Girls conjured from fire. Girls that burn with a passion that leaves everyone breathless. Girls that offer warmth but will burn those who get too close. Girls that will destroy in order for new to grow. Girls that are unbound by expectations.

Girls reborn from ash. Girls that survived unspeakable tragedies. Girls that need help to learn how to love again. Girls that realize that they are deserving of happiness. Girls that give solidarity and support to the ones who need it. Girls that are war-torn but continue to simmer with hope.

Proposed feminamoric flag!

Feminamoric: nonbinary person attracted to women (be it romantic\sexual\alterous\whatever other way(s) are significant to them).

Who can use it?

For use by ANY non-binary person regardless of their gender alignment or lack of alignment. This is NOT exclusive to stellarian/non-aligned non-binary people, however this group may find it most useful.

NOT for use by binary or cis individuals. This term is an orientation intended for non-binary individuals only.

What does the flag represent?

The non-binary colours dominate the flag as the individual’s non-binary-ness is central to the attraction and is what makes the attraction inherently non-straight. The coloured stripes at the side represent gender. As Venus is seen as the “female” planet, and is yellow, the yellow shades represent the female gender the non-binary person is attracted to.

Why was this term created/necessary?

Whilst some NB people are comfortable using binary/binary-aligned terms, being nonbinary is a distinct experience from being binary, and as such influences the way a person views their orientation. Words like feminamoric and its sibling term, viramoric aim to center those experiences, rather than tacking them on as secondary.

Although some NB people find community and validation from using terms like sapphic and achillean, as they may be binary aligned, there is a lack of terminology for non-aligned NB people to describe their attractions/orientations. In a binary society, these attractions are inherently not straight. These new labels have been coined to help build community between non-aligned nonbinary folk, and fill the language gap that has existed for a long time in naming our orientations.

Hey! I’m not one to shamelessly plug my own content, but I’m sick of reading nothing but hetero fiction, so here’s an ongoing story I’m writing featuring not one but two bisexual characters!

The main character is a seventeen-year-old bisexual girl named Kelsey who has a knack for fibbing her way out of tricky situations. Her love interest is a mixed race nonbinary boy (also bi) who just so happens to be a human lie detector. On their own, they’re equally fearsome people, but together they’re unstoppable.
