Is Kel really a leo?
Yes and no, simply because he wasn't born on Earth. I don't know exactly how the zodiac is really supposed to work but I feel that different planets (especially in other galaxies) would have their own systems. Max knows pretty much everything about Kel and handles a lot of his Earthly paperwork, so they worked out what the equivalent of his birthday on Earth would be. His birthday is August 8th, so that would make him a Leo. Kel doesn't know or care what that means though. It's just a Max thing.

Foundation Characters
My favourite part of writing is character development. Even very minor characters can have a proper backstory in my head and I really enjoy tugging at strings to see what characters will do in certain situations. To flesh them out and get a real idea of who they are, I need them to have lives outside of the story that influence them and so we have what I call foundation characters. They exist to essentially build another character and flesh them out and rarely make actual appearances in the story. They're usually family members and might get mentioned at some point but they aren't really intended to be "seen" by the audience.
Before the hiatus, the most popular foundation character for this series was by far Antares, the Master's first boyfriend. Ghanje made a close second, and it was actually due to a request from a reader that he got a scene in Domestic Life. Playing with alternate universes let me bring in Jinnar and Tassiel for their own little moments in the spotlight. Sandra, from the Apocalypse universe, is actually a foundation character for someone else that was planned to join Torchwood for the would-be sequel.
All this just to say that one of my personal favourites is Alice, Kevin's mother. She's nobody special and is really quite boring, but I love her. I've thought about giving her a scene somewhere pretty much since Kevin was introduced but just never really had a good enough reason to. She's mousy with a little mischievous streak and she is absolutely where Kevin gets his kindness. Nista respects the hell out of her and has spent many afternoons doing yardwork or other chores for her (usually with Kevin) and has been at her place for some holidays over the years. She's afraid of all bugs, even butterflies, and dogs but she loves mice/rats and usually has at least one as a pet at a time.
I just really like her and she'll probably never get an appearance so there you have it. Alice Edwards: easy to frighten, a bit boring, and a total sweetheart.

While talking about max, you mentioned there was supposed to be another installment in the series that won't be coming. After Gods of War is over, will we see a synopsis of what that installment would have been?
Will we also be getting more insight on the Greek mythology book you've been working on?
(Recently been studying Greek myth/ religion/ hellinism/ modern takes on the practice- I have a link to a drive of a shit ton ((PDFs of books regarding Greek mythology/religion)) of resources, if that interests you. Always love sharing free knowledge).
I probably wouldn't do a synopsis because tbh I'm terrible at them. I have considered writing one or two chapters to maybe stand alone as extra content or something, but it's hard to say. We'll just have to wait and see what happens when I get there. Max and Johan (who has been mentioned twice now in the story) were/are meant to be part of the new Torchwood crew and I was quite looking forward to writing them so there's always a chance that I'll get pulled back into it.
As for the Greek mythology story, I'm not too sure how much I can really share as I do hope to publish it, but I'm certainly open to questions. Right now, the working title is Ekdusis, which is basically the Greek word for "shed" (as in shedding skin). The series is primarily based on Ovid's Metamorphosis and focuses on Medusa as the main character, with the first book focusing primarily on her meeting and traveling with Perseus (who canonically killed her in the mythology). It is intended to be a story about feminine rage and the realization that there is no scenario in which people like Medusa could ever "win" because they simply aren't supposed to. Other mythological characters (aside from the gods) that will have focus on them throughout the series will be Danae (Perseus's mother), Arachne, Andromeda, and Echo. I have a long history of accidentally putting horror scenes in my stories (even when it isn't meant to be horror) so I'm gonna lean into it with this, and I'm playing a little bit with Cosmic Horror too.
Thank you so much for offering to share your information! I feel I've got a pretty good library of my own going but every little bit helps 😉

