shaming and making fun of people for still engaging in fandom activities once they reach a certain age is so embarrassing because why are you giving yourself an expiration date of time you have fun? why are you not-so-indirectly saying you will stop having fun once you reach a certain age? or do you really believe you have to stop engaging in fandom activities and having fun once you turn (x)? do you not think you will, what, live that long and turn that age too? do you think fun will suddenly stop for you and life will all of a sudden lose its meaning once you reach a certain age? how sad to be giving yourself an hourglass and just waiting for your time of having fun to run out.

adults can and should engage in fandom activities if it's what makes them happy.

adults can and should continue doing whatever they like doing as teenagers if it's what makes them happy.

age is just... part of life. it's a part of me and it's a part of you. shaming people for something you will have to go through (unless you don't think you will live that long) is such a loser behavior. indirectly saying you will stop having fun once you reach a certain age isn't the flex you think it is. it doesn't make you look "cool and edgy", it makes you look miserable.

Oh to get obsessed with something and recover my habit to draw because of it...

One of my only complaints about this movie is that Rumi should've gone feral. Big fan of characters with animalistic traits.

I've been 6 days with my medication, I do not want to go back to the hospital so soon.

I will lose my healthcare if I do not pay $105 before the 21st ends.

We owe money to the cornerstore owner and he won't let us buy anything else until we pay $86.

We have a $280 payment to make on the 23rd.

We do not have enough food, just 1 and a half kg of rice, we need veggies and protein for our diabetics and kids.

Anything extra will help us afford cleaning clothes, paying bills or affording living at this point.

I'm tired of crying all the time, I wish I didn't feel this hopeless.

Unpopular opinion but if you don't enjoy the process you should find a different thing to do.

And I think this is true in general but now I'm talking about it in the context of AI.

If you don't enjoy making art and only care about the end piece and how it'll look and how much traction it"lol get online then making art is not something for you, find something you enjoy from start to finish.

Same goes for writing: if you do not enjoy writing and rewriting and then some more and instead want AI to write for you, being a writer is not something you should pursue.

Sure, not every part of creative process is going to be equally enjoyable but you should get satisfaction from solving the problems along the way and you should get a sense of accomplishment on your way of "making the piece yours" and you should have a sense of ownership once you are done.

None of these things will come from typing in a prompt into chatGPT. And I am sad to see so many people are missing on the opportunity to experience the joy of making something with their own hands and brains.

Just give it a try and if you don't like it don't do it again.

But also don't let the expectations of it coming out perfect ruin the fun you are having while making the thing. Because what if I told you this: having fun while creating is the actual purpose of the creative process, not whatever comes out of it.

Please Help

I've been trying to avoid doing this, but I really don't have any other choice...

I'm in desperate need of help. I am unable to get or keep any job due to being disabled. I have been living unemployed and living off of Social Security Disability for the past 2 years. In March of 2025, my disability benefits were denied after reassessment. Mind you, I am permanently disabled and still very much fall under their rules for being disabled. I have submitted an appeal 4 months ago and it is still estimated to take another 5 or 6 months until a decision is made on it. As of June 2025, I stopped receiving any payment from the government. At the very beginning of June, I submitted a request for payments to continue while my appeal was being worked on. As of today, July 3rd, they have no made a decision on the reinstatement of payments until the appeal decision is made and gave no timeframe as to when they would be. I have rent and bills to pay. I need food to survive. I've been living off of a shoestring budget for the past month, and I desperately need some way to stay afloat until the payments can be reinstated. Anything helps... Reblogs are greatly appreciated if you can't donate yourself.

As of right now, I am desperately trying to find some way to make money so I don't have to rely on the kindness of strangers, but that will be a hard thing to do and an even harder thing to keep up with. I'm hoping that come next month, I can take down this GoFundMe page because I have either found a way to make money that will work for me or the government is paying me again.
