Non-Conforming Attraction (NCA) refers to individuals who do not conform to society’s attraction lifestyle. This includes, but isn’t limited to:

Deity+Worshiper: a 16+ nichelink relationship dynamic where one person is the "deity" and the other/s are the "worshiper/s."

("deity" can be replaced with "god" "goddess" "goddex" or whatever term that person prefers, and "worshiper" can be replaced with "follower" "believer" or whatever that person prefers/sees accurate.)

this may include, but is not limited to:

the worshiper showing reverence and adoration for the deity

the deity being an introject/alterhuman/etc of a deity and wanting to recreate the feeling of having followers

the deity being desirgod/goddess, desirdeity, dissodeity, or other dissodic or desirdae terms

the deity being desirharmfulgod/godess and the worshiper giving them an outlet to express those feelings in a lighthearted/roleplaying way, or otherwise

the worshiper being a recovering r*dqueer and/or f*lt member and the deity giving them a safer outlet to express their desire to 'worship' someone

neomythic or creartheist terms/practices, or a community of people who use one of them choosing a person to become the deity to 'worship'

how should rate a term that is not inherently sexual and is not meant to be inherently or exclusively kinky or sexual but still can be used sexually? im not sure if i should rate it 16+ with a note saying any sexual interactions within the dynamic must be 18+ or just simply put it as 18+ entirely /genq

what i would do is rate it 16+ or whatever you want to rate it, and then if you want to add a note about the potential for kinky stuff, say something like "(if you are 18+) kink reasons". almost any nichelink could be used in a kinky way, but you only HAVE to make it 18+ if it's suppose to be inherently kinky/kinky by default. i hope that makes sense, i'm sleepy /gen

i am now in the process of archiving this blog. i think i might have a couple new terms/flags which i forgot about posting, such as the nichelink re/shaping flags i posted, but beyond that i will be archiving this blog.

the nichelink carrd got another revamp and it includes a section on nichegroups now. this will be the last update to the carrd.

i forgot i still haven't made a nichegroup psd... i will do that when i am able and then add it to the mediafire folder.

NICHELINK FLAG - PNG TEMPLATE

I know a couple formats of template (including svg and full pngs plus individual symbols) exist over on @nichelink, but since my favourite format is individual layer pngs and I've been making a few nichelink flags myself, I decided to make a template in said format!

Layers under the cut; layer 1 should be the lowest on your canvas.

here is my current to-do list. once i have these done, i will no longer be using this blog. i opened the askbox again so i can any questions anyone may have.

if you send in a request, i'm ignoring you. i have stated pretty clearly multiple times when they are and aren't open and it has been ignored every time, which was distressing for me, so please do not do this.

Nichegroup: A newly coined and mostly likely niche dynamic between a group of acquaintances that differs from social norms, but is consensual and aware of potential risks. It may come with specific predefined roles and tasks, or be casual. It's a sister term to nichelink.

compared to nichelink, this term is slightly more relaxed, because i want it to be accessible to both casual "haha our friend group is kind of like a cat colony" and to people like myself who crave a semi-organized specific dynamic where one person is dominant over others in their group. it still uses the age rating system that nichelink does, but i personally picture that most of the terms coined for this will end up with lower age ratings because of the room for relaxed and casual identification.

examples of nichegroups could be:

a cat colony

a pokemon team and their trainer

the programs on a computer

a warrior cats clan

other things which are specifically meant to be applied to a group of people/your group of friends if you took "our friend group is like [thing]" seriously

nichegroups can be serious like i just said, but they can also be more relaxed. it can be a whole Thing that your group agrees to, such as you deciding which person will have what role and having a discussion of what they can and cannot ask the others to do, or it may be more casual. either way, i suggest having a formal discussion, creating a contract, or having some other kind of guidance when you bring up to your group that you want to do this, so that everyone involved knows what it's going to entail, even if it only ends up being a simple "can we x?" "yeah sure" and that's it. nichegroups should not be done with implied consent.

some reasons people may use this term:

attraction types like drift attraction, pack, considatore, peculic, forms of social or platonic attraction, etc

lightheartedly deciding you'll treat your group like [insert thing]

desire for companionship with people who understand your [insert any identity that relates to being alterhuman, having atypical dysphoria, etc]

anything dysfirming, really.

grammar:

nichegrouping: the state of being in this kind of relationship with someone else. “we’re nichegrouping” “we might start nichegrouping since we're all dogkin”

nichegroup: 1) the specific terms themself. “i coined a nichegroup,” “definition: an all-ages nichegroup where…” 2) the relationship itself. “our nichegroup scheduled a party tomorrow,” “his last nichegroup broke up”

nichegrouper: someone who participates in nichegroupings or wishes to.

nichegroupies: the people in your nichegroup (general term, you can also just call them your groupies, friends, partners, or whatever word is used in the definition of a term, such as calling them "gems" in the definition later in this post)

nichegroups are titled as [thing] Nichegroup, but you can drop "nichegroup" when you're talking about it outside of the official title because this can make sentences really fucking long. here's an example:

Diamond Court Nichegroup: a 16+ relationship dynamic agreed upon in a group of people where one (or more) person(s) are the "diamond", and the others are the "gems" of their "court," akin to the relationship between a diamond and the gems in their court in Steven Universe.