How would you describe Kahlia's personality in Harry's mind VS how she actually was?
What was Harry's understanding of her versus what she actually had going on in her mind? Would you say the way you write her as a hallucination differs from her actual portrayal?
She would have been a lot like the version that Ganbri and Nista met on Gallifrey. She was patient and playful. The version that became the Nightmare carried a lot of insecurity inside her, though she wouldn't have let it show much, and she used that as motivation. She wanted to prove herself worthy, as a Time Lord and as her father's daughter.
Harry's hallucinations are focused more on who she became as the Nightmare, so she says cruel things and tries to frighten him. That is true to how she was in life, but only after she looked into the Schism. It's a bit like the difference between Harry as he is now and the Master with the drumming.
Her line "Bring him to me. I'll take them all." while sitting with the boys was painful for Harry in two ways. Obviously, the Nightmare killed them so the line is ominous in that way, but Harry also knows that Kahlia was naturally protective and caring. Had he not shot her mother or had she not looked into the Schism, she would have been more like (though not quite the same as) the version who is helping raise Berran and Hannes (and quickly adopted Ganbri too). She would have loved them and taken care of them, and Harry knows that.
Harry is seeing mixes of who she really was and who she became, with only a small amount of his own influence in there.

Kahlia is so funny 😂 I know Harry was just hallucinating her, but she had him clocked when she said Kel was his type! I'm 100% Team Doctor/Harry, but I can see the appeal of Kel. I've really enjoyed the chapters exploring Harry's relationship with Kel but I like that Kel has more or less stayed true to his ace-ness - I'm glad he has another good friend after Jack has betrayed the family ( even if nobody realises it yet). That's gonna sting when it all comes out for sure! Super excited for the next chapter from the Doctors POV! (Also, what have you done to poor precious sweet baby Nista? My sweet baby boy 😭)
I enjoyed writing her little moments in this chapter. She antagonizes Harry but he loves her so much and I liked letting him see a younger version of her here. Even if she was still being mean to him, he got to see her as she was when they still had a good relationship (or as good as was really possible for them). I also like using her in Harry's subconscious to dredge up his deepest fears because he can't deny them to her.
I know a lot of people ship Harry and Kel hard, but I did want Kel to stay true to himself. He's not completely aromantic and he does like the idea of falling in love, but thinking about it and doing it are very different. Plus, Harry is a very sexual person and that would be quite difficult for them to navigate.
If we saw the kiss scene from Kel's POV, it would have looked very different. He was in a great deal of emotional distress at the time, his memory was acting up so he was also a bit confused, and then he felt terribly guilty when he realized that Harry had feelings for him. As he said, he has his own problems with his sexuality and struggles sometimes with the thought that he's broken or something is wrong with him because of it (we can thank his parents for that). Then of course there was the fear factor that kicked in when Harry got excited and Kel is still struggling with Hathorne assaulting him (plus confusion). I am considering letting Kel explain himself a little more if it fits in nicely, so I won't say too much more here just yet, but the bottom line is that even if he wanted it to work, Kel is in no place to start a relationship right now (especially as it would be his first!)
I'm happy to be getting back to the Doctor too! I've missed him 🥰
(And Jack promised that Nista would be okay, so I guess it just depends on if you believe him or not)

Soooo, when are they eating him?
😂😂🤣
I was not expecting that!
Kevin has always been really respectful of Nista's culture and tries to participate when he can, but ingesting any parts of a body isn't something he'd be comfortable with. The idea behind eating the deceased in Alreesh culture is to take the strength they have given you and do something with it. Kevin is doing his best to honour that by preparing to go to work and carrying the body. He would be the one to tend to the body once it's back at headquarters as well. He'll do the work, just not the eating 😅 As for everyone else, they understood that Nista had different beliefs, but no one else has really ever participated. I would expect his body to go un-bitten.

