed)
During Lesson #2, trainees may be pulled by coaches for extra practice in an area they are particularly struggling in. These schedules may change given any company wide events/opportunities, but those changes will be announced to trainees.
FACILITIES
As a trainee under NH (and it's subsidiaries) you have access to all of the following facilities and amenities 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Practice studios (dance & vocal + instrument)
State of the art fitness center (ref)
Cafeteria: hot meals served at 2pm and 8 pm every week day, cold grab & go refrigerators open 24/7 (ref), there are also healthy food vending machines scattered throughout the headquarters so trainees can stay well fed during trainee hours.
Rooftop Garden (ref)
During the weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and week days after 6pm, these facilities are locked for safety concerns, with trainees able to access via keycard access embedded in the NH ID badge all trainees receive during onboarding. Trainees are expected to act as adults and respect these spaces as a privilege, not a right.
EVALUATIONS
Every month, on the last Saturday of every month, trainees will give a performance to demonstrate their learning from the past month. Idol trainees will perform a song, actors at least a scene at least 3 minutes long, models will give a catwalk and give a test ad read, and producers will submit any songs written/composed, as well as journals and notes from that month's lessons. These will be evaluated by their coaches and trainees are given feedback the following weekday on their performance, as well as what they should improve on in the following month.
Trainees are allowed to complete these evaluations individually or pair up in groups of no more than 4 of their fellow trainees. For idol and actor trainees, they may select any song/scene they wish to complete their evaluation, submitted to their coaches before the evaluation day. Coaches and/or executives may group trainees together and assign them in order to test trainee's chemistry/proficiency in a certain concept.
EDUCATION & EMPLOYMENT & COMPENSATION
Any trainees of schooling age are required to go to school while training at NH and their schedules are set up to allow for them to attend classes regularly. NH also requires that students enrolled maintain passing grades. After graduating high school trainees may also enter university if they so choose. NH encourages trainees to attend/transfer to performing arts schools/programs of study, where training can often count for class credit. Trainees are allowed to have part time jobs outside of training, but must with their employer so their schedule allows them adequate time for training.
At NH, trainees do not accrue debt and are not expected to pay for any of the services and amenities given. For any activities completed through NH as a trainee, there is 50/50 pay split between company and trainee. If your trainee books a commercial, photoshoot, acting gig, or any other activity through NH, 50% of the income generated will go to the trainee and 50% to NH. NH does not provide any other funds outside of the amenities, but does have resources for trainees that may be struggling financially.
HOUSING
NH provides housing for trainees that do not have access to housing in Seoul, specifically for trainees that are from foreign or rural communities. Dorms are located a five minute walk from NH headquarters and each have two managers living with trainees at all times (one for the boys and one for girls). Guests must be pre-approved by the manager for safety of all residents. In the dorms there is a curfew of 11 pm, but that can be extended by permission of the manager if the trainee is practicing or an emergency occurs. During allowed vacation time, trainees must inform manager if they are leaving the dorms during the vacation.
DATING
Trainees are encouraged to focus on training rather than dating life, but there is not official "dating ban." NH runs basically on a don't ask, don't tell policy. Dating should never interfere with training though, if such issues arise there may be consequences.
_______________________________ _____________________________________ Hwang Yoojin, Head of Training Trainee Signature
and that is everything for this preview! let me know if there are any lingering questions about trainee life/NH's expectations of training! as stated in the intro blurb, this is a living document so it may be added to as issues in-character arise and are addressed by in-character executives! also--a sneak at everyone's boss: hwang yoojin! she's been with next hit since 2020 and was SAGA's head manager before becoming head of the training division.

profile preview
finally we have a bit of a preview of the skin i've been tinkering with for the better part of 2023 (i'm a coder at heart) with our MAIN PROFILE, modelled by my lovely muse (and resident wannabe vocalist) dowoon!
it comes in three sections: first is what i'll call the main/basics blurb that gives a basic rundown of your character. scroll down a bit and you'll find the application part: which includes a section for your character's current point totals (which automatically adds and subtracts skills your muse doesn't have points in, hence why his is so bare), some fun gifs to keep things cute, the freeform section, and a quick round up of some wanted plots/connections! one note i want to share on this section is, it grows with your muse! if your muse only has a few skills now, this section is made to automatically grow in height as you character gains more skills! (this is just a coding note that i wanted to share!) finally, there is the lovely player section which tells everyone a little bit about you (+ another cute image!). to successful complete your profile application you will need:
300x500 avatar (image will automatically resize but those are the dimensions!)
a total of 3 gifs: one which should be uploaded to the site in the EDIT AVATAR SETTINGS section of user control panel & one is apart of the relationship section--so doesn't have to be of your character/face claim*-- & one rectangular one!
*dowoon's is just him because he is forever alone
that is all for today! tomorrow we've have another discord challenge for our third and final reserve + an in character trainee code of conduct/newbie guide to get a better understanding of trainee life at next hit. our site buzz is nearing the end and i couldn't be more excited to get the site open. thanks for all of the support and if you haven't yet--feel free to join our discord! we're having a blast over there and would love for more to join the fun.

