EF2 May Update: Farewell For Now!
Hello everybody! Welcome to the 5/31 update, the second May update, the final update before the update hiatus begins! And what have I accomplished since the first May update? Not a whole lot, honestly! Attending a large convention is fun but exhausting (Got a little con plague, too), so almost all of the energy I had left went toward working on commissions from etsy. No part of the Kickstarter budget included wages for my time working on the game, so unfortunately, I must still prioritize other work! Even so, ‘not a whole lot’ isn’t the same as ‘nothing at all’! Let’s look at last update’s goals:
Finish at least 3 of those Area 4 Backgrounds: This one didn’t happen. All the time I’ve been able to spend at my desk has gone into commissions this period.
Sketch some subprimary backgrounds for the areas already done: This one, however, did happen! I sketched all those subprimary backgrounds and even one of the backgrounds for Area 5. The wonders of the sketches being possible anywhere I bring my laptop…
So, that’s about it for now! As I explained in my last update, I have a very busy summer coming up, so I’ll be taking a break from making regular updates- But hopefully, I’ll come back with plenty of progress to share anyway!
I’ll leave you with this Artfight attack of Sharma by @fratboycipher ~Thank you, as always, for reading- And I’ll see you again by October!

EF2 May Update 1: Progress Bars and Hiatus Announcement
Hello everybody! That’s right, it’s time for the first May Update! Let’s jump right in with last update’s goals:
Sketch all 7 primary backgrounds left for Area 4: Done! They’re alllll sketched. Yay!
Add planned objekts into Area 3: Done!
Write Objekt Reactions for Munya and Sharma in Area 4: Done!
Maybe actually get those progress bars sorted out?: Done! And, here, let’s take a look at those right away!
Character Conversations: 10/590. These are the conversations between Ame, his allies, and other characters as experienced when choosing the dialogue option ‘Let’s Talk’. 590 may seem like a big number, but the ally conversations are counted twice- A convo between Ame, Bea, and Greta is listed once in Bea’s list and once in Greta’s list, it was just easier for tracking purposes to count them in both places than to weed out the duplicates.
Zones: 0/44. I haven’t made any strides in this regard yet. There are twenty-two zones total, each with separate tasks for the visual assets and the minigame implementation.
Backgrounds: 25/67. These are all the planned backgrounds for areas one through seven! What’s left includes most of Area 4, all of Areas 5 to 7, and a few secondary backgrounds for Area 1 and Area 2. Area 8 is excluded from the count, and will probably have its own progress bar down the line- While the majority of Pine Creek has some grounding in its map layout, Area 8’s necessary backgrounds will reveal themselves in the writing process.
Death Methods: 2/26. Have I even mentioned this mechanic before? There are thirteen ways Ame can die in the course of the game, and each one has an entry for its visual assets and for its code- The visual assets mainly being ‘achievement badges’ for a collection screen, though some will also include a CG! The two completed entries are for the code implementation of the two deaths in the demo: The bus crash, and provoking Veno.
Memory Segments: 14/20. I wrote a majority of these back in November! There’s a few left, some of which are already partially written. The rest of them aren’t a very high priority just yet, since we haven’t made it to the unlock conditions for most of them anyhow.
And to be perfectly clear- These bars only reflect specific factors with numbers I know so far- More bars will eventually be added, and I won’t include these progress bars during updates in which they have not changed. They don’t fully represent what’s been worked on up to now OR what will be included in the full game- For instance, not a single one of those ‘character conversations’ were included in the demo, conversation branches are a different and less-countable category. But they should give an idea of some part of progress and what’s being worked on at a given time moving forward!
And, when it comes to those progress bars- That’s what I’ll be focusing on very soon! The initial instances of running into each character are established for all but Area 4, and even those are coded in without assets yet. So, I’m in a very good position to shift focus to writing rather than asset creation for a while. And that’s exactly what I will be doing in…
~An Update Hiatus~
I know, I just switched from once-monthly to twice-monthly updates. And when I come back in either September or October (Depending on whether I decide to participate in the Spooktober Gamejam), that will resume. But truth be told, there’s a LOT happening this summer, including but not at all limited to tabling and paneling at conventions, moving to a different apartment, helping somebody ELSE move to a different apartment, and artfight of course. My attention… Is demanded in a lot of other places.
So, while I’ll 100% still be making progress on EF2 during this time, I’ve made the difficult decision for my sanity to let myself off the hooks involved in setting specific targets for specific timeframes. I’ll need to have the freedom to go two weeks without even looking in the direction of EF2 if I’m going to balance everything in the upcoming months. Official updates will be paused, though I’ll still be posting in the discord!
I’ll be back with plenty of good news when I do return from this break from structure- And the goals for the rest of May are still in effect. Let’s review those!
Finish at least 3 of those Area 4 Backgrounds
Sketch some subprimary backgrounds for the areas already done
I’ll be back on the 31st to let you know how that goes and say one more “goodbye for now”. Thank you, as always, for reading!

