“Star big star brown. From the haze of this stinkin town,” Julian recited with closed eyes. “I wish you may, if you know how, gimme, gimme, now, now, now!”

The king carefully opened his eyes. He wasn´t sure what exactly he wanted. Except he had been rather lonely lately- But it´s not like the Sky Spirits are going to drop some girl from the sky.

That would´ve been freaky and embarrassing if he wouldn´t catch her. Suddenly he heard a voice behind him.

“Ringtail? What are you doing so late out here on the roof?!” Skipper´s voice reflected concern and curiosity.

Julian turned and grinned. The leader might be annoying and he isn´t a sparkly neckoration that the king could wear, but honestly, the Sky Spirits couldn´t have been more generous.

What do you think about Jerome giving Bruce a teddy bear in 3x14?

- Do you like the concept where Jerome wins a teddy bear for Bruce, saying: 'Can't a man give a gift, especially when you're going to certain death?!'

- A teddy bear with a big bloody smile that taunts Bruce so much just by his appearance, because Bruce at that time already had a 'sad clown smile'.

- And what if Bruce keeps a teddy bear from his kidnapper even during No Man's Land?

Justifying his action - 'this is just a reminder of my mistakes and the first serious promise. Alfred, I'm not lying' - he still takes the bear and for 2 years his attitude towards the toy changes a lot

At first time, he has a rather negative attitude towards the toy: old memories again and again appear in his head like nightmares just if he looks at this awful bear. The realization that he can kill or cause a lot of pain.

But as soon as his 'brat' phase sets in, Bruce becomes more aggressive towards the bear: use this as an outlet for his aggression.

But what about situations when heavily intoxicated or hungover Bruce starts to imagine that teddy bear it's Jerome and talks to him? A discussions about Jerome's childhood, why he became so manic, what was the main reason, accompanied by loud laughter in his head and screams of pain from the Carnival.

And what about situations when Bruce can't hold back his tears and hugging the bear, sobbing, promises himself that 'this won't happen again', but goes back to hugging the toy, remembering his bad deeds (in his opinion), imagining what Jerome could say?

After the death of Jerome, the bear gives even more pain than he expected. Bruce assured everyone and himself that Jerome's death did not mean anything, but he is well aware that Jerome's death hurt him very much.

Bruce during No Man's Land might continue his hug time with teddy bear.

Bruce's discussion about Jerome slowly turns into discussions about Jerome and Jeremiah during No Man's Land.

Bruce hates what Jerome did. With the city, with Jeremiah, with him. Bruce hates Jerome but realizes how sorry he is for the little boy who was abused by his family. He wanted to save Jerome, and he hates himself for doing not so much. Hates that he couldn't save one brother from the other.

But he also loves Jerome.

Teddy bear - a solid memory of that terrible night at the Carnival and the 'helplessness and weakness' in front of the toy. No matter how stupid it may sound, but that smile and the fact that it was Jerome who give the bear will be an association for Bruce. He sees a bear - immediately remembers all moments with Jerome.

I think that's exactly what Jerome might trying to achieve.
