You're a bit shocked as you sit down at your designated table, a scowl quickly decorating your features as soon as that familiar, lopsided smirk interrupted your vision.

"Fancy meeting you here," Tsukishima states in an arrogant manner. He rests an elbow on the table—surely to get on your nerves—as the speechlessness continues biting at you.

You have to bite back a retort as he tilts his head, peering at you with that obnoxious grin on his face.

"What," he teases again, resting his chin in the palm of his hand. "Cat got your tongue?"

Finally letting out a scoff, you move your head to the side in a quick, airy laugh. When you turn to glance at him again, you have to purse your lips to prevent a snide comment from slipping past them.

He looks devastatingly handsome, sporting a suit jacket and nice dress pants. Dark colors look good on him, you find yourself thinking, especially with the way his blonde hair is slightly slicked back, his watchful eyes drinking in your every reaction.

"You look like crap," you respond smoothly, tilting your chin at him, "by the way. In case you didn't already know."

And his reaction shocks you—instead of his usual taunting and teasing, Tsukishima knocks his head back in laughter, a bright grin gracing his face as he faces you again. The sight causes butterflies to swarm in your chest, and you have to swallow thickly to avoid saying anything embarrassing.

"And you look amazing," Tsukishima merely states, his gaze not breaking yours as he brings his drink up to his lips.

And you can't help but think that maybe your 'frenemies' relationship could be changing for the better.