a history of next hit.
Under the cut you will find a (semi) brief history of the site's setting and focus company, NEXT HIT Entertainment. Everyone in the RP will be working under NH, so it's important we discuss the company's history! This post will give an overview of the history of major players in NH's history and present. If there are any questions about any of the following, feel free to ask away.
BEFORE NEXT HIT
NEXT HIT ENTERTAINMENT is an entertainment agency founded in 2009, which manages multiple artists and subsidiary labels. First, a bit of history on how NH came to be. Waterfall Entertainment was an early company in the K-Pop entertainment world, where Nam Dohyun began his career as a road manager in the early 2000s. Nam would eventually worked his way up to become Creative Director of Waterfall. However, in 2008 Waterfall Ent. went bankrupt and was dissolved. This did not deter Nam, who used his knowledge from almost a decade in the industry to establish NEXT HIT Entertainment, with a team made up of mostly former Waterfall employees.
HWA
Like much of their creative and management teams, NH's first artist, HWA (based on IU) was also a Waterfall rescue. At only 18, she was the first (and currently only) solo aritst signed to Next Hit Entertainment, releasing her first album Growing Up only months after the establishment of the label. The album was originally supposed to be her next release under Waterfall, but with the dissolving of her company she was more than happy to put it in Nam hands, who she had worked closely with during her Waterfall days. While the album had moderate success, enough to keep the new company afloat, she would achieve national acclaim with the release of her third EP, REAL and her hit single Good Day. As years went on, her wholesome self-made image has propelled to her to be one of the most popular and respected artists in K-Pop history.
2CHAN
While nowadays not discussed as much as their other artists, 2CHAN (composed of members Woochan and Chanbin) debuted as NH's first original group in 2010 with the single "Bounce," now seen as a commercial flop. The duo disbanded after their third single, “Keep Your Head Down” was another commercial failure in 2013. Woochan is a successful soloist and actor (albeit under a different company), while Chanbin has become a renowned vocal coach. In 2020, the pair joined for the first time since their disbandment for a reunion concert.
SAGA
The success of HWA allowed for NH to comfortably build a small roster of trainees and plan for future projects and endeavors. Rumors of the company's next big hit spread around the K-Pop world. After years of waiting, fans of NH were finally given answers to the question with the surprise drop of a dance practice video featuring four, up until then unknown, trainees and the original song "4 Walls" in late 2015. The internet went insane over the video and NH officially announced the debut of their first girl group, SAGA, early the next year. The girl group finally debutted on Valentines Day, 2016 with dual title tracks Whistle and Automatic, and an additional member, Angel, not featured in 4 Walls' initial release. The first mini album SAGA: The Beginning, was met with wide commercial success and marked the start of the of the leading groups in the third generation of K-Pop.
The quintet has gone on to become of the most notable, awarded, and successful group in K-Pop history, known together as "The Queens of Girl Crush" and members being some of the most sought after celebrities. Some of their top hits include: "Peek-A-Boo" (2018), "Black Dress" (2018), "Bad Boy" (2018), "Psycho" (2020), "Lovesick Girls" (2021), and most recently, "Feel My Rhythm" and "Birthday" released together in 2022. The members are also activity in sub-unit and solo endeavors, with their unit So Far having one of the most successful sub-unit debuts with the 2021 hit, "Monster" and has continued that success with their 2023 release "Air Force One".
NOON
With HWA being secure in her spot as the "Nation's Little Sister" and SAGA gradually taking the world by storm, NH found themselves with more capital than they knew what to do with. Over half a decade into NH's lifetime, Nam Dohyun wanted to something fresh and new to add to their roster. That was when he happened upon a small indie group, 눈높 (NunNop), looking to get their first record label. The group was well known in the indie scene for their songwriting abilities, lead by then guitarist Moon Ryuwon and the every flowing charisma of their lead singer, Jake Yang. After the departure of a member (Kitae, who had been critical of them "selling out" and now performs as a soloist under the name "Kit") the group signed as quartet and began work on their first album in 2017. Since joining NH, they have become one of the most well known K-Bands domestically and internationally, best known for their heart-wrenching break up songs. Some of their top hits include: "Congratulations" "Shoot Me" and "Love Cut." Main Vocalist and Guitarist Jake, has also become one of the biggest solo artists after his solo debut in 2022 (inspired by Baekhyun).
SUBSIDARIES
NH STUDIOS - Producing Path
Since the founding of NH Entertainment, its focus has largely been on expanding the capabilities and expectations of Korean popular music. As NH Ent. grew, it required more time, effort, and energy put into this aspect of its brand. Thus, the creation of NH Studios, home to producers and music creatives under the NH Ent. brand. NH Studios plans to increase it's output with new talent behind and in front of the screen.
NOHARM - Modeling Path
NoHarm was originally created to help handle SAGA's growing modeling careers and endeavors (specifically that of member Soul, who established her own brand RE:Born under the label). With creative director Kim Sookyung at the helm, NoHarm has been on the cutting edge of everything in the world of fashion and design. Always focusing on every aspect of the design process, its roster has become not only some of the most sought-after models, but also creatives in the industry.
