» • * — ( SHAWN MENDES , CISMALE , HE/HIM ) . i think i hear BEST FRIEND BY REX ORANGE COUNTY coming from APARTMENT 304 . doesn’t NIKO ACOSTA live there ?? i heard they are a TWENTY-ONE year old ACTOR from LONG BEACH, CALIFORNIA , but they’ve been living in the apartments for ONE YEAR . they come across a bit - SHY AND - SELF-CONSCIOUS , but they also seem like they could be + COMPASSIONATE AND + THOUGHTFUL . whenever i see them , i think of BEAR HUGS, GENUINE SMILES, & FLUSHED CHEEKS . 

nikolo acosta was born in long beach, california; the third child to dr. rachel & gio acosta. he mostly grew up around his two older sisters who would babysit him while their parents were working day & night shifts at the local children’s hospital. they’d often dress him up like their own personal ken doll and pull pranks on him but when shit hits the fan, they’re the first ones to drop everything and run to his aid.

being the son of two pediatricians, his parents never really understood what had drawn him to the  theatre, but they attended his school plays and accompanied him to casting calls anyway. they wanted to be supportive in any way they could, even though they never got the appeal of hamilton, or dear evan hansen.

on his twentieth birthday, niko moved to nyc to chase his broadway dreams. he landed some ensemble roles in off-broadway musicals & recently got his big break as an understudy for fiyero on broadway’s wicked. he’s been living in apt 510 for about a year now and tries to get along with his neighbors as much as he can.

personality wise, he’s just a total sweetheart. he loves his friends and will often greet them with a giant hug. he’s extremely thoughtful and will often buy donuts or hot chocolate for his friends when they’re having an awful day. he’s a little shy and self-conscious at times, opting to sit alone at parties because he’s afraid he’d be too boring.

“don’t worry, i’m not about to just strip down and give you an anatomy lesson,” she teased when she noticed him step back slightly. georgie did just find herself taking a step forward though almost instinctively.

her head tilted, resting against the hand on her shoulder as she smiled sweetly up at him. “i just had a couple drinks, niko…” she started, about to go on a tangent about how she can do what she want and is a free women, but another hiccup cut her off and that was enough for her to just say fuck it. instead of speaking, she just continued to hold his one hand and then grabbed the other from her shoulder so she was holding both. leading him to the bedroom, she shut the door behind her before finally letting his hands go. “since you won’t go on the roof with me, the least you can do is sleep in the bed with me so i don’t get cold,” georgie watched him for a moment without speaking. after a few seconds, her hands hovered by the hem of her shirt, second guessing how he would feel about her just stripping down to her undergarments.

“do you have a shirt i could borrow?” she asked, hands falling from the bottom of her shirt and instead, she began to take her shoes off. georgie messed with her pants next, shimmying out of them and tossing them to the side so she was left in her underwear and shirt. “are you… uncomfortable with this?” she asked, showing more concern for how he felt than she had anyone else in a long time. it was fun making him blush though… “if you have another pair of those boxers, i can put those on if they will make you more comfortable,” she smirked, walking back over to him and staring up at him, “i like when your cheeks get like that… innocent.”

niko was pretty sure he was going to pass out when georgie’s pants dropped to her ankles. he’s never even seen a woman in her underwear in person before...unless you count his college’s production of spring awakening. “i don’t think sleeping beside me is a good idea when you’re in this state, georgie.” he mused, walking to his wardrobe. 

he opened his closet, taking a plain white shirt and gym shorts in his hands. “okay, i have these. let me know if they fit.” he murmured, grabbing a pair of shorts for himself. “do you, um. need help putting them on? i could help. i won’t peek though...” he sputtered while slipping on his own gym shorts.

unfortunately for lorrie, when she blushes, its splotchy as fuck and incredibly noticeable. she clears her throat, pretending like niko’s pat on the shoulder didn’t affect her that much. affection was a weird thing to receive, she supposed, even now. “thank you,” she says, “i saw it in the store and i was like, wah, i need it, y’know?” she clamps her mouth shut, trying not to cringe internally.

lorrie presses her lips together, eyes flickering back to her door. “uh, i’m… i mean, i actually already ate,” she lies, “and i’m, i’m super fucking tired. thank you for the, uh, invitation, but i think i’m just gonna go to bed. um,” she slips the jacket off, taking her keys out of the other pocket. “but if it’s, if it’s really no trouble, i’d love it if you could get my coat fixed.”

niko took the coat in his hands, his hand dropping to his side. he always wanted to hang out with lorrie but she never seemed interested. whenever he’d invite her up however, she’d turn him down... unless of course, she wanted some of the cookies he brought home.

