𝗪𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 (𝗇𝗈𝗍 𝗋𝗅𝗅𝗒) : fluff, confession, shinomitsu

-𝘚𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘣𝘶 𝘬𝘰𝘤𝘩𝘰 𝘹 𝘮𝘪𝘵𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘪 𝘬𝘢𝘯𝘳𝘰𝘫𝘪

After completing a mission that Master Ubuyashiki had sent them to, Shinobu and Mitsuri were returning. It took an hour to get there, but once there, Mitsuri and Shinobu quickly decapitated the demon that had been terrorising the small-town. They suffered only minor scrapes from the demons blood art. As dusk fell they made the decision to make a pit break by a beautiful lake with cherry blossom trees surrounding them. The villagers were gracious enough to provide them with food so they could fuel up on their long walk back and to express their gratitude towards them.

They sat down on a bench that was in full bloom. They removed the meal from the bag it had been carefully wrapped in. There were four tricoloured dangos within. This was too little for mitsuri, and shinobu knew it all to well. Shinobu said calmly “mitsuri you know, I’m not that hungry, you can take my two dangos “really? Are you certain won’t you become hungry?” “I’m not hungry right now” “but later-” “mitsuri, just take my two please” shinobu said sternly but sweetly “thank you so much shinobu!” Mitsuri responded eagerly and raised a hand to her cheek, she was blushing more than normal. Shinobu blushed at this. Which surprised her because she rarely does and generally only blushes to match her “smile”. With the light shining on her, mitsuri appeared stunning. They were intensely focusing on one another’s eyes. Shinobu leaned over to pick up a cherry blossom that had just landed on one of mitsuris braids without realising how close they actually were. Shinobu leaned back as she became aware of their proximity. “I apologise for getting so near” shinobu said flushing a red colour “you know shinobu, you’re cute when you blush” mitsuri giggled.

Shinobu was aware that feeling this way towards mitsuri was inappropriate. she was aware that she would have to surppress her emotions because she couldn’t feel this way about her fellow Hashira and shinobu knew she wouldn’t survive very long anyway. “Hey, shinobu, can I ask you a question?” Mitsuri asked, her face showing signs of embarrassment as she changed colour to match her hair, going a shade of pink. Shinobu shook her head and told mitsuri that it was okay “the moon looks beautiful tonight, doesn’t it?” mitsuri stumbled, Shinobu reddened knowing exactly what this meant shinobu replied with “yea, it does” before leaning in for a kiss.
