Also, I’m taking a web accessibility course and have decided to start writing my own alt-text on Instagram as of today as often as I can to make my artwork more accessible — rather than relying on Meta’s AI to do it for me. If you use a screen reader, have a super slow internet connection or otherwise use the alt text, I hope these image descriptions make this drawing-a-day project more interesting. By the way, this is the tenth year of the project without missing a day! . This ecosystem is similar to coastal pine barrens found in New Jersey, Cape Cod and Long Island, but is different because it occurs inland. There are less than 20 examples of this habitat in the world. This is one of the best that remains.”
