Before anyone asks, no I’m not Miley. She is in hospital, I’m simply a friend to all trying to bring some reason to the whole situation.

Before Miley deleted herself from the internet she sent out peace and wished that everyone would be happy. ‘Even the girls on tumblr’. That shows you how much of a nice person she is. All she wants is for the support to go to Nikolas and/or the victims, whichever your preference, and for everyone to stop being at each other’s throats all the time. It genuinely upsets her. We’re mostly all in this for the same reasons right? Interest in true crime and trying to shine the spotlight on mental health. I know a lot of people think that the shit posts about nipples and dick pics take away from this the seriousness of the situation. It’s a shame because we could all bring about real change if we stopped attacking each other all the time. Back in the early days of the ‘Cruzers’ or whatever they’re called now, real friendships were formed that are still going strong today. Why has that stopped happening? Why does it have to be ‘this gang of girls vs that gang of girls?’ Girls need to be there for each other because let’s face it, the world deals us some pretty shit cards at times. I know that this has all made Miley very unwell and she is currently in hospital although I don’t know what the outcome is yet. So maybe just take a step back and think about the consequences of the things you say. I don’t mean just you, I’m talking about tumblr as a whole. The saying ‘sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me’ couldn’t be further from the truth right now. I know a lot of you think the whole letters thing is messed up or whatever but please bare in mind that Miley is only human and I can promise you she never wanted this. She read the letters for the first time on Monday just like all of us so you can imagine what this week has been like for her trying to process it all. Put yourself in her position just for a minute and imagine how you would feel and then all of a sudden you start receiving screenshot after screenshot of shit written about you on tumblr. Miley has always been very open and would have invited anyone in to her inbox. She has appreciated the people who took the time to do this rather than try to annihilate her as a person. I could understand if she was all over the internet saying OH MY GOD NIK HAS WRITTEN TO MEEEEEEEE! IN YOUR FACE! But she is actually so so upset and overwhelmed by the whole thing. And now she’s back in hospital having only just gained her strength and weight back after a nasty bout of sepsis back in March. Okay well I feel like I’m rambling now lol.
