I've been doing a lot of thinking about my family and how I was treated as a child, and honestly, my father has never seemed more amazing in my eyes.

I used to love Luigi(Mario's brother) when I was little. Like, he was my favorite character ever, and I had multiple plushies of him. Didn't give a fuck about Mario, vaguely tolerated Peach, but I loved Luigi.

On my first day of kindergarten, my dad gave me the number for his work phone and said it was Luigi's phone number. "If anything happens at school, call Luigi."And not even twenty minutes into my first day, I was having a panic attack. So I went down to the principal's office and called "Luigi."

Now, at the time, my father was in a meeting with his manager and his supervisor, along with most of his coworkers. And when I called, he picked up before he even left the room.

And he put on a very awful Italian accent and said, "Itsa me, Luigi! Whatsa the matter?"In front of his boss and coworkers. Without telling them what was going on. So they were absolutely bewildered, and he carried on like they didn't even exist. He only explained what was happening after I had calmed down and hung up, to which most of them responded with "Aww, cute."

I continued to call him whenever I got upset at school, and eventually his coworkers got in on it. I distinctly remember one of them impersonating Toad. I don't know why I'm telling you this, I just thought it might make you smile :)

As fellow nostalgic Playstation kids know, Sly Cooper is the story of a master raccoon thief on a journey to save the world and avenge his family's murder--- aided by his "found family" Bentley the Turtle and Murray the Hippo, but thwarted(?) by the dogged Inspector Carmelita Fox.

One of my favorite things about the original games is how Sly has a very unhammy, "normal" voice performance. Rather than being a stereotypical Goofy PlayStation Mascot with A Huge Personality, he's a suave little guy who takes his wacky crime world very seriously. I love it. Anyway, I spent a lot of time fiddling with the facial expressions trying to capture that energy.

Thinking about Robert Sugden, who was taught by his own father that the best thing he can do for the people he loves is get out of their life.

Thinking about that Robert Sugden seeing his son for the first time in the hospital and immidiatly trying to leave town so Seb can have a better life.

Thinking about that Robert Sugden faced with a life sentence for protecting his baby sister and and cutting the people he loves most out of his life. Because seeing him in prison will destroy them. (Because he does not want to become a burden because they are better without him.)

Thinking about that Robert Sugden being told by the only two living people who he loves that they don't want him to come back home. That they moved on. That he will be a burden in their new lives.

(Thinking about him going anyways. Not to get them back but only because he thinks they are in danger. And if nothing else he can protect them.)

Re reading the original hunger games is so funny bcus katniss can literally read haymitch's mind like what. I'm dying of thirst but haymitch hasn't sent me water, that must mean that there's some nearby!! And one kiss is one pot of broth!! Like she even acknowledges that it's strange when she's like oh to peeta this would just be a pot of broth. Haymitch will give her one look and katniss knows immediately what he means and she's right every time

Meanwhile peeta is like your dress really suits you and you look nice :) and katniss is like he's trying to kill me
