Where you can ask questions about my Ancient AU and the lore within!

My Loz Ancient AU is focused on the hero 10 000 years before BotW and the one we meet as the Ancient Hero's Aspect in Totk. I explore my take on his lore (like how he is a total tech nerd XD) and the time he lived in, along with his friends (like Ancient Zelda, who is very different from your average Zelda).

I have so many thoughts and ideas built up this past year, but since I can be very slow at art (and posting it), I haven't been able to share much of it. Only a few art works and comics.

But I really want to share more of my AU and my thoughts behind it. So I thought "why not a fun QnA?"

I'll try awnsering with some art if I can (if I even get any questions at all (¯―¯٥)).

You can directly ask my characters (The Ancient Hero or Ancient Zelda (or others)) or me (Ninma)! Or you can just yeet the question and I respond with what feels best.

You can ask almost anything. It can be about the lore, the characters, the world itself or something silly like "who would you want as a lawyer?" (Yes, I have a fun awnser to that XD).

I might be slow to awnser, but I'll try not taking forever.

The ancient Hero and ancient Zelda in Echoes of Wisdom style!

The appearance of Molly is probably the most fun background character detail in 'Welcome to Heaven', but that isn't the only fun little detail.

You can find almost all the characters shown on the two billboards hanging out and some even joining the dance.

Makes me wonder if they're all part of some kind of welcoming committee living close to the gate so that they can help new souls arriving in Heaven.

It'd honestly make sense too. Imagine how disorienting it must be to suddenly die and find yourself in Heaven.

Firstly, you'd probably be shocked that you're dead and in Heaven. Before even getting time to come to terms with that, you have also gotten a new form and wings! All while surrounded by other bizarre looking beings. It'd be surprising if it wasn't overwhelming.

So having a welcoming committee by the gate would actually be pretty clever.

Oh and also imagine if Angel goes to Heaven and finding his sister almost right away! That'd be so wholesome!

It'd be funny if the reason they were so coordinated throughout the song was because they've done it countless times too XD

I love these fun small details you can find throughout the show. It might not hold much significant meaning, but they're still fun to find.

Easter!

Happy Easter from The Ancient Hero and Ancient Zelda!

If Hyrule celebrated Easter and had egg hunts Ancient Zelda wouldn't be allowed to hide the eggs because she'll hide them in the most absurd places and sometimes adding traps or fake eggs. Some that even explode.

Zelda's egg hunts are a safety hazard.

Even after easter because sometimes she forgets where she placed them, which has resulted in someone falling into a trap months later.

The only ones to ever succeed a Zelda egg hunt is The Ancient Hero and the Champions.

I just noticed a very interesting note in Alastor's ad in episode 1...

Who in Hazbin Hotel is the most associated with circus decor?

Lucifer.

Less than 5 min into episode 1 and we already get a hint that Alastor isn't a big fan of Lucifer.

Which is interesting because it implies that Alastor disliked Lucifer before he even involved himself with the hotel. They hadn't even met yet.

It's such a weirdly specific thing to add to a commercial too. Because when I think hotel, circus decor wouldn't be anywhere on my list of expectations.

It's clearly targeted towards Lucifer. An indirect insult Alastor probably had wanted Lucifer to see.

If this is the case, some of Alastor's commentary can be looked at slightly differently.

Lines like "Lucifer's delusional daughter", "Daddy issues" and the other insulting commentary can then also be partly aimed at Lucifer.

Which would probably be effective hits because Lucifer definitely wouldn't be happy about someone offending his daughter, but the "Daddy issues" line would probably make him feel guilt.

It's as if Alastor wanted to pick a fight the first chance he got to potentially reach Lucifer.

But like...why?

In episode 5 we have a reasonable explanation for why Alastor is poking at Lucifer. Alastor likes to be in control and have power over others, however even he knows Lucifer is more powerful than him. Therefore he aims at Lucifer's relationship with Charlie (which is what the dad comments are really about) to regain some of that power.

