hey! sorry if you know this already but i figured it would be worth it, i was looking at your goodreads and saw duncton wood on there and theyre very good books but also advanced TW for sexual assault, i wasnt expecting it when i read the book and it caught me very off guard

Tbh I'd love a Goodreads page even if it takes you ages to read them just because what you've already drawn was awesome and also gave me some awesome new books. I'm so glad I was able to grab a copy of Feline Wizards after seeing your drawings of it!

Will you only be doing characters from books, or will you draw characters from other mediums (movies, comics, etc) as well?

I will probably stick to books because I have a lot more fun designing characters based on written description instead of ones who already have drawn designs yknow? I'm totally open to books that have movie adaptations and such though, Watership Down is next on my list actually

We might be completely incorrect but my partner and I hc that their names are cat sounds, especially rhiow and urruah honestly all of them

I think that's what exactly the author was going for! The cat language in the book is supposed to be based on sounds that cats could actually pronounce, they even have loanwords that are bastardized cat pronunciations of english words lol

two Questions!! 1. Will you do the erins other

books, Survivors, seekers, Ect.

2. These cats seem more….realistic? They almost have a majestic kinda look to. Is there a reason for this, while your warrior desgins are kinda more, cartoonish almost?

( I don’t mean that in a bad way, it’s just what I noticed)

1) Nah, I probably won't lol. The huge universe and the fact its cats are the main selling points of Warriors to me, I'm not really interested in the other Erin Hunter series

2) I would agree! That was partially a deliberate choice and partly subconscious. I didn't care about making them animation friendly like a lot of my Warriors designs so I kinda went all-out, also the cats in Feline Wizards ironically feel much more like "real" cats to me than Warriors behavior-wise which comes through in my drawings

what is feline wizards about? I've never heard of it but it must be pretty good if youre drawing it!

The premise is exactly what you would think based on the title LOL, it’s about cats living in NYC who are wizards and can do magic, and are in charge of maintaining wizard portals in grand central station. It’s a trilogy but I’ve only read the first one The Book of Night With Moon (the trilogy is a spin-off of the Young Wizardry series which is about the human wizards, which I also haven’t read). I was honestly expecting to get bored of the magic/science fantasy elements bc that’s not really my thing but I actually enjoyed it. I really loved the characters and the way the author writes about cats too

Tailchaser's Song was published in 1985 so I would say Warriors is the ripoff lol