EF2 April Update 2: Housekeeping Accomplished!
Hello again! It’s time now for the second April update! We can get started right away with last update’s goals~
Finally generate progress bars to use in future updates: Didn’t happen! I knew I’d be away from home for a chunk of this update, and thought this line item would work well for that. Turns out I needed a lot more info from my main machine and paper notes than I realized. Instead, I used that time to draw some refs for the remaining CGss Shoii is working on.
Check in with any Kickstarter backer commissions left in the pipe: Done! Still working on figuring out the cameo backer tier with those individuals, but for all remaining commissions I either completed them or reached out for more information.
Draw a cute EF doodle for Easter: Done! This was posted to socials, but I’ll also include it in this update after this list!
Make a fun little character themes video for the cast of the Beloved Ghost DLC: Also done and posted to socials! This one will go at the end of the update.
Add Objekt Reactions for Renfield, Maude, and Prim in Area 3: Done! In fact, I also jumped ahead and put in the reactions for Greta in Area 4 too.
To elaborate a bit more on the progress bars- I’ve determined which numeral metrics to count for each category, to be able to share X out of Y progress, but it turns out I need to dive back into what I’ve coded so far along with my paper notes to actually count up those metrics. Just a data entry task that will at some point get done!
May’s updates will come on the 17th and the 31st - This has an extra weekend between now and the next update again, but since I’ll be attending Anime Boston on the 24th, I’d rather update on the 3rd and 5th Saturdays than the 2nd and 4th. So, what are the goals I’ll be tackling for this upcoming month?
For the next 3 week period:
Sketch all 7 primary backgrounds left for Area 4
Add planned objekts into Area 3
Write Objekt Reactions for Munya and Sharma in Area 4
Maybe actually get those progress bars sorted out?
And for what’s left of May: (Considering that I have work and Anime Boston going on between the two updates)
Finish at least 3 of those Area 4 Backgrounds
Sketch some subprimary backgrounds for the areas already done (There are still locations locked behind puzzles as far back as Area 1 that need drawing!)
Taking it a little easy in the latter portion of the month, but big plans for the start! And who knows, maybe the same thing will happen as this month, and I’ll have all the stretch goals done by the first update? Anything can happen! Thank you, as always, for reading. See you soon!

