Misconception about Japanese as a boyfriend

The common image of a Japanese as a boyfriend is that they're cold, don't go out that much, hate messages and cannot express their self. But not all of them are like that. In fact, my boyfriend is the opposite of everything mentioned above so I could prove to you that you shouldn't judge them from somebody's perspective. Like for example, my boyfriend when I first met him until now that we are dating, he keeps on texting me good notes. He never left me read and looks for me if i failed to answer his texts cos he got worried sometimes. Next, he always plans our weekend together. I mean we barely see each other during weekdays because even tho we both live in Tokyo, we live very far from each other and have work. You might see it as an excuse but I actually prefer not meeting often on weekdays because it will only drain and makes us even more tired.

Like imagine whenever we meet on weekdays after work, our would we like this: meeting at 7:30-8pm, then finishing eating at 9, going to cafe and finish at 10pm now we both have to travel 1 hr again to go home and wake up really early for work the next day. So that's why we meet only on Friday-Sunday. Sometimes we do meet on weekdays when his next day is remote work so he's the one going near my house so i won't get tired after we ate or something. See how thoughtful he is.

My First Cinema Experience with my Japanese boyfriend

Yesterday, we watched Cell at Work Movie at Toho Cinema Shinjuku. It's such a good movie cos it includes comedy, drama, action, and romance. It was my first cinema experience with Yoshi. He booked the tickets and I just pay my part when we met at the station. I don't know if that's really how it works here as couple in Japan but I don't have any problem with it. I appreciate how he plans our dates and makes it work to spend time with me. We arrived 10mins earlier than the reserved time so we managed to bought drinks in the convenient store cos it's much cheaper then bought popcorn at the theater. Yes, that's a life hack. You'll save like 300yen for drinks. Anyway, before the movie started I told him that I was worried if I could understand the whole movie when it's all in Japanese. He assured me saying that when there's part I couldn't understand he will try to explain to me.

During the movie, I want to somehow be close to him but he's too focused on watching so I distant myself a bit and didn't bother him. When I did that he put his one hand on my lap and like magnet I got closer to him again. As we continue to watch the movie, I can't stop gazing over him and looking at his side profile. I don't know, it feels like I'm getting drown for being in love with this guy. And then, whenever I did that and catch me looking him, he will looks me back and melts me with those loving eyes.
