omg i have not been keeping up with showss ....

okay so ive been really busy with school like i always say that but rn im busier than ive ever been (mental breakdown every week yay!) 😭 so its gonna be a long while until i catch up with monkey kid like ive been so busy i havent even had time to sit down and watch ninjago s2p2 and lowkey ngl i forgot everything cuz its been like .. more than 6 months

buuuuttt this gives others time to catch up too so when i liveblog it hopefully people wont get spoiled!!

my rough estimate is like late october/november.. yeah sorry

oh shit!!! i went to watch it and yeah theres a clear difference in the animation but i dont really mind tbhhhhhhhh

and also i watched in chinese i think thats the only version thats out rn???

even though i know chinese im actually terrible at it truth be told i managed to make out nezha's 老爸 (dad) and the ending where mei is singing 拜年 (bai nian)(七个隆咚锵咚锵...) which is a song that is mostly heard during lunar new year, the lyrics are literally about visiting houses during lunar new year so idk what thats all about hahahha 😭

The lmk figures aren't bad, they just really could be better. There is a very obvious reason why this show is 2d. But I'm personally just not one for lego figures in general so idk

mhm yea yea i think they look ok for lego but way hetter in the show!! i was thinking of maybee getting an lmk set once but i took a look and they were kiinda expensive (for good reason tho they are very well designed)

MK vs Lloyd "sparring match" but Mei managed to bribe them into doing it in their Harbinger of Chaos/Monkie and Oni forms respectively

The Ninja crew say that Lloyd will win (overconfident shits)

The monkie crew laugh so hard they're crying, I'm pretty sure wukong and macaque passed out from wheezing too hard

Lloyd gets his ass best through approximately 5 mountains (mk apologizes both before and after the fight)

theres so many different ways to come up with chinese names lol some go by number of strokes (my chinese name is like that!) and i think most go by meaning haha its just really cool

btw mks name in chinese (齐小天) is literally what my school teachers told me not to do in essays 😭 mks name is 小天, and "小" (xiao) means little, its like using 小明 (xiao ming), or 小文 (xiao wen) which are really generic names equivalent to that of "little jimmy" in english.. so yeah if you ever write a chinese essay and need a name for your characters dont use the words 小 and 大 (big) cuz like.. idk its not a realistic name at least where im from

ok im gonna ramble a bit more on chinese because like its fun now im proud of my heritage!!!!!

anyway if you wanna write like mk or any other character introducing themselves you dont need to say like "my name is qi xiaotian" you could just say "my name is xiaotian" cuz like idk "qi" is his surname its kinda weird to introduce yourself casually with your surname right just use your first name

again, cultural differences this is how it goes in my country no clue how it works in like china or something but id assume its the same?? i also havent watched the chinese version of the show so idk how he says his name bruh 💀 also this mightve been obvious already but like i saw someone make this mistake (?) so yeah

ALSO QI IS HIS SURNAME!! like usually your chinese surname and english surname match up! i have an english and chinese name :)

so his name would be mk qi? or qi mk?? whatever mk stands for lol.. monktavius kidsworth

so like his full name would be "mk qi xiaotian" because usually your chinese name goes to the back or in some cases it could also be like "qi xiaotian mk" (which sounds better) idk this is so interesting to me guys..

i know some chinese surnames have english versions like

chen -> tan

hong -> ang

but i dont think qi is one of those ive never encountered someone with the surname qi?? i dont think its a popular surname so idk but probably not

again keep in mind cultural differences i live in southeast asia and the show takes place in china 😭

i could ramble about chinese in lmk for like days its just nice to know things and pick up on stuff :') like it feels awesome to flex my mother tongue yk!! anyway if yall have questions regarding chinese send them in i will try to answer to the best of my limited ability haha

You're manipulated multiple times by adults, and sure, you tried to do that once to them, but you were a child. They were adults. That's not fair.

Lloyd: It was destiny, I had to because of the prophesy...

Tang: No, you had a choice. You didn't have to do all that, and even if you wanted to, you could've waited till you were mature enough to understand the severity of it. Your uncle trains you-- actually, he forcibly takes you, which legally would happen anyways as your only relative, but the law was never involved, not to mention you were under the impression you'd be hurt.

Tang: It's not your fault either. You were coerced into it. The prophesy never said when you had to defeat your father, right?

Lloyd: Well, I don't entirely remember....

Guys, hear me out:

HEAR ME OUT-

I don't wanna get my hopes up but please please PLEEEEASE let this be case because it's WAY too conveniently timed.

From what we've seen so far, something is causing the realms of Ninjago to merge and collide with each other, the event is literally called "The Merge."

Aaaaaand Azure just killed the Jade Emperor and gained his powers, causing a massive disturbance/distortion as we saw with how reality got fucked up when the jade emperor died.

Okay so what if:

Azure killing the jade emperor potentially caused the world (or realm) of LMK to distort in a way that caused another realm to distort as well?

we've seen in Ninjago how realms are connected with each other, Djinjago collapsed because The Cursed Realm, aka djinjago's "sister realm" was destroyed in the season prior.

And assuming there was at least a few weeks between the destruction of The Cursed Realm and start of season 6, then djinjago's collapse took a while to fully happene. (assuming that there's no time dilation between the 16 realms, which from what we've seen seems to be the case).

And so what if the distortion/disturbance left by the Jade Emperor's death caused a domino effect to happen that spiraled out of control, leading to all 16 (or technically now 14) realms colliding with each other?

Look I'm not saying that a Ninjago and LMK crossover could potentially happen.

BUT A NINJAGO AND LMK CROSSOVER COULD POTENTIALLY HAPPEN.

soooooo tempted to write the 'morro and macaque become multiverse friends post merge and scare their respective heroes' fic don't test me. i WILL do it and it WILL have crackfic AND found family elements to it.