EF2 April Update 1: And That's Area 3!
Hello everybody! It’s time for the first April update! It’s been three weeks this time, since I pickthe dates based on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month and it turns out, March had an extra Saturday! And I’ve made good use of the additional time-
Let’s jump right into it with the last update’s goals:
Sketch remaining 4 backgrounds for Area 3 : Done!
Complete at least 2 of those Area 3 Backgrounds : Done!
Create a map for Tony’s Rides : Map is made (Pictured below- Worry not, the blurry edges are covered by the GUI) and Tony’s Rides are fully functional!
Implement all Objekt Reactions for Bea and Syoko in Area 2 : Done!
And the stretch goals for further in April, AKA this update’s goal list:
Complete Area 3 Backgrounds : Done!
Make travel throughout Area 3 Possible : Done!
Add characters into Area 3, if there’s still time: Also done!
That’s right, in a remarkable turn from the disappointments of March, I’ve actually already completed all of the goals I had laid out for the month of April~ It’s mostly good news, though part of the time I had to work on EF2 came about as a result of something unpleasant. On the etsy shop side of things, I was preparing to squeeze in one last order before the May 2nd Tariff date… Then they became even larger, and effective immediately, and I had to abandon those plans, and with them, several items on my to-do list! Here’s hoping that clears up at some point, but it’s great for EF fans at the moment, since it gives me no choice but to focus all my creativity here.
I have been advised to perhaps not make another list of goals for the rest of April and just take the early completion as a reward. But, I’ll still be trying to knock out a few other tasks by the 26th!
Finally generate progress bars to use in future updates
Check in with any Kickstarter backer commissions left in the pipe (All physical rewards were completed quite some time ago, so nothing to worry about in regards to the aforementioned tariffs, but there are a few digital ones left to square away!)
Draw a cute EF doodle for Easter
Make a fun little character themes video for the cast of the Beloved Ghost DLC
Add Objekt Reactions for Renfield, Maude, and Prim in Area 3
Basically, taking this opportunity to knock out some dev-adjacent stuff that’s fallen to the side while balancing my jobs, shop, and core game development… And yes, still making a little bit of progress on the game itself. Not as notable as usual, perhaps, but it has to be done sometime, may as well be while I’m ahead! And Area 4 can wait until June. Thank you, as always, for reading- And I’ll see you again on the 26th!

EF2 Development - Second March Update!
Hello everybody! If you’re on Kickstarter, this is the March update- Everywhere else, it’s the second March update! And as for what’s in the update? Well…
Not a whole lot, sorry. I have not been having a normal time in this two week period. Not a bad time! But not a normal one! Today as I share this update, it’s… My first day off since the last update. I had 5 days of work across my day jobs, a table at CTGamercon, then another 5. I should have had yesterday to work on EF2, but work the day before ended up being a total of thirteen hours with one shift left incomplete- I had to go to work, then back out to run another unexpected errand, all in all just a busy time with no real opportunity to buckle down and get stuff done.
For that reason, I again don’t have new official art to share, so let’s hear it for this piece of Maude from Vanitasium on ArtFight!
Even still, I was able to get a few things done in these two weeks. March has not been quite as excellent progress-wise as February ended up being, but every step gets us closer to release!
Here’s the goals for this time period:
Add Objekts into Area 2 : Did this! As per usual, there are a lot of Objekts that will probably end up being added later down the line, but everything that was definitely going into Area 2 is now implemented- Including the first objekt that goes through multiple iterations while taking up the same inventory slot! That might not sound like much, but I’m relieved it worked!
Sketch backgrounds needed for Area 3 : Sketched 2 out of 6! That leaves 4 to sketch in April. Technically, I started a third, but a ‘completed sketch’ for me is one that’s ready to begin lineart, and that one’s not there yet.
Create a map for the ‘Tony’s Rides’ function : Still haven’t gotten anywhere with this- I’ll carry the goal into April!
So, the goals before the next update on April 12th:
Sketch remaining 4 backgrounds for Area 3
Complete at least 2 of those Area 3 Backgrounds
Create a map for Tony’s Rides
Implement all Objekt Reactions for Bea and Syoko in Area 2
And some stretch goals for further in April:
Complete Area 3 Backgrounds
Make travel throughout Area 3 Possible
Add characters into Area 3, if there’s still time.
Laying out the upcoming goals, even struggling a bit through March, it’s clear that development is coming along! The year ahead is still full of uncertainty, but by taking so much time to build a framework, the actual implementation process is pretty swift- Not so swift that I’m confident deciding on a release date just yet, though. Even so, things are moving along. I’ll update again soon, and thank you for reading!

