Reading Comet Show makes me so ill because beyond the horrible way Chiaki handled the situation and how it affected his juniors, he destroyed the thing he loved and tried soooo hard to protect two years prior (yumenosaki's ryuuseitai)

I've seen this come up a few times but why do people in this fandom write fanfic? Like I'm assuming the majority of people write it for the interest/enjoyment in writing and I'm just being utterly psychic blasted by the handful of people who do/want to write fanfic for engagement

This applies to any fandom to be fair, but what the hell is the point writing fanfic for engagement? Like I write because I want to read my ideas. I'm my main audience, and it's great. I get to write whatever characters I want and explore different ships and dynamics and goofy ideas and make as many references I want, and I genuinely do not care if another person reads it. I appreciate everyone who reads my fics, and it does feel great to see appreciation (kudos/comments/bookmarks, etc.). I'm grateful my silly little fics mean things to others too, but like I have fics that I love that are my lowest engagement fics and that doesn't make me question if it could've been better if I'd written a different ship or did a different trope.

I just find it odd to write for the sake of getting comments and kudos and bookmarks or getting upset the enstars ao3 people don't "interact enough." Like yes the enstars fandom does have a low comment ratio compared to other similar sized fandoms I've been in, but that's not like an issue? Idk write for yourself and you'll find shit's more fun is my only advice

I don't know if people compare Ryuuseitai to specific Sentai series but the correct answer is Hurricangers. They're soooo early episodes Hurricangers coded

Also the reason Chiaki and Kanata are the seniors of Ryuuseitai is the same reason why Yousuke, Nanami, and Kouta are the Hurricangers

What the hell is up with the Seisoukan dorm doors? You can see them in a handful of cards and there is some sort of window in them, but it's not the same between all the dorms?

You can see Mika and Ritsu's in Tsukasa's Ardent Promessa card and it's like a sliver. Same goes for Tori's dorm (Ghostic Experience card), Hinata's (As the Little Brother), Kuro's (History Challenge), and Hiyori's (Self Expression Guide).

But if you look at Tsukasa's (The Road to King) and Kaoru's (Perplexing Countenance) dorms, their window is is like a third of the door width. It looks to be frosted in Kaoru's card, so I was like okay that's weird but at least they're frosted, but if you go look at Hiyori's Self Expression Guide unbloomed, that window is not frosted at all

So like I guess either you get a door thats a third window but it's frosted or you get a smaller window but at the cost of people can see you inside

I've seen a handful of "Wow, I'm getting into Ryuuseitai, what toku series should I start with" posts and maybe my advice is shit but I sooooo recommend starting with a series made in the same years of the shows you watched growing up.

Like I grew up on primarily late 90s-early 00s media, and I started with Kamen Rider Kuuga and Hurricangers and that was a fantastic decision. Every other series I've watched from that era so far is also great. Kamen Rider W and Gokaigers were also good so like not knocking on the early 2010s or anything but 90s-00s media just hits different for me yk

Maybe I'm just super not into the new series in KR and Sentai but I always recommend watching stuff from your favourite years of media rather than just hopping into the oldest or newest shit

I had more thoughts in regards to people shitting on each other's headcanons but I think the argument "why would you headcanon a character with this if we already have a character with this in canon?"

Stupid ass argument for so many reasons, but to continue with the gender headcanon shitshow, "why would you transfem [x] if we have Arashi?"

People don't always want to write her, maybe they don't like Knights, whatever the reason is, who cares? She's also not a universal experience of a transwoman, even within the idol industry. Being trans in each agency would be different from the others whether they're out publicly or not like there's so much to explore that can't be done if you only follow canon

What is with putting down other people's headcanons? And yeah this is straight up about reddit threads (and in reference to gender hcs) but I probably can't just post my rant on there

So yes there are some people who are annoying about their headcanons but you don't need to put down anyone's headcanon to validate yours/make it seem better. We're all making our own shitty headcanons and that's the beauty of it.

But so many replies were like "I hate when people transfem characters 'just because they look feminine'" which already boo hiss. But then they use that to say why their transmasc headcanon is good like dude you can just say you like this character as transmasc, that's fine.