CLASS ACT - Acting Path
Class Act was established to support the growth of NH's brand into the film industry. Class Act has been home to great talent in the film and theater industries. Partnerships with domestic and international distributors, writers, directors, and actors, has allowed Class Act to quickly rise as one of the top film production houses in South Korea. In the nature of NH Entertainment's company mission of creation, in the beginning of 2023, Class Act began forays into the creating its own films and television shows. Plans to expand these continue to be in development as Class Act grows its talent roster.
SCANDALS
One of the first major scandals that faced NH had to do with SAGA's Visual, Soul. Mid-promotions of their 2017 song, "I Like That," was injured on stage and had to go on a full hiatus, causing her to miss their first tour later that same year. This was after videos of the girls looking exhausted and weak backstage had gone viral. Fans called for a full group hiatus due to the issue, since the girls had been working practically nonstop since debut. NH never announced an official hiatus, but did attempt to spread out promotions in 2018 and onward.
In late 2022, rumors spread of SAGA's Leader Mia possibly being an relationship after photos were leaked of her out with a mysterious man. Dispatch, on New Years Day 2023, confirmed that the man in question was NOON's Drummer and Maknae Jaewon, and that the couple had been dating since 2022. NH quickly confirmed that the two were in a relationship. Both released letters to their fans, thanking them for support and asking for privacy in their personal lives. The two have gone on to appear together on various red carpets, and Mia has been seen attending Noon's Toronto concert (where she is from) during their most recent world tour with some of her hometown friends. The pair have been named "MiWon" by fans with most being supportive of the couple.
and that is all for this preview! i hope you enjoyed this little look into NH's history and lore. i can't wait for all of us to build upon this lore with our own characters and plots. as always, feel free to throw any lore questions my way--probably best done in our discord!

our skill system
for NEXT HIT's first preview, i thought it important to give potential members a look into our SKILL SYSTEM! this kind of system may be new to some, so i wanted to layout how it will be run on this new site. it's an important part of events and character progression in our universe, so i want to make sure everyone is on the same page before we begin. also, on next hit: all characters begin their time as trainees. under which label/path/goal (touched on under the cut) your character finds themself is up to the player, but all characters will be trainees. as characters progress through the roleplay and events, they will be given the chance to debut.
now, before we get into the system, i want to preface that i did not come up with the idea of a skill system being used in a korean entertainment/idol roleplay. i want to give credit to sites like: rookieskrp, lgcrp for inspiring next hit's system. while i did my best to make our system specific and tailored to this site's goals, i felt it necessary to give credit where it's due.
onto our system!
first: BASE SKILLS these are the skills that all characters are trained in while under NEXT HIT, but it is up to your discretion as mun to put (or not put) points towards that skill! base skills include:
vocals, rap, dance, creativity, charisma, and any instruments
instruments are tracked individually, so your character will have x number of guitar points, x number of drums--if any at all. for in universe reasoning: all trainees underneath NEXT HIT are given access to lessons on those skills.
next: BONUS SKILLS are specific to the paths i mentioned earlier! we have four different paths for muses to choose from. they correspond to the four different labels that make up NEXT HIT ENTERTAINMENT--which will be given their own post, so be on the look out for that! each path has it's own set of skills that trainees are given regular lessons on and expected to have a level of competency in. the paths and the bonus skills that apply to them are as follows:
IDOLS variety, acting, modeling, and songwriting
ACTING acting, directing, writing
MODELING modeling, design, marketing
PRODUCERS songwriting, sound engineering, choreography
you may notice that IDOL trainees' bonus skills are sort of "stolen" from the other paths. this is because we want to give idol trainees an opportunity to, while they are still trainees, be able to start work on building their own roles and identities for their future groups. so, if you have an idol trainee that also wants to dabble in producing when they debut, they can start working on that skill now. opportunities will be given to acquire skills in other paths, but for acceptance you just have to focus on the skills applicable to your path.
finally, another important "skill" that is available to all muses is EXPOSURE. similar to experience points in traditional roleplay games, exposure notes how much your muse's name gets put out there. not directly correlated to popularity or fame, it shows more of how much your muse has done while under NH. for all new characters this starts out as 0, since your character.
skills will be tracked on the main profile of every character, edited and kept up to date by the admin. skill points can be acquired through activity and events. all trainees start out with a base set of points, using the following this formula:
100 (for base points, what your muse had at their audition) + 20*(Months of Training IC) = Starting Skill Points
for simplicity sakes, we say that all trainees have started the first of the month, whenever you chose that they joined NH. also, don't count the month that your trainee is accepted in (OOC) since acitivity points will be awarded for that. so instance: if my trainee started training in january of this year, they would have 11 months of training under their belt and the math would follow: 100 + (20*11) = 100 + 220 = 320 starting points, to distribute how i wish!
these points are specific to them, so allocate them how you see best reflects your character. for those that read this post and want to jump the gun & get started on making their points, don't forget weaknesses! all of the characters here start out as trainees and will be given time to grow. they do not have to be perfect at everything.
that's the preview for today--thanks for reading and i look forward to fielding any questions you have and chatting in the discord!
