something something omori au

(god, i should really finish one of my drawings, all i do are sketches)

for real though, this is a doodle for my third main omori au, which i've been calling the black eye au, but i haven't decided the actual name

basically, sunny and mari lived in another place so the friend group never happened, some spooky stuff happens with them when they were younger which leads to sunny sharing his body with a apparition/ghost/whatever (omori)

sunny eventually uses his new-found powers to become an exorcist and, by the time he is 15/16, he is called to deal with a supernatural event messing up with a small town (faraway town)

during his time in the town, he ends up meeting the rest of the cast, who end up getting involved with the supernatural shit going on

as for the drawing itself, this "scene" would take place after sunny meets kel (aka saves him from being killed by a ghost), sunny is telling him to not mention any of the past events to anyone else (also sunny doesn't really care for kel at this point, but they become better friends later)

oh yeah, fun fact: sunny is transmasc here, so you may notice he is wearing a ribbon instead of a tie (story takes place in the early 2000s in a small christian town, he's not having a great time ;C)

(btw i made this au after reading toilet-bound hanako-kun, so that's my main inspiration for it)

"Sunny After All" is a remake of an AU from 2023, basically just a take on an Omori sequel

"Hime" is a role swap AU I've posted about recently where Aubrey is in Sunny's role

"The Lady from Room 143" is a weird take on the Omari AU I've been developing for a while but never posted about

I'm slowly learning how to draw these guys and have found a new problem, hands (but honestly i'm not good at drawing those in any style lol)

Also I think he isn't tall enough? Idk he's supposed to be like a head taller than Sunny or smth

Sunny after the good ending! Still depressed and socially anxious, but at least he has his friends back... after they recovered from the shock of the truth.

I'm trying to get used to drawing these characters correctly, I don't think it looks quite right yet, but I'm getting there!

making some concepts for the au, which is now called "HIME"

i've been thinking that instead of becoming a hikikomori, aubrey would leave her old friends after basil's death (who is mari in this au) and join a new friend group (which would be the hooligans, but they wouldn't be called that in this au), basically what happens in the original omori but aubrey actively choosed to leave the others

so instead of dreaming about adventures with younger versions of her and her old friends, aubrey dreams about adventures with her new friends (+being more like a dnd-based rpg)

that is, until she re-meets her old friends and remembers about basil's death, after that, the dream world would start to change, aubrey would be turned into a younger version of herself and have to traverse a darker version of the rpg world she created in her own mind, but now she isn't a hero destined to save the world, but actually a damsel in distress trying to piece out what happened in her past

the actual events that lead to basil's death will be explained when i finish more stuff for the au

also, the real world takes place during fall/winter, not that important, really just a thematic choice, since these seasons don't have many flowers and basil is, well... dead

also i'll use this design for an omori au i was planning for a bit so i'll probably make another post soon with a description and her "omori" alter ego