Which is why it doesn't make any sense for him to indirectly target Lucifer in episode 1.

Why pick a fight with the King of Hell when he barely had anything to hold over Lucifer?

When this ad was made, Charlie had known Alastor for only a week and therefore claiming to be close to her would be weird.

Heck, Alastor is even insulting Charlie and the hotel here, which definitely doesn't give him any favour from her.

Another point could be that Alastor is also partly annoyed at having to make a video. He probably doesn't expect it to air. But that still doesn't explain why he'd deliberately add a note directed at Lucifer.

So.....What's the deal here Alastor?

There isn't a clear reason for doing this.

The only one I can guess that makes some sense is that Alastor just wanted to feel some sense of power by indirectly insulting Lucifer, who is the most powerful being in all of Hell. Getting a chance to hit him where it hurts would probably bring Alastor a lot of satisfaction.

Another option is that it could be related to Lilith, if she turned out to be the one he made a deal with. It could be that Alastor's frustration over his deal makes him want to take it out on Lucifer (since he obviously can't take it out on Charlie). Lilith telling him to do it is possible, but I find it unlikely. Unless her real motive was pushing Lucifer out of his isolation and back into Charlie's life. Still find it unlikely tho.

In the end, it still feels weird for Alastor to be this intent on picking on Lucifer this early on. Taking advantage of the first opportunity to have a message reach Lucifer, despite Alastor neither having power or leverage over him if Lucifer had responded.

So...Alastor...

EDIT: I just realized how funny it is that despite saying there is no tacky circus decor, the hotel itself is FULL of it XD

Now that I think about it, that might actually be the joke behind the note.

(Admittedly, this might just be a fun bit of foreshadowing and doesn't really have any deeper meaning)

(Also, Lucifer's circus decor isn't tacky. I'd definitely be down for staying at a hotel with his aesthetic and decor. But, maybe that's just me)

(It kinda reminds me of how Vox immediately went to send a message to Alastor on TV the moment he learned of his return XD)

The Ancient Hero and Ancient Zelda meets Zelda and Link from 10 000+ years in the future.

While both are princesses and heroes, they're also very different. Like how our ancient princess loves destruction.

The idea of The Ancient Hero zooming around like a cat is so funny (>ω<). Especially with how non-feral he usually acts (despite his appearance).

So zoomies are cannon in my Ancient AU now.

I might make a comic of that in the future •̀.̫•́✧

But that's a tale for another day.

First have to do part 2 of this generational meet and greet. XD

Seeing people taking interesting in my AU is great for motivation and is overall exciting to see, especially with the amount of work I've been putting into it whenever I have time.

Welcome to Ninma’s Ancient AU! Taking place 10 000 years ago with the Ancient Hero and the people around him. From the clever wild princess, to the first champions and even a few of the Hero’s own creations [Boy makes his own Zonai-Sheikah hybrid tech, he is a bit of a nerd. Already posted an illustration featuring Karl and you can see Link wearing the HeroPad in this comic].

If it wasn’t already obvious, I enjoy fun twists XD

I hope my AU is something people find fun and interesting^^.

This took a long time to make and so knowing whether or not people want more would really help with motivation. So I’d love to know what people think.

In the meantime, let’s hope Zelda doesn’t make an even bigger explosion next time [or maybe you do].

There are many mysteries surrounding the Ancient Hero, but one interesting detail is how his outfit is nearly identical to the Zonite armor. Which is designed for Zonai devices.

So I couldn't help but love the idea of the ancient hero being a total tech nerd.

I liked it so much that I've ended up thinking about an AU about 10 000 years ago XD

Which is how I ended up designing an ancient Impa alongside Karl the Zonai-Sheikah Guardian (made to help, not to massacre. He is a good boy)

Imagine being a normal person hoping the hero will save the world again, only to watch said hero glue together the weirdest shit possible. 

Islands are floating, malice is back and their hero is playing with arts and crafts.

We know it is at least 10 000 years between Wild and the others.  

To put that into perspective;

It’s the amount of time between today and when mammoths went extinct. 

