Reset Rocket’d

Hello, tumbling people (again)!

Yes, I’m sure you’ve heard about what’s happening with the other website.

I’ve been neglecting posting there for a couple of reasons, as well as personal life, such as the lack of free time. Mostly the latter, since I couldn’t get anything done in time and all I could do was promise I’d resume posting consistently later. But that didn’t happen… (sorry!)

Moving on! I’m placing my bet on this very website. It has all the features I wish Twitter had, honestly. Specifically scheduling, tagging and turning old posts private, which is what I’ll do for this blog, meaning you’ll still have access to the post if you have the link to it! (And also because I feel finicky about my old art…)

Also, unlimited character goodness, which means I could type virtually anything in one single post! Bai-bai, 280 character limit. Even though it’s fun to type all of this, I won’t do it for every single post. Mostly.

And finally, thank you all who supported my art over the years on Twitter and, recently, here. To anyone new: thanks for visiting! Here’s hoping I can make a good gallery out of this…

Egg changeup. I have no idea why this popped into my head when I saw the Smash Ultimate artwork, but it came. So here it is

Funnily enough, when I made this at the time, it was a sort of start to this trend of making outfits for Yoshi here and there. I think this was partially because I always really liked Yoshi's look in Strikers and sorta wished they kept that tradition for other spin-offs down the line.

Nintendo never really did until, surprise, Strikers Battle League for the Switch, but I'm glad I could cover that drought for myself, haha

I won’t lie, Mario’s new movie design had me doing a double take. Been waiting all week to draw this! x3 🍄

While exploring ideas that would demonstrate Mario’s incredible strength, I came up with a little scenario in which a wild chain chomp would crash through the castle’s garden, wrecking havoc and very nearly injuring Peach in the process. The raging beast would be stopped (and effectively calmed down) by the courageous plumber, who would then rush to the princess’ side in a panic, immediately inquiring about her well-being. 

Mario would have no idea that he just achieved an impossible feat; nor would he remotely know that this first ever rescue would become the pivotal moment where Peach irrevocably fell in love with him. 💞
