Hey, do you know why Nikita and Artyom are referred to as "Tyoma and Kitja" in the community? Is this something the community invented or something personal? I've always thought about this, but I've never asked

"Tyoma" is a very common form of "Artyom"! It's like a shorter, cuter version of it. People often use that, mostly to kids, though. Not completely necessarily, but you won't really see people use it for grown adults, unless it's maybe coming from a romantic partner/parent and maybe friends. "Kitja/Kitya" on the other hand... I've NEVER heard of that. I'm not saying that people don't use it at all, maaaybe they do, but I feel like it's uncommon. But again, it's just MY experience, I barely know any Nikitas, lol. Tbh, it sounds like another silly made up word to describe a cute cat ("китя" (kitya), "китик" (kitik), etc.), lol.