The chain could’ve been chilling with sabertooth tigers, and even the hero before Wild could’ve met one. 

And that’s the MINIMUM! 

The time between Wild and Sky must be insane. 

It’s almost funny how little Hylians have evolved. Good for the chain, at least. Because if Hylians evolved like us, it would’ve been like meeting people from the new stone age, which is still the minimum!

Have fun reflecting on that!

The fact that there's still a seemingly endless amount of malice even after Calamity Ganon's defeat makes sense. 

Because 10 000 years worth of malice is A LOT. 

I'm not sure people realize just how long ten thousand years is. To put that into perspective;

10 000 years ago, humanity had just entered the new stone age. 

It was when people figured out farming was a good idea. Still using stone, bones, and flint tools. Some sabertooth tigers might've still been chilling. 

Imagine the sheer amount of hate built up from when mammoths went extinct up until today.

Have fun fighting that amount of malice. 

Ten thousand years is a loooooooong time. Ganon sure knows how to hold a grudge. (¯―¯٥)

It's impressive how you can still find the ruins of the Temple of Time and even Lon Lon Ranch. 

Not to mention how Zelda's bloodline is still solidly going. Keeping a royal family line that long is insane. 

And there haven’t been any other heroes during that time? That's so hard to imagine. Aren’t there other enemies requiring a hero with the Master sword to defeat? If not, it'd be as if the previous hero had been vibing with sabertooth tigers, and the new would've been playing the switch. 

This might actually be the case because the shrines hadn't been used before Botw Link. That’s a long time without heroes. 

The Deku tree is freaking ancient. The master sword too, and who knows how old they are! 

And wth is Sheikah tech made out of?! To last this long and still work...they did too good of a job. 

With ten thousand years of malice to fight…not looking good for you Link. Hopefully, with the newly acquired magic ducktape, you'll find some insane way to win. 

10 000 years is ridiculously long.

Anime Sherlock vs. Manga Sherlock

Anime Sherlock: Should I have killed Hope to find the mastermind and stop them from committing more crimes?!

I should have killed him to get awnsers!

Manga Sherlock: Did I fail The Lord of Crime's test by not shooting Hope and now they won't give me another case?! Did I cut our connection and now I won't be able to solve the mystery?!

I should have killed him! 

Anime Sherlock doesn't really make sense because in the same episode he goes:

From extremely frustrated to excited puppy after spotting one of his suspects.

Has a lot of fun talking

Says it'd be fun if William turned out to be The Lord of Crime.

Says they would get along famously

Gives him the nickname 'Liam'

Invites him to eat together sometime

Why would you want the person you love talking to to be the cunning criminal you so desperately want to stop from killing?

Anime Sherlock is weird....okey both Sherlocks are weirdos. And we still love them.

I just noticed this...there aren't any supplies on Liam's horse...

In other words...

He has been traveling for what? 24 hours? Mostly on horseback and doesn't appear to have any food or water (or anything to boil water in) with him. Does he even have a map?! I don't see any. Even Billy needed a map. Did Liam just memorize one?

Not to mention the question about how he even got a horse.

Despite the lack of food, water and having just travelled for over a day, this man still had enough strength to send a man flying before fighting against at least 30 gunmen with only a cane as his weapon and made them scream in terror. Sure, Sherlock came to help him, but he had already scared the shit out of them.

And that's without even mentioning the fact he just recently woke up from a months long coma.

Never pick a fight with this man or even think about hurting anyone he cares about. He is a force of nature and will make you regret it. And there's nothing in this world that can stop him.

I wonder what it's like to stumble across Sherliam without context.

Because in no other series would shipping Sherlock Holmes with Moriarty not only make sense, but also be a canonically healthier relationship than both a majority of ships and a large amount of actual relationships within the romance genre.

Only in Moriarty The Patriot does that make sense.

It really does sound crazy out of context.

Makes me wonder what everyone who scroll down the Sherlock Holmes taggs without context thinks XD