Like if I don't like your headcanon, I can just not interact with it. Why would I get pissed if you like to hit someone with a transmasc beam that I don't or that I hit with the transfem beam because who cares? I don't care if you make a character transmasc, cis, non-binary, transfem, whatever. Just create interesting things and be nice to each other.

And that goes beyond gender headcanons. If you feel you need to put someone's headcanon down to make yours better, maybe just don't! Your headcanon is fine without shitting on theirs and vice versa

I feel like people think parody = bad and/or low quality, which is just not correct.

I've heard people argue that Carrangers isn't a parody and "how dare you call it a parody it's good!" But those aren't antonyms of each other? Carrangers *is* a parody, but it's genuinely a good show. It's my favourite sentai by far, but like it's still a parody. It can poke fun at itself while still maintaining what makes a sentai series good.

✿ Femstars Week 2025 Day 4: First Date ✿

Some of my hair headcanons for femstars week (in no particular order and just a handful of characters)

I think Leo wouldn't tolerate hair much longer than he currently has it because he already complains about it being hot, so I think Leo's hair would look virtually the same.

Same goes for Madara but just because I cannot envision her with different hair, and I think long hair would be impractical for her. Mama seems like she'd balance aesthetic with practicality.

Shu's hair would look exactly the same. No, I don't take feedback.

So would Arashi's. Please leave her hair alone, femstars artists and writers, I beg you

Oh and same for Kaoru. Don't take her godawful mullet away!!! You can make the thingies longer but you can't take the mullet away from her, she needs it.

Himeru's hair would be a little bit shorter than in canon but shaped differently, more femme. Since Himeru's appearance is based on what Kaname did, it'd be whatever she had, but I think she'd be pretty femme to fit in with what she thinks would do well for a Special Student/idol industry.

Kohaku's is also super dependent on other characters, aka Younger Sis Oukawa because I don't know if they'd need to look like each other. That depends A Lot on worldbuilding, but either way tbh I do think her hair would be pretty similar to canon.

Shinobu and Sora would both wear their hair in short pigtails

Midori would have decently long hair (at least past her shoulders) but it'd be like brushed out waves/loose curls. She'd probably keep it in a ponytail a lot. Also bangs for sure.

Kanata's hair maybe would be a little bit longer but definitely not any longer than he had it before he cut it short pre-!. I cannot envision her with very long hair because of how important Kanata cutting his hair was to his characterisation in regard to the cult.

Chiaki would have short-ish hair, like longer than Chiaki in canon but it'd be like chin-length max. She seems like a full focus on functionality kind of gal. She probably did have longer hair at some point but chopped that shit off between SHIN, Ryuuseitai, and Sports Survivors yk

Tetora would probably be similar to Chiaki but she'd be a bit less full functionality and care a bit more about aesthetic/expression. Aesthetically would probably base a bit off Kuro. Best way I can think to describe how I think Chiaki and Tetora's hair differs is Chiaki's would be a bit too short for a ponytail but Tetora's could make a small ponytail.

I haven't really considered Rinne's hair before, but I think her style would have heavy influences from masc Tokyo street fashion so interpret the effect of that on her hair as you will. I could see it being shorter, the same, or longer but I'd lean towards shorter or the same

I also have a lot of opinions on their styles (both individual and unit), which also for the individual stuff plays into gender presentation and how they conceptualise/interact with gender and gender role expectations

I'm gonna have to write a transfem character in femstars (explicitly because I'm sure I've done it lowkey before) because I need you guys to be Understanders.

I know you aren't shy to hit your favourites with the transmasc beam in canon setting where practically everyone's a guy so saying "yeah but femstars inherently means everyone's cis" is boring! Do you know how much fun worldbuilding things you can do?

If you want to play with gender, be interesting with it. Like just consider transmasc characters in canon vs in femstars, transfem characters in canon vs femstars, trans characters in whatever setting. Everything will affect the worldbuilding and character dynamics. It's so fun and you can explore so much more