EF2 March Update 1: Area 2's Implementation!
Hello everybody! As promised, here’s the March 8th Update. That I couldn't actually get posted till early on March 9th, lol. I haven’t quite had the chance to generate my progress bars yet, but rest assured they would have filled up a good bit in these two weeks if I had! Oh, and while I don’t have any new official art to share with this update, here’s an artfight attack from Chaotic-Error to accompany it~
So, let’s take a look back at the previous list of goals!
Create the assets for and implement a Zone (Character-Thematic Minigame) for Area 1, so a piece of Evidence can be acquired with which to open Area 2 : Not completed, postponed. Realized I could use the developer console to skip this for now, and wait to implement all Zones to the fullest of my vision for them.
Make travel throughout Area 2 Possible : Done! You can traverse all of it!
Add characters into Area 2 : Also done! They don’t have much to say yet, but Bea and Syoko have both been placed into the environments for their first appearances.
So to sum up- I completed two goals and decided to leave the other off for a while now. Regarding Zones- I want to create each one with assets in a different art medium, and while I might have been able to pull something together in this dev cycle, I would rather take my time with these to pull off the idea.
So, instead I got started on some of the next objectives, which remain in play for the next two weeks!
Add Objekts into Area 2 (Sketched some of the objekts)
Sketch backgrounds needed for Area 3 (Sketched 2 of the 6!)
Create a map for the ‘Tony’s Rides’ function (Didn’t do anything with this yet!)
Moving along~ Nothing much else to report for now, so thank you for reading, and see you again in two weeks!

February Update: Month's Targets Exceeded! Onto The Next!
Hello! It’s time for the February update, and I’ve made lots of progress!
Let’s start things off by revisiting the goals I laid out a month ago:
Find the notebook where I wrote down location flowcharts. I somehow lost this in my apartment somewhere. I need to know the order of things! - I did, in fact, find this notebook! It was in a shelf, underneath my Kagamine Len Ita Bag.
^ Sketch the remaining BGs needed for Area 2, once I know exactly what I planned for those to be. - I sketched them! I then also lined, colored, and shaded them! All the backgrounds needed for Area 2 are ready to use!
Implement Area 1’s Pizzeria Minigame - This is the first place The Possum will appear~ - The minigame is implemented! You can make and receive a pepperoni pizza! You can also screw up making the pizza and get a consolation prize instead!
Add a GUI element showing which allies are currently recruited. - This is done! It only took about an hour!
So, as you can see, I didn’t just accomplish my goals for February- I exceeded them! Hurray! Area 2 is prepped to begin implementation. Besides this, I’ve also added another 7,000 words to the game since last time- Not even on writing full-blown scenes, just implementing more character reactions to being shown Objekts. There are currently 8 objekts fully implemented with methods to obtain them and inventory icons, and 9 more that are coded in with visuals in the works. Nowhere near all of them, but I’ll probably wait to add more to the list until I’ve written in the reactions for each character being added into Area 2. Best take things incrementally!
It won’t be very long till I update again on March 8th, but here are the goals I have for the next couple weeks:
Create the assets for and implement a Zone (Character-Thematic Minigame) for Area 1, so a piece of Evidence can be acquired with which to open Area 2
Make travel throughout Area 2 Possible
Add characters into Area 2
And some further goals to have done by the second March update, but which I’ll get started on if I finish the above:
Add Objekts into Area 2
Sketch backgrounds needed for Area 3 (Six more than I already have prepped or sketched)
Create a map for the ‘Tony’s Rides’ function
And that’s about it! March will mark the start of my updating twice a month for this game, so I’ll be talking to you again soon. Thank you for reading!

