My favorite relationship dynamic in fiction is a worshipper and their God. Not a literal God, but their God. The only thing in the whole world that matters to them. OH PUZZLES! MY LITTLE FREAK WHO DOESN’T KNOW HOW TO BE GENUINE AND PLAYS INTO THE SHOWMAN PERSONA TO AVOID THINKING ABOUT HIS FEELINGSSS!!

It’s not even just avoidance of being vulnerable with others because he does it when he’s alone.

This is just… the only way he knows how to process strong emotions and I love that for him.

My precious Puzzie Pie… he is so Bad at It. Even when it feels like he wants to be genuine he backs out of it at the last minute.

Like yeah in this case when pressed he doubles back and has a moment of honesty but that was only when at risk of getting lasered. Took pretty extreme circumstances

And I think WPNZ’s reaction to this is interesting, because he’s also someone who avoids vulnerability and struggles to treat people like people. (Where Puzzles treats those around him like actors or fictional characters, WPNZ treats even those he genuinely cares about as tools and… yknow. Weapons)

The way WPNZ responds to this with amusement at Puzzles’ antics with a little smile! I think he knows exactly what Puzzles was doing and finds this method of avoidance… just amusing! Charming, maybe. Either way, he’s happy to be given an out and pretend the emotional moment never happened.

But UGHH Puzzles was absolutely intending to make a genuine attempt at comfort before chickening out. Look at his faces. His body language.

He’s nervous! He has no idea how to handle this and settles on not handling it at all! He wants to connect over this, but he doesn’t know how! The only thing he knows how to do is perform, put on a show.

That and manipulation. Performance and manipulation are how he interacts with anyone. And it’s amazing seeing him so nervous and out of his element when faced with people who are willing to reach out and work with him on their own. So he defaults back to manipulation and/or showboating. (People are starting to see through that, though.)

He craves connection but also it freaks him out!

Also apparently he is currently capable of doing brainwashing. I thought he needed 5 stars for that to work in the real world but okay? Maybe he retained some of the engine room’s power from Puzzle Park??

Augh. Love this guy. Hope he escapes his fate of death by torture cube

This story takes place in rural Japan in a small village, its main characters are V1Eclipse [Daffodil] & 64 [sona insert].

Lore about the Animas:

During the 1970’s, scientists in America managed to create a human like species called “AO-M” (animatronic organic material) by adding different DNA’s of existing species including human DNA; they became a subspecies of humans with characteristics and traits reflecting their genetics unique to each their own, each specimen computer coded for their specific purposes.

The information spread across the globe quickly, making top header in every informational news possible; this captured the American Government’s attention as they funded more towards the research in order to exploit and utilize them for free labor, causing unemployment to skyrocket and protests to rise across states.

Now in the year 20**, the world has changed rapidly with first world classes mass producing the AO-M’s; gaining a new name of “Anima” after their uprising in the 90’s. Over the years their values and roles have also changed, from just company laborers to baby sitters, retail workers, hair stylists, teachers, nurses, doctors and even children for willing parents to adopt.

Although many laws have passed providing the Anima’s with proper rights as humans, they are still faced with racism and prejudice by others; in some parts of the world the Anima’s are still considered pets/property mostly seen in places of corrupt government, being genetically engineered to be nothing but slaves for the human population.

Storyline:

After Sun messed up his spell, V1!Eclipse was transported to this dimension; falling from the sky and into the woods. His body now mangled and broken, he yelled out with all the energy he had left, pure anger and grief; though unbeknownst to Eclipse, one of the locals had heard his distant cry, finding him passed out the next day as they took him to their local astrophysicist for help.

Eclipse spends his time with the astrophysicist and the villagers, using them to gain information about the new world, gain the parts needed for his recovery and return to his revenge against Sun and Moon. Though things don’t go smoothly as technology is severely limited within the village and his body being repaired from possibly the only unguarded remnant of an animatronic within this country; a rusted pleasure bot with a female sex organ attached.

Now facing worse body dysphoria and the last of his control slipping through his fingers helplessly, Eclipse begins to spiral down a rabbit hole of depression, self loathing and guilt.

But once he meets a homeschooled Anima that oddly resembled himself, his life begins to change in ways he never thought were possible.

A story about the journey of healing, a road with painful twists and turns and soft promise for the future; a gentle caress to the cheek to making out under the abandoned bridge in the woods. Two people finding love within themselves and each other inside a village under the stars.

Edit: 3 months later and finally had the courage to post this so YEEHAW

EclipseV1 would probably be that trope of ‘(barely) Friends to lovers but one has no idea what love even is (EclipseV1) and the other is too scared/angry (player)’. He’d be the type to drag reader into gaming videos or even the daycare with the excuse of ‘Lunar wanted your presence’ or ‘Lunar won’t shut up if you aren’t there’ but we all know it’s just him making up Excuses just so he can experience what friendship is like even if it was by sheer force, I think he’d lavish in anything positive even though he cut up his own code for Lunar.

My favorite things to imagine about him is when he was still in Sun’s head he probably saw kids play fight or reader and Sun/Moon do the same thing with each other; wanting nothing more than to join in and do the same thing but obviously he can’t and it makes him even more angry and lonely. So when he finally gets out he tries to initiate it, only for Reader to see it as a display of threat/violence and either fight or run away; for EclipseV1 though, he sees it as Reader wanting to play with him and it obviously makes him even more eager. It’s just chaos as EclipseV1 is holding Reader down having a blast with a straight face (probably glaring at player unknowingly with the scariest grin known to man) and Reader having a full blown panic attack

With EclipseV2 I like to imagine him as the “scary and powerful character (EclipseV2) being this hugely awkward guy who fails at any attempt to make himself look cool and the other (Reader) falls for their stupidity trope! While he’s a terrifying person to everyone since he has the power of a god in the palm of his hands, whenever it comes to meeting with Reader he’s just a horrible mess of awkwardness and stupidity with how he’s trying at act cool around them; and listening to Funtime Foxy and Glamrock Chica isn’t helping either (I liked to think about what happened after Eclipse made everyone he’s friends and being friends with the two sillies came to mind 😭) with their flirting/dating advice.

But obviously just like me, Reader falls for it; probably feeling incredibly guilty about that fact but also enjoying the experience. I love, REALLY LOVE, to imagine EclipseV2 looking through the internet after finding Funtime Foxy and Glamrock Chica’s advice to be useless only to give up half way because he kept on stumbling on god awful advice. Though he does find a video of those knitted sad mouses that play music and being the innovator that he is, he gets an idea; now Reader is face to face with EclipseV2’s shaking giant ass hands holding a sad knitted mouse that’s playing ‘I wanna be your boyfriend” by Hot Freaks (or “the crush song” by Twaimz since I found it funny).

WHO WOULDN’T FALL FOR THAT??? I SURE WOULD