Happy birthday! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Your dog looks very sweet. Please give them pats from me and I hope you have a rad birthday.
Thank you! 😊 I've had the whole week off work and have been able to visit a bunch of my family so it's been pretty good.
Chaplin is very sweet 🥰 he is my soul dog for sure, my little shadow. He's coming up on 16, he's blind, and I think he's getting a touch of dementia, but he's still happy and (mostly) healthy.
I took a little video of him getting your pats 😅

It's hot today 🥵 Thank goodness Chaplin just went to the groomer for his summer cut but we're both still melting.
I'm just putting the finishing touches on chapter 63 and it should be up later tonight. Also, it's my birthday today so send me some good vibes ✌

Is the Doctor gonna fight for his marriage? 🥺 I can't bare the thought of him and Harry splitting up!
That's a tough question to answer, especially without just telling you what happens. The Doctor has a long, long history of running away when things get hard, believing that that's what is best for everyone. He desperately doesn't want their marriage to end but there is a part of him that has been waiting for this. With pretty much anyone, the Doctor sees it as only a matter of time before he loses them and Harry is certainly not the exception.

Out of the main cast, how many of them are gonna be googling how to kill an immortal in the next couple chapters?
Well, that would be assuming they even know what happened. The only other person who knew Ganbri even left home was Nista. They might not be able to find him in the morning, but they'd have no way of knowing where he went.

What does everyone physically look like at this point? I've got some kind of an idea but it's blurred overtime.
Oh dear, we have a rather extensive cast 😅 The Doctor and Harry still look as they would have from the show, plus some scars and crooked fingers. Ganbri's new body is a rather large build (about 6'1") with dark features and some freckles (he looks more like the Doctor's son now than in his old body). Nista is very small (barely over five feet tall and petite), brown skin, yellow eyes, curly black hair that he tends to wear around chin to shoulder length (now shaved on the right side), black freckles on his face, and now the large scar that starts next to his right eye and curves up and around his head. Annie is about 5'9", and has brown skin (not quite as dark as Shaun's) with wavy black hair and brown eyes. Kel (with Hathorne as host) is six feet tall and strongly built, with dark features and slightly curly hair. Celeste is also six feet, very fair skin, blue eyes, and blonde hair that she usually keeps tied back and (while not bulky) is visibly muscular. Kevin is a bit small for a guy (around 5'6"), with auburn hair, brown eyes, and some slight freckling on his face and arms.
I think that covers just about anyone who wasn't on the show but let me know if I missed anyone 😊

There's a lot of love for Harry from your followers, and I love him too! But I have to say that the Doctor deserves a bit of love too! It's not his fault that Harry built him up as a prize in his head and believed that he needed the Doctor to be a good man!
In reality the Doctor is this fucked up little gremlin-man :( I think his biggest character flaw is his inability to understand how his fucked up brain affects other people (because he's not honest with himself like Harry), but ultimately he's a good father and a good husband. He's suffered so much loss, a lot due to his own actions, and he has struggled to come to terms with it. I hope it's not coming too late to save his marriage! I hope Ganbri making him realise he needs to be honest with himself and his family hasn't come too late for him and Harry!
Harry deserves to be happy and feel equal in a partnership and free, but so does the Doctor (even if he doesn't believe it himself, yet!)
I agree with you on that 😊 The Doctor hasn't had a chapter of his own in quite some time (not since before the hiatus even), while Harry has had several. It makes sense that people are gonna focus on and empathize more with Harry right now.
The Doctor is a pretty tragic character over all and the show gives us tiny glimpses at how sad he truly is and how dangerous he can be. I was always interested in the Doctor saying that he cried and ran away when he looked into the Untempered Schism and that he never stopped running. They shot past it pretty casually, but I took it to mean that it is literally the reason he is who is and makes the choices he does, much like how the drums shaped the Master. People noticed the Master "going mad" but did nothing to help him and kind of gave up on him, instead just labelling him as a renegade and a lost cause. I feel like the same thing may have happened to the Doctor, just a lot more quietly because he didn't fight it.
I do love your description of him being a fucked up little gremlin-man 😂 I'd say that's quite accurate. The truth is I really don't think there is that much of a difference between the Doctor and the Master aside from their level of masking.
The next chapter is another Harry one, but we'll be finally getting a Doctor one after that 😁