“hey, it’s no problem.” he smiled, slinging her coat over his shoulder. “my invite still stands, if you wanna grab some dessert i still have a bunch of cookies in the pantry,” he winked.

the confession was shocking, and she could only assume that he hadn’t done anything. it wasn’t like he was repulsive. quite the opposite actually. fingers ran along the material of the couch as she watched him return back to the couch and she sat up some in order to reach the glass. “do you think those count?” she questioned, leaning towards him with a quizzical raise of her brow. “have you never seen boobs? or anything? a dick? besides your own,” she giggled, finally bringing the glass to her lips to drink some of the water as she was instructed to.

“rome isn’t going to answer.. he’s probably not home, or has a girl over. i’d rather stay here anyways,” georgie stood up, placing a hand on the table in order to steady herself before standing up completely straight. “what? you don’t want to share a bed with me, niko?” she pouted playfully. “i don’t have cooties. i promise. scout’s honor,” she said, bringing up her hand in a boy scout’s salute.

she finished off her glass of water quickly, hiccupping shortly afterwards as she placed the glass down. “just because you haven’t seen things before doesn’t mean i haven’t,” she teased, reaching her hands down to grab his to pull him up with her, “come on. i want to go to the roof. i drank my water like a good girl. please,” she batted her lashes, pouty lips as she looked up at him. “plus it’s warmer tonight. you won’t even need to put clothes. and no one will be up there.”

niko’s eyes widened, as he took a tentative step back. “i, uh. i’ve never seen um, those.” he choked, looking away as he held onto a floor lamp to steady himself. she was definitely intoxicated. girls have come on to niko in the past, but definitely not like this. 

the thought of georgie sharing a bed with him made his head spin as she teased him mercilessly. he cleared his throat, putting a gentle hand on her shoulder. “georgie, it’s late and you’re not yourself tonight.” he said earnestly, “maybe you should turn in for the night. you can take my bed, i just washed the sheets.” he said nervously, her hands still resting in his.

ruth puts her hand on her forehead in a dramatic swoon at niko’s wink, giggling as she falls back onto the couch with the motion. “wow, i’m for sure keeping it then. just call me avocado tits.” ruth makes no move to take the bra off as she gets back off the couch again, the leather of the thing sticking to her unpleasantly with the motion and reminding her that they’re probably gonna have to hose the thing down. “i mean, sorry to the barista who forgot this little gem here, but i’m different so it’s mine now.” ruth sighs as she moves to pick up the broom again, sadly but pretty efficiently sweeping up the mess of streamers from the party into a trash bag on the floor even as she jokingly pretends to brighten. “so you’re telling me we’re gonna probably be eating naked guy dead skin flakes for the foreseeable future? yum! i’m definitely gonna eat off those counters now! i want a little piece of that naked guy to be with me forever. that’s the dream.” ruth’s eyes are dancing with silent laughter as she turns to niko and says, “i promise i won’t okay? thank you papa niko for taking care of me.” she playfully puckers her lips to make kissing noises at niko for a few moments before she’s sighing and nudging more streamers into the garbage bag. “although i will say it might be easier just to burn the whole counter and replace it with one of those surfboards with naked ladies on them. i’m just saying.”

“okay, avocado tits, come help me decontaminate the rest of the kitchen.” niko grinned, grabbing a bottle of lysol and a rag from the closet. “we don’t need to burn the whole thing, ruth. papa niko is on the case.” he winked, spraying the contaminated counter top. he winced as his eyes caught the sweaty outline of a butt on the surface of granite. “you know, i don’t even know where that naked guy came from. did you invite him?” he questioned, wiping down the counter before tossing the rag into the bin. “i wonder if he even lives in this building.” 

niko opened the bathroom door, throwing his hands in the air in frustration. “okay, either a hurricane blew through our medicine cabinet or someone definitely hooked up here.” he said, picking up bottles of shampoo off the floor. “of all places, why the bathroom? people are sick.” he grumbled.