January Update: Talksprites Completed! Back To Coding!
Hello everybody!
It’s time for the January Update, and this month so far has definitely not been the greatest. On the fourth day of the year, I crashed my car in a parking lot because I pushed my limits too far work-wise, and I’ve had to spend a lot of time since then dealing with it. It’s pretty much sorted out now, but it’s been very stressful.
But even with that big complication in my daily life, I have some notable dev updates to share!
The talksprites are complete! You heard me- Every talksprite that I had planned now exists, and if any more end up needing to be drawn, I’ll cross that bridge when I get to it. But the 77 sprites are here! That represents 5 unique talksprites for each main character and 3 for each notable side character. I actually finished drawing these before 2025 began~
So, what have I been up to since the year started, besides dealing with my personal life? A whole lot, actually!
I haven’t tackled any further visual assets since completing the talksprites, but I’ve been very busy. With every talksprite available to me, I’m finally able to write with clarity- That’s taken the form of about 10,000 words more than were included in the demo, just for a start! And those 10,000 words just come from flights of fancy, moments where I felt immediately inspired to fill in the contents of functional code. Because functional code is most of what I’ve added!
Why did I need the talksprites done before approaching these code frameworks fully…? Well, I’m not exactly sure, but it definitely has been helping. The randomization process and the ally system are both fully coded in now! That’s right, we’ve broken out of the demo’s focus on Loop One. It’s now entirely possible to bring a friend along with you, die, then get a different friend! And everybody else in Area 1 will acknowledge the friend, too~
I have decided to slightly postpone upgrading from monthly updates to biweekly ones until after February, mainly because February is a short month in which I will be spending very little time in my own home, and I need to spend a portion of it stepping off to the side to work on my other main artistic venture- I have commissions to complete and some designs to finalize over in the Fan Niche. That’s my online shop, if you didn’t know, and you can buy Entropic Float merch there among plenty of other things!
Basically, I don’t expect to have enough done at two separate points of February to warrant updating- I’ll just update around the 20th again. But March? March will bring updates on the 8th and on the 22nd! And in the meantime, it isn’t like I expect to get nothing done in February overall. Here’s the goals I’ve got for the month ahead!
Find the notebook where I wrote down location flowcharts. I somehow lost this in my apartment somewhere. I need to know the order of things!
^ Sketch the remaining BGs needed for Area 2, once I know exactly what I planned for those to be.
Implement Area 1’s Pizzeria Minigame - This is the first place The Possum will appear~
Add a GUI element showing which allies are currently recruited.
Let’s see how that goes! I’ll keep you posted. As usual, you can find more frequent updates in the discord server, and thank you for reading!

Entropic Float 2: December Update!
Hello everybody!
It’s been a while since the last update. I did say you probably wouldn’t hear from me again until about now! October and November have come and gone, and with them, plenty of progress.
For October- I didn’t quite hit the goal that I set, of reaching a certain number of talksprites completed before the end of the month. I hoped to reach 80% of talksprites ready to go, but only made it up to 74% - In part because I misjudged how much time I had to begin with, and in part because I failed to account for certain days of limited access to my desktop computer. I completed 10 more sprites after the October update, not the hoped-for 15 more. Though, if it counts for anything, there are 3 more sprites which reached a partially-completed state before the month ended! We’re at a nice round 20 talksprites left to complete at the moment.
When it comes to November, I was able to accomplish exactly the goal I set out to- 50,000 words written, all of them for Entropic Float 2’s memory-seeking segments! This doesn’t represent every single memory by any means, but it does make a substantial dent. This month also brought with it some more partial progress, beginning while not yet completing several more visual assets in the few days between completing the NaNo challenge and November’s end.
What’s on deck for December? Well, there are holidays, and with them, several angles to consider. Working on gifts has already delayed me posting this update, in fact! It’s a busy season for an etsy shop, and time enjoyed with family is necessarily time spent away from the desktop computer on which the biggest steps in game development are made. So, I’d rather not commit to too many goals with an unpredictable month ahead! I’m hoping to finally get the EF2 demo onto steam and complete a few talksprites. Beyond that, I’ll surprise myself and you all with whatever I’m able to get done.
Oh, and going into 2025 - I’ll make the January update about halfway through the month, like this one, then in February begin making the same sort of biweekly updates as I did for the first game, including progress bars. These will mainly be across our various platforms, I’ll actually be easing off of updating on the Kickstarter page except for major developments. Enough of what EF2 needs is finally coming together enough to say “It’s this far along” in any meaningful way.
Thank you, as always, for reading. See you next time!