this may include, but isn't limited to:

finding Diamond+Pearl nichelink appealing but choosing to do it in a group, and/or one member of the group also being in a Diamond+Pearl nichelink

the diamond "assigning" a specific gem type to the members of their court

tertiary or alteraffectis attraction terms like performer, bonding, evoic, oric, aish, loben, preisen, etc

people in the group using the gem presentation system, being gemhede, crysgema, etc

following diamonds devoted

the diamond dressing up the gems, shaping them, having the gems perform menial tasks for them, or having them entertain them when bored

the gems being recovering r*dqueers and/or f*lt members and the diamond giving them a safer outlet to express their desire to be influenced/changed/owned/etc

the gems wanting to be "owned" and "used" for any reason, really

the diamond making decrees of how the gems should behave, within reason

everyone can coin nichegroups, some nuance/info and post templates are under the cut:

Thing Nichegroup: a(n) All-Ages | 16+ | 18+ relationship dynamic agreed upon in a group of people where one (or more) person(s) are | is the "[thing]", and the others are the "[thing]".

if it's Fiction-Based, add "akin to the relationship between a [thing1] and their [thing2] in [media]."

this may include, but isn't limited to:

basically, here i just list things that occur to me that might make someone seek this out. for example, someone who is pokemon alterhuman might seek out a pokemon related nichegroup because they miss being on a team and want that relationship with a trainer and the rest of their party again, one where they explore, have allegiance to the trainer and obey them, but have their own life and personality still. and then i go, okay, so pokemon don't exist in the real world, how can they emulate this online or offline?

if i know of atypical dysphoria related terms like dissomei, desirdae, non rq transid, alterpathy, etc, i will also include those

if i know of, or can find on @tertiary-attraction-archive or @alteraffectis, an attraction that involves wanting to do or be [thing this term describes], i will add that

and then i also try to think of "what is something that's not considered 'healthy' by normal people's standards but could easily be replicated with care and consent to make people with atypical dysphoria happy?"

other notes:

every rule about age ratings i already mentioned for nichelinks still applies here. if it involves erotic content, it's automatically 18+. if it involves modifying someone's identity or training them, it's automatically 16+. i will continue to update the faq on the nichelink carrd to add a nichegroup page, so i really implore you to read that over if you haven't yet.

there is some crossover between nichegroups and nichelinks, and if you aren't 100% sure whether your relationship should be one or the other, that's okay. and: people in a nichegroup can also be in individual nichelinks, whether separate from the nichegroup's theme or related to it.

nichegroups should never encourage harm on purpose. by nature, this term cannot include asking your nichegroupies to self injure, not drink or eat, or engage with content that will trigger their delusions or triggers. please affirm your identities within reason.

for the reasons above, please do not make nichegroups based on cults.

Vtuber+Mama: a 16+ nichelink relationship/relationship dynamic where one person is the "vtuber" and the other/s are the "mama," akin to the relationship between a vtuber and their "mama/papa."

(mama can be swapped for 'papa' or literally any other term for a parental role that is appropriate.)

this vtuber terms glossary defines a mama and papa this way:

Papa – A Vtuber’s Papa is the person who rigged their character model. Meanwhile, the artist who drew and layered the model is the Mama. But this isn’t always standard. Some VTubers call their creators Mama or Papa based on gender, not skillset. And don’t forget that sometimes the artist and rigger are the same person! In Japanese, this VTuber term is written パパ. however it does seem from my outsider perspective that "mama" and "papa" can be used in several different ways. this relationship/relationship dynamic may include, but is not limited to:

Entity+Avatar: a 16+ nichelink relationship/relationship dynamic where one person is the "entity" and the other/s are the "avatar," akin to the relationship between an entity in The Magnus Archives and their avatars.

this may include, but is not limited to:

the people in the relationship being headmates where one is seen as the embodiment of the fear (or other emotions) of the other

the people in the relationship identifying as the avatar becoming attached to the entity and gaining powers through that, however is possible for them

non-rose/tertiary attraction or altereffectis terms like ocellusaffectis, or terms like NVISS4NVISS

the entity shaping/reshaping the avatar

the entity being neovissives, terms in the the tma-inspired role system, or the avatar being dissoconnoarchivist, desirloneava or any similar terms

Higher Being+Chosen Mortal: a 16+ nichelink relationship/relationship dynamic where one person is the "higher being" and the other/s are the "chosen mortal."

"higher being" can be replaced with "deity," "god" or any other term that fits. this was inspired by the media trope of a deity/godlike character coming to earth and bonding with one specific mortal.

this may include, but is not limited to:

this is a wonderful term and i am happy it exists. i would like to offer "official" confirmation that nichelink and nichegroup fall into this category. thank you for making this word.

hellooo I wanted to propose an idea for a word to encompass a range of terms which are distinctly different but clearly have similarities. this is partially because I think it would be helpful for archival, partially because I’ve noticed people confusing separate things for miscecanis, and partially because I think it would be nice to have something unifying!

my proposed term is: sociarchy!

a combination of social and hierarchy!

so what exactly do socioarchies encompass? there are a few unique terms that have several similar characteristics floating around lately:

- specific roles/dynamics/archetypes

- lifestyle, practice, way of living (especially fiction applied to one’s lifestyle, not inherently but a common thread)

- hierarchical structure

- other qualities like group and relationship dynamics

one popular example of this is miscecanis, which is obviously based in omegaverse! other examples of these kinds of terms are pastryverse, fasieverse, slasherverse! these terms do not have to have a verse suffix but is another common occurrence

other terms, like archetrope and nichelink, may or may not fall under this umbrella, but there are definitely some shared characteristics or distinctive overlap in their practice for some

You do not have to use sociarchy as a term or an identity, nor is it meant to replace anything or put these terms in a box! I recognise that these terms have common characteristics and it may be beneficial for my initially stated reasons to have a word with which to refer to them!

I would love to hear your thoughts on this!
