Hey there! It's Ninjago Creators Anonymous. When you start conceptualizing a piece, what comes first?

For writing - thinking about ideas for writing comes easily to me, but it's fleshing out the story and actually writing it that's the hard part. Like in my mind, I can still remember entire plots of stories I made up when I was barely a teen. After I get my basic idea, I like to imagine how it ends before I do anything with the middle or even the beginning. From the end, I decide "well how did it come to this?" and I make plot points, like struggles and gains/losses. Then after all that I make the beginning, where I figure out what things were like before it all happened. I know it sounds a little backwards, but at least this way I don't start things without knowing how it ends!

For drawing - poses. I don't even know what character I want to draw, but it starts with a pose I think is cool. Then I decide what character fits the pose, and then after drawing the lines and coloring it in, I decide on lighting and shading, then add a background that makes sense.

Hello! Ninjago Creators Anonymous here 🥰 Are there any features or traits that are constant throughout your ocs? What about traits that are vastly different?

OKAY I haven't answered these in a while SO I'll start now lol

What is the same? Well, I have a lot of different traits, and all of my OCs get a little part of me. Most of it is physical stuff, like one of my OCs has asthma, making it hard for him to exercise as much as his peers, and another one is constantly nibbling at food yet never eats a big meal.

What is different? None of my OCs, except for the quadruplets, look alike in any way. Even then, the quadruplets look a bit different from each other. It's rare for me to draw, but I like making everyone look different.

i genuinely believe that all the ninjas elements have side effects, for example,

kai; burn scars

nya; needs to drink more water than the average needed amount

jay; electricity burns/scars (that look like lightning bolts around his arms)

cole and lloyd; heavy exhaustion and dizziness

zane; sometimes his element is a little bit too cold and it messes with his gears

morro; also exhaustion and dizziness but also if he overuses it causes panic attacks due to the air getting out of his lungs

The Mark Cuban Cost Plus Drugs Company (MCCPDC) is a registered pharmaceutical wholesaler and purchases drugs directly from manufacturers, bypassing middlemen to lower the price of more than 100 medications, it said in a statement.

For example, the leukemia drug imatinib is priced at $47 a month on MCCPDC compared to the $9,657 retail price.

Cuban told Forbes last year the pricing for generic drugs was “ridiculous.” He said he decided to put his name on the company to “show capitalism can be compassionate and to send the message I am all in.” It’s not clear how much he had invested in the company.

- different sorts of curly hair

- braids in different styles

- dreads

- glasses

- eyebags

- more skin tones, the fact that we have top picrews one (1) skin tone is insane

- multiple shades of brown eyes (light brown and dark brown eyes look so different I’m suprised yall group them together)

- plus size options

- heterochromia (for the Mary Sue ocs)

- piercings

- painted nails

- hearing aids

also these are personal preference but

- pride flags in the background/ as badges (I saw one a few weeks ago that let me have autistic genderqueer and demisexual and fell in love)

- shirts with silly slogans

- option that lets you have boba in your hand in all different colours

- those colour filter things at the end that make it all look more cohesive

one of my favorite things about fanfiction is how many writers don't necessarily consider themselves fans of the original work. lots of writers just saw the movie or read the book and were like "that was unsatisfying but now I have yet another canon to fuck around with"

I feel a bit conflicted about the outdoor cat discours. Yes I understand how dangerous it sometimes can be and all, but we had my cat as he was already an adult and only lived in an appartement before. He was initially supposed to stay only for a few days so was kept closely inside (which was already kind of hard) but became in love with the ability to walk through a window as soon as he found one and my mother didn't have the heart to keep him inside despite his will.

I think it's important to know that we also have a dog that is allowed to go in the garden as he pleases, the cat loves to sit beside my mum when she is gardening, and his area doesn't reach the road. (He always stops in the middle of the pathway when we leave and cries because he can't follow us)

I don't feel like even trying anything different for this cat because he us too old now, but if ever m'y parents have another cat later, should we really try to do anything for it to stay indoors ? Or use this "garden only" arrangement ok ? If the first, any tips on how it could be archives without physically restricting the cat ?

Even if you say you understand that cats should be inside, but still let your cat outside unsupervised and unrestrained, then you dont understand. Its not a matter of sometimes dangerous. Its always dangerous.

If you want to take your cat outside, get a harness. Age does not exclude your cat from this decision. Even old cats can be trained. If you dont want to do that, then you need to invest in cat proof fencing, a catio, or an outdoor play area.

Keep your cats inside.

Toxic masculinity that demands men pursue women, but rejects all things feminine as like an off-limits nuclear waste site is such a double-bind for them dudes. They are inventing like fakescience Alpha-Beta male gospel and negging and all sorts of nonsense when the owners manual is right there.

Women are obviously not a monolith and this doesn’t apply to all of them but thousands of them write and consume romance novels every year– a genre 95% written by women for women. It has what they want from a man right in the text. It’s also a vast genre with every kind of story and some excellent writing and gems in it once you get past your own internal bias. 

And every one of them has some version of what women want. It’s not that hard, there is literally no mystery there. But men can’t read romance novels without feminizing themselves and they can’t figure out what women want until they take an interest and ask questions. So here we are.