October Update- Spooky Bundles and Formalized Progress!
Entropic Float is featured once again in the Halloween Queer Stories Bundle- And if you haven’t grabbed yourself the Beloved Ghost DLC yet, it holds the elusive title as the one DLC in the bundle too! Support me and a whole bunch of other wonderful gamedevs with this mutual aid bundle, available at a suggested supporter price or a discounted price- Choose what you can afford! People both behind and included in this bundle were incredibly helpful with the Kickstarter nearly a year ago now, so show them some love!
On to the updates! When it comes to what I said I’d be getting done throughout September- I got the apparel photographed and posted, and the housekeeping updates pushed! These ended up basically being my September Update, since I shared the info about both at once. As for getting the EF2 demo onto steam- I made the small text edits necessary in the demo itself (as info about Kickstarter in the itch demo release is no longer relevant) but have yet to actually get it posted. Frankly, Steam confuses me at the best of times, it’s an intimidating task, and difficult to be motivated to overcome when the demo is and has been available on itch. We’ll get there.
Meanwhile when it comes to getting there, visual assets! While I’ve been working on them across the board for a while now, I finally had the opportunity to sit down and formalize the process a bit more. Up to now, I’ve been balancing in a lot of directions, and as a result, have just been fitting in what work I can. A lot of progress has been made without taking time to set up a way to measure that progress- So I can now say that we have 60% of planned talksprites completed! Here are a few of the latest ones.
Since talksprites will be used throughout the entire game, not having them all yet has served as the biggest roadblock to making proper progress on the game itself… That and everyday life of course, but point being, the more talksprite sets I finish the quicker implementation will go. While progress may look different than I expected it would based on my experience with the first game, I would still say that development is on track! It’s just on a different track than I realized it would be on. All is well!
My hope is to get up to at least 80% talksprites before the end of the month- That’ll be fifteen more, which isn’t a very daunting number if it’s the main thing I’m working on in my free time! All of my weekends this month are accounted for by some extra work I’ve picked up, but I have my ways of squeezing art in. I might not make another update until late November, but if you join the discord, I share all but the most spoilerific talksprites there as I finish them!
And what does November hold? Well, despite NaNoWriMo as an institution making some questionable decisions as of late… I’ve been participating in the event for over ten years and it’s become an important part of my creative process, so while I’m unlikely to track it on the official website this year- I’ll be writing. Memory seeking segments, to be specific, since those don’t use talksprites anyway! 50,000 words or more in the month of November, that’s still my goal. And that’s all for now!
Thank you for reading, and look forward to more big strides in development coming up!

9/15/2024 Patch Notes and Merch!
First off- Merch is here! If you missed your chance to support development during the EF2 Kickstarter and you’ve already picked up the Beloved Ghost DLC, this is another great option. There are still some extras of the physical rewards from Kickstarter- Keychains, standees, pins, and plushies- but more pressingly, there’s new apparel!
Until now, the only Entropic Float apparel available was through Print-On-Demand. Redbubble and TeePublic can be very useful tools, but the print quality to cost ratio isn’t always the best, and this new collection has more than simple logo tees. You’ll be able to pick up…
Entropic Float Logo T-Shirt, available as a polyester-spandex blend comfort tee or cotton tee. This design simply features the logo on a black shirt, with a purple collar and sleeves in the comfort tee version.
Renfield Future Tour Comfort Tee, based on the fictional band appearing in Beloved Ghost and the upcoming Entropic Float 2. A light blue shirt with black sleeves, featuring the band’s logo on the front and an assortment of Entropic Float related tour locations on the back.
Shrimps Is Bugs Comfort Tee, the very same design that Touko Nozomi wears during The Tale Of The Secret Knowledge in the DLC. A gray shirt with pink sleeves and a cute shrimp graphic!
Kanatsun Pajama Pants- Black pants with large purple stars! Also a polyester-spandex blend. Wear at home for comfort. Wear out of the house to… Be judged for your fashion sense just like Kanatsun, probably. Has pockets and a drawstring!

Some fun stuff! Of course, I’m always open to suggestions for new items if there’s a specific piece of Entropic Float apparel your heart yearns for. The manufacturer I work with offers a lot of variety, so don’t be afraid to ask! I just get decision paralysis and end up designing for the same clothing types that I’ve had good experiences with before, rather than thinking of something to design for a new shape. I’d be happy to do so on your behalf!
Now, on to the actual update log:
Modified statement following the post-credits scene. The game now mentions the DLC, explaining how to access it if you already own it, and that you can purchase it if you don’t.
Not in-game, but the steam page now properly directs to the DLC as well.
Found and fixed a few more errors in the text.
Beloved Ghost DLC Changes:
Changed the colors of several name badges to improve legibility.
Added more responses to both ‘player conversation’ sections.
Found and fixed a few more errors in the text here as well.

Just another little reminder outside of a big long update- there are still some extras left from the EF2 Kickstarter’s physical rewards! Apparel is coming soon, but ships for free from a different location than these, so it’s up to you if you want to order all at once or get your trinkets a bit early~ etsy

August Update- Making Progress, More To Come!
Well- July got away from me, but I did warn you all that could happen... Turns out that working two part-time jobs, running a small business, and near-solo developing a game all at once can be tough to juggle, who knew? (I knew, that's why I've been upfront about it all.)
Even so- Falling short in the project manager portion of indie development, with no July update, doesn't mean that I'm falling short in other areas! Here we have a portion of the sketches I've been putting together for some Objekts and CGs…
And some talksprites since the last update…

And, what the heck, how about a preview for one of shoii's CGs?? (Speaking of shoii, if you didn't hear, they've switched twitter accounts to "shoeechee")

Progress continues to be made~ In addition to keeping up the new art, there are a few specific tasks I have on deck for September. Photographing and making available the new apparel line, finally getting the EF2 demo up on steam, and pushing some housekeeping updates to various platforms. Nothing too exciting, but after a summer like this one, it needs to be done!
Until next time! Thank you, as always, for reading!

Hello! I just wanted to say thank you for having chronic fatigue specifically in entropic float, cause that was my first exposure to it, and after a fair bit of research: it would explain a lot.
WE GOT ANOTHER ONE

Okay, jokes aside- For as frequently as this seems to happen, it never stops being amazing for me. Creating Entropic Float was, for me... An exploration of disabled experiences, during the worst and most prolonged flare-up of chronic conditions I have had in my life to date. It didn't begin that way when I went into it, but really, had no option but to become that kind of story.
Disability is an odd and difficult journey, one that in a lot of ways, can strangely mirror being queer- And which is tied up in a lot of the same issues, fights, and legislations. Self-determination, bodily autonomy, access to medical care. But strongly, I feel that both have the similar phenomenon of 'There isn't more of it now, there's just more ways to find it now'. For every individual who has 'always known' they are gay or trans, there may be four others who only realize it after observing others, or learning that the vocabulary exists.
Likewise, abled people want to believe that all disabilities are major and obvious- To the extent that many are 'simplified' to make abled society understand. To be blind is to be completely unable to see (even though many blind people have vision, it's just not vision that allows movement through abled society). To be in a wheelchair is to be completely unable to move your legs (even though it's a mobility aid that assists in many different disabilities). To abled society, the disabled need to say "can't" where the real meaning is "shouldn't", because if it's just "shouldn't" they will be doubted and pushed. That we all, in disabilities both invisible and visible, so frequently need to fight to find the truth and have it acknowledged under these misconceptions. (And the whole other story that is fighting to keep respect when we are acknowledged.)
I want Entropic Float to continue being this kind of eye-opener, to help disabled people realize that they do in fact have a disability. That it isn't 'this hard for everybody', that it's not that 'everyone experiences this'. That the ways you've managed to move through life in spite of the difficulties aren't what's normal, and that it's amazing that you've managed this long, but now that you have the words- I hope you can give yourself grace and accommodation. It's important that we all can.
